Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!! Yippee!!! :dance:



We got some rainy/icky stuff early this morning - driveway was slick, but by the time I came to work, it was warmed up enough (36) that the roads were mostly just wet - a little slick in spots, but ok! Now it's just cloudy & they are saying 40º by early afternoon with rain moving in - then dropping temps & rain turning to snow. Guess we'll find out! :smile:



Gracie goes to the beauty parlor at lunch. She's getting ready to go on vacation! :grin:

Dad has his appointment with the surgeon this afternoon, so hopefully they don't have any issues getting there - my sister is taking them. Hoping & praying for some good news for him! xx

Good morning mmc! I had bad allergies last night (stuffed head)so I took some Benadryl and I can barely hold my eyes open today, and I really can't be like that with a 2 and 3 year old running wild this morning. It's a rather warm 38F here today suppose to get up into the upper 40's, with rain coming in a little later on. I just popped some buttermilk biscuits into the oven(Pillsbury) hehe I wish I could make buttermilk biscuits from scratch! Hope everyone is having a great Thursday morning!

Happy Thursday!



Back in the office after a longer-than-usual commute---got stuck behind an accident. Roads are nearly clear, but people just won't drive carefully!



COLD---it was -1F when I left this morning. There's talk of a bit of snow tomorrow, and a possible larger storm Sunday night. I'll be keeping my eye on that one. The radio is advising people to get the snow off their roof before more snow or rain comes along to add to the weight of the snow already there. I have a snow rake but I haven't used it before---I'd better figure that out pretty quick! I rescheduled an appointment from last Tuesday morning (the day of the blizzard) to next Monday morning, so I hope I don't have to reschedule again!

Sounds like I'm sending you my weather, MerryCarey! We're to get 2-4 inches tonight, but we'll see. It started here a little bit ago. We have at least an inch fresh out there. We're to go a storm Sunday too.

Hey Sugar! Thanks! well I think it finally wore off, but wow it was an off brand and sometimes those have weird fillers in them that can be even worse than drowsiness, it also made me nervous and I have never had that happen before! Glad it's over! I hope you have a great afternoon as well!:hi:

Yes it is!!! Now they are talking 6 inches of snow Sunday night!! Boo!!!! We have appointments first thing monday morning. I don't want to deal with that!!!

Good afternoon buddies! I just got into work and today I am having post Christmas blues for really the first time this season! This year me and brandi were working so hard by the time we got off for the holidays it seemed they were almost already over. That has made me vow here and now that from October 1st through jan 2nd, to stop everyday for an hour and just listen to some Holiday music,(in october maybe some Halloween music) I count Halloween as one of our favorite holidays too, it's like the kickoff of the season! And now I have little ones it's really fun towatch them enjoy it!
I looked at the national forecast for weather and we are in a mini spring period..no snow,it's so depressing! There is more snow forecast for the mid-atlantic region than the mountains of Utah...it's crazy I tell ya! we are having highs in the mid 50
s lows around 35F...mother nature does what she wants, my wife thinks its hilarious I try to argue with mother nature like I have a chance to dictate what the weather should or should not do! I guess it is funny.
Well I hope everyone has a great evening I will try to hang out here as much as I can! TTYL!

Glad the side effects have worn off. I had that happen with Ambien - they gave to me to sleep when I was in the hospital in early labor and I'll never take it again. I felt in panic and just off the wall the whole time. I just always take Tylenol PM now - that's extreme enough for me!! Lol

I think having my kids really keeps my spirits lifted, as far as Christmas goes - seeing Christmas through their eyes is so special and something you'll never forget. These next couple Christmases with the boys will be amazing for you!!!

Good evening, friends! Not much going on here. We're supposed to get some more snow tonight. The news is saying 2-4 inches. I guess we'll see. We have at least 1 inch out there now and it's supposed to snow on and off into tomorrow morning. I'm sure there will be a delay!
