Thanks, Buddy!!!! Just heard back from the doctors and it was in range. So keeping meds the same.

Thanks!! Will do!!!

20 degrees & icy. Power has been out for around 19 hours because of ice on lines. No electric, phone, cable. We didn't go to work yesterday because there were trees down on both ends of our road. Today we can get out one end of the road, so it's back to work. School is out the rest of the week. It's supposed to get down to single digits the next two nights.

A tree fell on our garage in the middle of the night Mon/Tues, but everything seems to be okay. DH had to cut the tree down to be able to get out of his side of the garage. Heating water on wood stove to get a bath. Cooking on propane stove on the back deck. Living like Laura Ingalls; DD wanted to know what was so good about the good old days...DH & I agreed with her! We are glad to have a wood stove though! DD & I were in bed by 7:30 last night because there was nothing to do & it was dark.

Update on Grandmother: She's still in the hospital, don't know when she'll get to go home. This is something that will never totally go away. She is doing better physically through. There was no infection in her kidney when they changed the stint, so they are just monitoring the bowel obstruction. The doctors just walk in everyday & shake their heads that she's still plugging away! She'll be 91 in less than two weeks. At this rate, she might make it to 100...

I hope you get electricity back soon!!!! Glad that nothing got damaged by the falling tree. Stay safe!!

Continuing to keep your grandmother in my prayers.

Thanks, Buddy!!!

Okay, I lied earlier when I said that I wasn't going anywhere. Mom was due for her blood test and I was going to wait until Friday when it was nicer outside to take her but she wanted to go today. So I ran her to the hospital and helped her in because she has been pretty shaky the last couple of days. The test didn't take any time and then she wanted to go to Walmart where she tried to run me over with the electric cart. By the time we headed home, the wind had picked up and the roads were even worse than they were this morning with all of the snow blowing across them. So now I'll definitely be staying home.

I've been worrying on here about Lulu, and I wasn't even thinking about anyone else's worries. I hope your mom's tests give good results.

Watch out for those electric carts! I've had to dodge a couple at this Walmart, too. Maybe your mom didn't gun the motor after you on purpose.

Wow, I didn't know you guys were expecting that much bad weather in TN! I haven't heard too much about ice on the NC side. I hope things improve quickly for you guys. Praying for your grandmother and your family!

The vet says Lulu did well in surgery, but her bladder was very irritated, so she wants to keep her till Friday. She said I couldn't visit until tomorrow.

At least the surgery went good. Thanks for the prayers!

I'm so glad to hear that Lulu's surgery went well. Continued prayers for all of you.

I hope you feel better, HMG!!!! Keeping Sophia and Rosie in my thoughts!

Jim sent me out for more parts for the Camaro, mostly bolts & gaskets this time.

He showed me the braided steel fuel lines that are going on the Holley Street Avenger 750 carburetor, and the in-line Holley fuel filter. Wow! He also found a NOS nitrous oxide injection plate that he had put away. He's threatening to install that, too! He says that'll give me a 150hp boost. EEK!

Hey guys! I really feel blah...I have chronic pancreatitis when I overeat and on vacation of course I overate this morning, now I am vomiting and have cramps, only thing that helps is to stop eating and let everything digest and then restart your digestive tract with soft foods. I should be better by morning, so I am going to go to bed and wish everyone a goodnight here! talk to you all tomorrow!

Hope you're feeling better!

I wish you were our neighbor. We'd be lost if we had to deal with those household repairs!

Hope you get your refund!

I wish I was your neighbor as well... I have a strong feeling that we would get along quite well. As nice and sweet of a person that you are, I would be there in a pinch to help you and your family out~

I could finally meet someone, who has the skill and talent to repair those crocheted blankets that I have. And you will have someone that will blow away all that snow for you!

PS....I got that refund! Correction the wife has the refund.......

Hello everyone. Crazy week!

My two year old nephew broke his wrist tonight at his little gymnastics class. He is in the hospital and it looks like they will do surgery. Please pray!

My car went out and I found out yesterday it would cost $2,500 to fix! It's not worth that, so today I got a new car.

Tomorrow we leave for Texas!

Yep...lots going on. I hope you all have a great week!

Prayers for your nephew and hoping the surgery goes well!

Enjoy the new car!!!

Have a great time on vacation and have a safe trip!

Good evening. I ended up having to go to a wake tonight, my friends mother passed away. I just found out this afternoon. I got a little bit frazzled because I picked Sophia & Rosie up from the vet earlier. I really didn't want to leave them since they just had the surgery but my girls stayed with them. They're doing alright I guess. They're still groggy so I'll see how they are tomorrow. The recovery period is going to be at least 10 days.
I hope everyone is well and had a nice day. I'll see you in the morning.
Hugs & prayers ~
Goodnight.

Good Morning, from our frozen little portion of the MMC nation.

More about that presently.

First, let's look at our mid-week figures:
Days to the Season: 268
Days to Christmas Day: 310

And just look -- TOMORROW will see us down to single digits to the 300-day Christmas Day Window and the commencement of a double-200's count sequence.
(Hard to believe we are this far along, n'est-ce pas?)

Yes, we had a hard blanket of snow/sleet mix on the ground all day yesterday.
Not easy to remove from the cars.
It should rise above freezing today which will help but that's it. We then plunge into single digits and remain below freezing for at least the next couple of days.
We are at 23 degrees here, right now.
BRR....... (Well, you get the idea.)

Well, 'tis 'Pines Day once again.
Carl has taken note of the weather and tonight's theme is "Snow Foolin'!"
(Oh, oh! I sense pranks, as only Carl can pull them.)
And I've heard a snowball fight contest is in the works.
That camel never gives up, does he? (Fortunately!)
See you there.

And have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Happy Pines Day, Crown!

Snow-in-Texas is still suffering from a cold but he says he don't feel that bad. Thanks to all for the well wishes to him!

I did not get a chance to catch up on all post but wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone. Just sitting here snuggled with the doggie and having some coffee. Got to get moving soon and get some chores done.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

Hope SIT continues to feel better!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a downright cold day here with our high of 12 degree's for the day having already been reached. The sun is shining right now but soon the winds are going to pick up and snow is going to move back in. Not a whole lot of accumulation expected but the wind chills are going to drop from the -4 that they are now down into the -20 range. Yuck!!! They will be even worse tomorrow though. Double yuck!!! Needless to say, I plan to stay inside and warm. So it will be another day of just finding stuff around here to do. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good evening, friend! Hope you're keeping busy and warm! Hope you're having a nice day too!

Good morning,

Heading out the door for the job in a couple of minutes, it's Ash Wednesday so I am expecting a big run on fish.

I woke up this morning to the temps outside at -14*f without windchill. Brrrrrrrr!!!!

I hope you all have a great day.

See you all tonight!

Hope work goes well!

Well folks, another day is practically behind us already. Today, it was tax day for me, glad that is over and out of the way, but it turned out pretty good, refund checks, will be forthcoming!!!! yea baby!!!

We are supposed to have a few snow squalls pass through this area tonight and leave anywhere from 1-2 inches of snow behind... And my goodness, they are talking about on TV, that the temperature on Friday is like only supposed to be like -6 degrees.....What the??? Did the North Pole shift on it's axis? Got out into the van this morning to go to work and the temperature said 0 degrees, ummm, just a tad bit chilly this morning.

I do not believe that we will be getting into a lot tonight, going to work in the bathroom some, but more like, me moving the fixture around and asking Lisa, how does this look, how does that look and if I move it here, how does this look; sort of thing tonight if you get the point!

Good Morning MMC!!
I am feeling so much better this morning, staying home that extra day was so worth it.

made some homemade bread this morning in the bread machine, it was a quick bread and not real happy with how it turned out. I think next time I will just bake the regular stuff.

Off to work at noon and them taking my daughter shopping when I am done at 4.

Hope you all have a great day!

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Hope work went well today and hope you guys are having a fun time shopping!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I just left Lulu at the vet's office. I HATE that. She was shivering with fright and crying, like she always does when we go there. Then I left her. Ugh. They said they would call me after the surgery. They couldn't tell me when it would start, though. Bless her heart!

On top of that, our new furniture is being delivered this afternoon. I won't even be able to enjoy it for worrying about Lulu. :-(

they said she would probably go home Friday, but I hope we can get her tomorrow. We'll see.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Thinking of you, Brad! I know how hard it must be on you! Lots of (((hugs)))

Praying that the surgery went well for LuLu and that she has a speedy recovery!

Hope you love the new furniture!
