Christmas Countdown - 2015

All man....I went outside to go get the mail down at the bottom of the drive, and I busted my butt halfway down the hill. I got to the mailbox, started back up the hill and fell again... I made it up to the driveway pad, opened up the garage and started salting. I got one 40lb bag on the driveway and was about halfway thru the second when I slipped and landed on my right knee, cutting it... Darn BLACK ICE!!!!!

My back hurts, my wrist hurts and my knee hurts! I'm going to go soak in a hot tub for a bit!!!!

I hope the salt does its work so you won't suffer any more falls. Be careful out there.

Good morning! My the bed felt extra comfortable this morning (more than usual), so I decided that I feel sick (not literally, but of work) and so I called out this morning sick....

I think that I'm just going to just hang around the house here today and do some paperwork, continue working in the basement and then maybe go to the dump later on to get rid of some of my construction debris.

We are expecting freezing rain, sleet & snow throughout the day. As of right now the schools have a two hour delay. My youngest has a class later this evening, I'm hoping that will just be cancelled. We'll see what happens. I don't have too much going on otherwise, I just plan on working on some chores around the house. I hope everyone keeps warm and stays safe in the wintry weather. Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Ugh I am back at home and work, I could not really afford to miss much more time, my brother is still in the hospital and as far as I know, they don't know anything, my bro tries to keep a lot from me, but what he does not realize is that I worry more that way!!!! I know something is wrong, and I have for along time,(at least 2 years this past Christmas he has looked sick) so I say as far as I know because well that is all I know.lol sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying! Okay I hope everyone has had a good start to the work week, it has been spring like here, this morning our low was 55F highs around 65F just crazy crazy weather we are having, but I am still holding out hope for one last snow storm! have a great day everyone1

I found a trailer for a movie from focus on the family that will be showing in theaters on March 4 and 5.
This one really touched my heart because my sisters daughter is one of these children, abandoned on the streets of Seoul, South Korea.

Good morning, friends! Both the kids are at school, so DH and I are going to head out and look at buying DS a new bedroom suite. He currently is in a toddler bed and he is starting to outgrow that. We're going to get him a "big boy" bed as he calls it. He's very excited. [emoji4]

Just relaxing watching those flaky things fall, nothing much really else going on. I haven't checked how much we have got so far.
I will be making a sirloin spoon roast for dinner, mashed red potatoes, mushroom gravy. making the best of a snow day.

Good early evening! I got all of my running done and also made a trip to stop in and spend some time with my grandfather today for about an hour while I was in the next county.

I even stopped by a fireplace store and ordered a blower for that propane gas fireplace that's in the house. I'm going to run electric to it from the basement and then up into the fireplace box, Install the blower and instant (extra) heat via.... a click of a button.... (It's never that easy, but it sure does sound good).

They have just issued a winter weather advisory for my area because that storm is getting stronger that is going to pound New England tonight, and it's pushing some moisture and colder air to my neck of the woods. But, of course, It's supposed to be ice, sleet and freezing rain again, with maybe a topping of snow... It's a winter dessert~

The MBTA (public transportation) is shutting down at 7 p.m. and will not operate tomorrow. They only announced it an hour or so ago, and I'm watching the news as they're talking to people who went in to work today and are scrambling to get out of Boston before the shutdown begins. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I'm glad Mr. wasn't working today. Schools have had so many snow days that kids may be going to school until the end of June. Over SIX FEET of snow in Boston in the past three weeks, and even more in some areas.

That is unbelievable. Stay safe, friend.

my goodness everyone in the northeast and Mid-atlantic states must be pulling their hair out over this winter storm...it looks like the mets. got the long range forecasts almost right back in late summer and fall they were predicting the mid atlantic and southeast would get above 200% of normal snowfall, well that is almost right, I bet boston and other east coast cities will come out like that. Mean while the poor southeast and mid-atl ski resorts are having to make 100% snow..I think Beech MTN has received 20 inches so far this year, when they should received about 70 thus far. oh well that just goes to show we have a long way to go in science, I don't know if we will ever know with 100% certainty what the weather will do a week or a month from now.
Well I am at work, and not much going on, we are moving into the mid month and not much at all going on here, everyone is back from being sick and vacation so we have all 10 of us here in the tower so that is good, I think all but 8 states are still in the epidemic status for the flu. O did anyone watch the grammy's? brandi is into that stuff me not so much, but I got to hear all about from here.lol well have a good night everyone I will try to drop in from time to time, and thanks everyone for your prayers it means so much to me! I really do think of yall as my family!

Okay it's almost my lunch break time, I am going to the Wendy's on base to get a blackened chicken salad, that is my new favorite healthy eating item. In case I can't get on anymore tonight I wanted to tell you all to have a good night, we have almost made it through a Monday! That is always a good thing. I bet when the east warms up, will be when the jet stream allows for us in the west a good storm...that is how December was, and that is how we ended up with a snowy Christmas!
