Good afternoon MMC! Took me awhile to catch up today. It was crazy in the office this morning! As I mentioned above, Dad is doing pretty well, so that's a good thing! My slumber party went well! I feel kind of bad leaving on vacation, but 1 good thing - my sis that is vacationing in Florida will be coming home the day before I leave, so she will be a fresh face for Dad!

Good Afternoon, Holiday!!!! I'm glad to hear that dad was able to get up and walk some!!! I hope he continues to get stronger as the days go on!!!! It sounds like he will be in good hands while you are on vacation!!! I'm sure he would appreciate you sending some of that warmer air back up this way though!!!! If it had to go through Indianapolis to get there, I don't think you would find a lot of people complaining!!!

So - as I mentioned earlier, I get to work this morning & my co-worker asks me for my shredded chicken recipes. I start thinking that sounds good for supper, but I don't want to cook at this point b/c I don't want leftovers since we're leaving! Then HMG posts on here she's making shredded BBQ Chicken for supper, THEN I get to Mom & Dads at lunch & my sister is there & she says "I just had a shredded chicken from the carry out - have you ever had one of those? It was REALLY good!" I couldn't take it anymore. I went home & threw some chicken breast, & cream of soups in the crock pot. We'll have it for supper, freeze a little & I'll bring the rest to Mom & Dads! cheesy

That does sound good!!! I should have bought some chicken at the grocery store!!

Okay, my mom just turned the TV over to NBC so she could watch Dr. Phil. Ellen wasn't quite over yet so we caught the very ending where she told the audience that she was bringing them all back for one of her 12 days of Christmas give away shows. Then Andy Williams, It's the most wonderful time of the year, started playing. It was a great little Christmassy moment and put a smile on my face. (That will soon be knocked off as I bang my head on the wall while listening to Dr. Phil.)

My chihuahua, Niles, just showed me some early Valentine's Day love. He was eating, got full, looked up at me wagging his tail and look what he left on his plate! I couldn't believe it! He's quite the artist. I wonder if he will leave the Mona Lisa on his plate next time? cheesy

Good morning!
Just a quick hello, I have work this morning. I want to get some laundry started before I leave and get dinner going in the crock pot. I'm making a new shredded BBQ chicken recipe, hope it turns out good. I also need to pack lunches and cook breakfast.
Sophia has an appointment at the vet this afternoon so I probably won't be back on here until later this evening. Rosie is scheduled to be spayed next week and I want to ask the doctor if Sophia can go at the same time. I thought it would be a good idea if they could recover together. Sophia is a little bit younger though so I'll see what the doctor has to say.

Extreme cold warning out here, going down to -30c (-22f) tonight, furnace working over time !

Work this morning then have to do some shopping this afternoon. Mom coming home tomorrow so I will be in Toronto to pick her up.

I should have looked at the weather forecast before posting this morning..stop the press! We are expecting one inch of snow Monday! The high says 39F but one inch of snow accum expected, the low that night is 28F so it will stick at least through the night, I will worry about the technical stuff later, the fact it is actually suppose to snow one inch has to be the best news ever, it's been at least one month since we have had any snow sticking or not! and I can't believe it is already thursday too!!!!

Sure enough, Carl leaped through the huge paper valentine.
I expected that.
What I DIDN'T expect was seeing Binger on his back holding a cup of coffee.
Didn't spill a drop.
(But then, Bing would rather spill blood than coffee.)


Warmer yesterday and dry. A repeat is expected for today before we turn cold again -- REALLY cold -- with the low possibly down to 11 by Sunday.
For now, we have commenced the day at 34 degrees here in the capital city.

I still got the guilt text, that they were short handed, and if I can force myself to come in, they'd really appreciate it....?!

That ticked me off. I have never called in sick for my doctor-and they call me out? Half the office is out. And I was there Tuesday holding down the fort in complete chaos, while no one else was there.

That was my response...about being there Tuesday, miserable, even though I wanted to go home. But I didn't. Now I'm much worse.

The nerve!

That would really upset me too. You've been very hardworking for them and as you said never call off. They need to understand, when you're sick, you have to take care of yourself. That's a shame. Try to not let it bother you though.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been really busy around here with the boss out. Most folks get to kick back when he's out, but I have to kick it in high gear.

I went with Nancy to see her mom last night. Mrs. Hilda is just about at the end of her rope with living in a hospital. Bless her heart, she was getting upset when it was time for us to leave. We're now talking about bringing her home early, and taking her back to physical therapy every day. It'll be hard to get the logistics going, but she's been away long enough. We'll see how it turns out.

Sorry to hear Mrs. Hilda has been having a rough time with you guys leaving. I'm sure it's hard for her, knowing that it's so close for her to come home, and she probably just wants to be with you guys. Praying for you guys, whatever you decide!

Happy Milestone Day, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with a high of 18 degree's. Brr!!!! We are getting some light snow showers too. No real accumulation expected though. It's just making the roads slick. I may run to the grocery store later today but I may also just wait until this weekend when I go out to my sister's house. Other than that, It's just going to be doing more stuff around the house. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Good evening, buddy! It's cold here too! It's 16F right now and when Ieave from work in the am, it's supposed to only be 0F, with wind chills of -15 to -20F. Thank goodness the kids don't have school tomorrow, just daycare, because they would have a delay probably.
