Just a quick update, the plows are going by making a big noise, shaking the house. We have about 2 inches on the ground and the wind is starting to howl, sounds very surreal when you open the door.



I will try to be around tomorrow.

Merry Morning all.

I am tired.

Just dropped Jacob to school. There was a special assembly this morning to hand out achievement awards and he got one for is math progress. I am glad he made it in after being off for the past few days. I am now getting ready to take Isaac to the Doctor in a bit. He had a terrible night. I thought he was improving. Our doctor's office is around the corner from our house so luckily it takes literally a minute to get there.

Thankfully we did not lose power. My area has a snowfall total of about 20 inches so far. The snow is still falling and is supposed to continue through the afternoon so I'm sure we're looking at a few more inches. It's still windy out there and the snow is swirling around, looks like a snowglobe. The travel ban has just been lifted but they're urging people to stay home since the roads remain dangerous. So glad we can just relax and stay in today!

Good morning!
Not too much going on today. This storm should be moving out of here this afternoon and then we'll start to dig out. Well I'm not sure if I'll be shoveling since I came down with this cold, I'll see how I feel later. I have to wash and dry a couple of loads of laundry and I'm going to make a pot of beef vegetable soup for dinner. Other than I just plan on just taking it easy. I hope everyone is well. Thanks, y'all! I'm at home now and will be working from home the rest of today, tomorrow, and maybe Wednesday. Once Mr. gets back from the post office we'll be hunkered down for the duration.

Dawg, this one doesn't sound like it'll be much fun. I don't mind a big snowstorm if I can work from home, but if there's a good chance of losing power, as there is with this storm, it worries me. We don't have heat without electricity, so I'm going to keep the thermostat a little higher upstairs and down for the duration just in case.

Hello!! Anticipating snow.. Got about 5 inches Friday/Saturday and maybe 1 inch last night and 6-10 tonight. Hoping school just cancels tonight and let's us know and I hope my hubby doesn't have to trek into the city for work tomorrow!!!

So far, so good. We've had snow showers all day but the heavy stuff will arrive later. I heard up to 5 inches of snow per hour is possible. The governor declared a state of emergency earlier in the day and a travel ban for all Long Island roadways goes in to effect at 11:00pm. Trying not to watch the news too much, it's making me nervous. My oldest is at work but thankfully the gym is closing at 6:00pm. Just waiting on my husband after that. Then we'll hunker down! Thank you for asking.
I saw that you had a rough ride in to work, that is frightening. Keeping you in my prayers and wishing you safe travels.

Finally got mom to call the lawyer a little bit ago and they are sending some here to meet with her in the morning to go over everything. Which I'm happy about that. Wasn't looking forward to having to drive downtown and finding somewhere to park to go to their office. So I will probably be late getting on here tomorrow.

just getting to work and checked my mail...ho hum kind of day I am having, I did get my weekly TIME magazine so I can read that while I am not busy. The end of the month paper work comes later in the week, I should get a head up with that, BUT I am the worst at getting started with things like that..Hope everyone is having a great afternoon!

good to hear the storm was not nearly as bad as predicted for some of you. I hear the winds will be spreading around the joy for awhile. That same system is moving into our east coast today.

Off to see the dr, did I say I do not like going there? Oh well, tons of forms to fill out since it happened at work.

Well, the rain has stopped but it's turning colder.
Mild considering what is happening to the northeast, but chilly for us.
Today has begun at 33 degrees here in the central NC part of MMC.

That's pretty much what I heard on the radio a short while ago. There are about 23,000 without power on the South Shore and Cape. We are not so near the coast, so we have power and about 14 inches of snow so far. Can't open the back storm door, and after a few more inches we won't be able to open the front storm door, either. The wind is wild out there. The peak of the storm is to last for a few hours yet, but snow will continue through the wee hours at less intensity. Wish I could relax and enjoy it, but I have to work from home today.

Watching CNN and news about this storm, be careful all you in the path of this. I read through the posts and see you are all well prepared. Praying your power stays on and you keep warm.

Today here was bright and sunny and really cold. Work went well, it was busy for a Monday. Go see dr about my ankle tomorrow, I think it is feeling much better, would love to be out of this air cast but do not want to re-injure it by getting out of it to soon.

Dinner is done and now can just relax for the evening. Hope you all have a great one.
