wow, almost bedtime already, this day has gone by very fast !
Picked up my new phone today, got an upgrade for free so thought why not! Switched from the iPhone to a Samsung and so far love it. The much larger screen is great. Now learning to navigate around it. Once 90 days is up it will be unlocked and I can get a sim card for when I am in the states and hopefully save a bundle. Now I can see what is on my phone without a magnifying glass !

Good evening mmc buddies! I am on break at work and am surfing the web, looking thru the ski resorts to see if they are having any specials! I am on a budget this year and skiing is so expensive!! it's really a good thing this year the snow is not what they were predicting, I have only been out 3 times. Oh well I hope to get a lot in this weekend. I hope everyone is having a great start to your weekend!!! Talk to y'all soon!

Well it's almost the end of the day and it also looks like my hopes are dashed for a mega-snowstorm for this area. The local radar has the storm pushing in warmer air right now, and it is turning it into sleet and rain. That's a big time bummer for me. I was really looking forward to getting about a foot of snow and then play around tomorrow on the tractor with the snow thrower on it.
Now, I'm somewhat concerned about just how much of this precipitation is going to stay rain or turn into anymore ice, because Zachary is at work and won't get off until 11:00 tonight or so and then he has to drive about 30 minutes to get home here....The snow was supposed to hold off, but it's raining right now and I hope now that it does not turn over to any frozen anything until he gets home. I realize that he's 22, and he's a big boy, but as his pop, I still worry about him.....
Everyone else is home, it's quiet at the moment, everyone is heading to bed now, but I think I will stay up until Zach gets home.

I just don't understand what people buy for these snow events. I can definitely see milk, bread, canned goods. So many people come in and buy pounds and pounds of steak and other meats for these snowstorms, the stuff I would avoid when it comes to possible power outages. I am sure it is because they plan on using a grill to cook it but I would be afraid of spoiling if there were a long power outage.
