Merry Morning

We have snow!

We have accumulation and at -6C with blizzard like winds, it was quite the challenge walking to school. The roads were a mess. Most parents are walking distance from the school so why they choose to drive through this is beyond me. Cars were at a snail's pace and one lost control on the ice. Roads are very narrow here and there is no pick/drop off point for cars at schools. It is chaos on a normal day so you can imagine on a day like this!

Thank goodness Mr Festive is home this week so I could leave Isaac asleep, he is still very unwell.

Hope you are all well and coping through the weather. I am just having a cup of peach/apricot tea and watching Happy Days. I want to start some work but I know as soon as I start , Isaac will wake up lol.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Another busy day here at work, but I like it like that.

Not much to report from last night. I watched "Insidious 2"...by myself...in the dark. Eeek! I love those scary ghost-type movies.

I think Lulu might be getting a bladder infection, bless her heart. I'll have to watch her a little more closely.

[Holiday]

this is the story of the hour going quickly around our city. The most popular tobogganing hill in town for generations has been stripped of snow and then had salt and sand applied to it.

apparently one parent complained it was to dangerous to allow kids to play here.
Face book is just buzzing with outrage over this.

Awe! What a bummer! Looks like a fun time to me! Hope it's up & running again soon!

I can honestly say, that it was something that you don't see every day, Nothing much really happened, just some pushing and shoving, a lot of trash talking and some serious F bombs...

I really like the one guy, the other one, I talk to him when I have to, but don't trust him, so I stay away from him. The good guy was taking the high road over the whole and was pretty much acting like no big deal. But the other guy who is the pita, he was running his mouth all day stirring up more trouble. I got to give the good guy credit, he just ignored it.

I was kind of hoping they get rid of the one guy that started it, but I doubt it. Oh well, at least it provided some excitement in the office....

Good evening,

Nice restful day today, I really didn't do much of anything. I guess I will take down the last tree on Sunday, meaning I will have a tree up until February. I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed.
I made a run to Goodwill today, I found nothing I liked for Christmas items but did find a shelf to display some of my Santas on.
Back to work tomorrow, never fun to do that.

Good morning. Just took a couple of cold pills, hoping they make me feel better before I have to leave for work. I don't have anything planned for this afternoon, I'll just be home working on daily chores. Maybe I'll find some time to relax, we'll see.

Thank you Isaac just woke up and he has definitely improved since yesterday. He is in a lot better spirits.

Hope you all have a great weekend. I am looking forward to Superbowl weekend! I am not in work and Mr has Monday off. Have fun spending time together and catching up on some rest!

Quite cold yesterday with a bit of wind. At least there was plenty of sun and no precip of any kind.
A chilly rut is predicted but at least we will have stability, with our morning lows around 30 and our highs somewhere in the 40's.
Right now, we show 26 degrees here in our little part of the MMC Nation.

We got some rainy/icky stuff early this morning - driveway was slick, but by the time I came to work, it was warmed up enough (36) that the roads were mostly just wet - a little slick in spots, but ok! Now it's just cloudy & they are saying 40º by early afternoon with rain moving in - then dropping temps & rain turning to snow. Guess we'll find out! :smile:

Gracie goes to the beauty parlor at lunch. She's getting ready to go on vacation! :grin:
Dad has his appointment with the surgeon this afternoon, so hopefully they don't have any issues getting there - my sister is taking them. Hoping & praying for some good news for him! xx

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a weird day here with temps shooting up into the 40's by lunch time then plummeting into the upper 20's by late afternoon with some rain and snow moving in too. I have a few errands to run so I think I better get them done this morning. Then I can work on some stuff around the apartment later today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope the spaghetti & meatballs were delicious! I love trying new recipes! :grin: I love my crock pot too!! You should be able to buy just a new lid if you like the crock pot you have!







Funny story - yesterday my brother who lives next door to my parents- him, my sil, & my nephew (who is 23 years old) all jumped on their 4 wheeler & drove lunch over to Mom & Dad. They walked in the door & told them they were "Meals on Wheels" cheesy Goof balls! Mom/Dad got a big kick out of that!

Good morning mmc! I had bad allergies last night (stuffed head)so I took some Benadryl and I can barely hold my eyes open today, and I really can't be like that with a 2 and 3 year old running wild this morning. It's a rather warm 38F here today suppose to get up into the upper 40's, with rain coming in a little later on. I just popped some buttermilk biscuits into the oven(Pillsbury) hehe I wish I could make buttermilk biscuits from scratch! Hope everyone is having a great Thursday morning!

Happy Thursday!

Back in the office after a longer-than-usual commute---got stuck behind an accident. Roads are nearly clear, but people just won't drive carefully!

COLD---it was -1F when I left this morning. There's talk of a bit of snow tomorrow, and a possible larger storm Sunday night. I'll be keeping my eye on that one. The radio is advising people to get the snow off their roof before more snow or rain comes along to add to the weight of the snow already there. I have a snow rake but I haven't used it before---I'd better figure that out pretty quick! I rescheduled an appointment from last Tuesday morning (the day of the blizzard) to next Monday morning, so I hope I don't have to reschedule again!
