Well, cold weather has established residence and is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
It is 23 degrees right now and is supposed to remain below freezing all day.
Frozen precip should begin late this afternoon and continue to tomorrow morning, with single digit lows a day or two later.
(Hey. I'm ready to move back to Florida!)

Kinda funny but I am sure a lot of people who chose to watch movies on Valentine's Day were geared more for the romantic stuff. My choice - Wayne and I were watching space exploration movies - Moonshot (Apollo 11 landing) and Apollo 13. Well, the ending is romantic as they reunited with their wives when they got back to earth! :!!

Good morning!
Just had the dogs out back, we are currently at 3 degrees. The dogs hate this cold weather. I heard on the news this morning that this has been the coldest February we've had in twenty years. We are expecting more snow over night, hopefully its not too much. I have to have Sophia & Rosie at the vet bright and early tomorrow. I have off from work this week, the schools are closed for winter recess. My girls still have classes though so it will be a typical week here. I have to complete ten more of those online courses for my job so I plan on getting that done by the end of the week. My husband and I will be driving in to the city later to pick up my daughter, we'll be heading out around noon. I'm hoping they'll be less traffic today since it's Presidents Day. Fingers crossed. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

It was a very warm weekend, we had our cookout on Saturday and soaked up some sun. Now the temps are down in the 30's with some snow predicted.

I hope all of you getting the rough winter weather are doing okay!

WooHoo!!! We are finally getting a decent snow!!! It is about 2 months late, but I'll take it. As with anything, one can see the opportunity and beauty,,, or see a problem and hassle. My local news channels see the latter.

In preparation, I made 2.5 gallons of soup last night (because that is how big the pot is!).

We have only received about 2-3 inches so far. We're supposed to get 10-12. I hope everyone is enjoying their day/month/year so far.

We watched an old romantic comedy called "Smartest Girl in Town," with Ann Sothern. (On VHS, no less!) We have a ton of movies, but not many romances, for some reason. I should have pulled out "You've Got Mail."

Happily, the office has called off the work I was supposed to get today (the stuff isn't even written yet, apparently), and I get a holiday after all. But I've been told to expect a long day tomorrow. It's another good day to huddle in front of the TV with hot beverages! Mr. is working right now, going over proofreading comments over the phone to a client.

Akin to Christmasstar, we currently have 3 degrees F here, with a wind chill of -23. Way too cold for my liking! It should be about zero when I head out to work tomorrow.

I overslept I overslept! I was suppose to get up at 3am to wash my sheets and pillowcases to take to the cabin, I like them to smell just out of the dryer, I do have others that are folded in the closet but they don't smell just out of the dryer you know!? So we are suppose to leave in 50 minutes andthey are just now in the washing machine! I feel like that segment on home alone where they are all rushing around because they overslept. I will talk to you (hopefully) when I arrive later on today in Wyoming!

Hope they don't take to long to dry!!! Stay safe on the roads, Dawg!!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's a rather cold morning here with a temp of 8 degree's and a wind chill of -5. Brr!!!! It's also snowing out there. We are right on the northern edge of the storm so we should only get about an inch. Nothing to much going on here again today. Just plan to stay home and work around the apartment. My sister has already been calling and bugging me about what kind of tires she needs for her durango so she can call and make an appointment somewhere this weekend to get new ones. So I expect that to continue for awhile too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Now Wayne loves, You Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. He has both of those on DVD even before we met. At the time I never saw, You Got Mail, and told him I never cared for Sleepless in Seattle so I figured I wouldn't like the other one either. Well, he got me to watch, You Got Mail, and I love it! That's a switch, a man into Romantic Comedies??? cheesy I'm sure there are others that like them too but not too common.

A marathon of, The Three Stooges, on IFC today! My dad called to tell me it's on so I turned it on for the grandkids. Immediately they said, "I don't like it"! I asked why, they said, "It's black and white". I told them they need to appreciate nostalgia. That didn't last long, now they can't pull away from the TV and laughing! :lol:

I just mentioned that Wayne likes Sleepless in Seattle (I don't care much for) and he is NOT a fan of The Three Stooges (I am a big fan of!) What's going on here? He watches the lovey dovey stuff and I like The Three Stooges! Ha ha!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

All this talk of Valentine's Day doings has me feeling a little guilty about our weekend. Nancy went to a nephew's birthday party Saturday, then spent Saturday night with her mom. I worked on the Camaro. We did get some things for the kids, but no celebration for the two of us. Maybe next year!

This old cold is still hanging on. People hear me talk in that deep voice you get with a cold and they back away LOL.

Rooms To Go is delivering our new couch and loveseat on Wednesday, and I found a good home where our old furniture is needed. My plan was to move the old furniture to its new home on Tuesday evening in anticipation of a Wednesday morning delivery of the new stuff. But, it's supposed to rain Tuesday, so I have to take the old furniture today, instead. That means we're on bean bags and dining room chairs for two nights!
