Christmas Countdown - 2015

Long time, no see! Did everybody survive "Snowmageddon 2015"? We got a week out of school a couple of week ago, but we didn't get any snow. ALL ICE.



We went to the baby doctor on Friday. Everything looks good with the new little one. She is all set to arrive in June. Three more months.....three more months.



We actually had a pretty long conversation about Christmas today. We spent time just talking about this Christmas and how much more there was to do with two little ones. We are going to start spending some time looking at different things before too long. Personally, I am really looking forward to the Elf on the Shelf. That will be a lot of fun.



Well, I'm off. There has been a lot that has happened here in the past few weeks and I've got a lot of catching up to do. See y'all in a bit.

Good to see you, Coach! So glad to hear Doc is doing well and baby #2 is doing well also! June will be here before you know! So exciting!!!

That's exciting too to be planning Christmas - as I told you before, the Elf on the Shelf is sooo much fun! You are going to love it!

Another 4-8 inches expected tomorrow night, it doesn't seem to want to stop snowing around here.



Work was okay, I was expecting it to be busier but it was quite tame for a Saturday.

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!
Not too much going on here today. Just having a cup of coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. Waiting for my oldest to wake up, she doesn't have work until 1:00 so she's sleeping in. I hope she feels a little bit better today. I'm going to make a Target run this morning and I plan on visiting my parents this afternoon. That's about it for me.
Thinking about Gabulldawg, hope to hear from him soon.

Still the relentless cold. Not out of the 30's all day yesterday and more of the same predicted for today, with sleet or freezing rain.
(Uncle! Uncle! I give up!)
We have started off at another chilly 31 degrees here in the capital city with a light rain falling and surfaces getting slicker by the hour. Already numerous reports of traffic accidents.
And so it goes....


Oh, well. It's Sunday and the second half of our weekend has begun.

Gosh, both already in the 300's...March is already here...amazing. Time goes by so fast! The older I get, the faster it goes (I swear my mother just teleported herself in my body and typed those words...I never thought I would say them).



On tap for today is a little bit of work and planning for this week. Might watch a little of the race. Some housework. Of course, playing with the Bambina....

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been a cold, yucky weekend here in Bellville. One of the neighbors had an outdoor wedding in the pecan orchard across the road from my house yesterday. Who plans an outdoor wedding...in February!...in a pecan orchard that is completely devoid of green? They spent a LOT of time wrapping the bare trees with Christmas lights (which, of course, I enjoyed immeasurably), and stringing incandescent lights between the trees. It was absolutely beautiful! But no one could enjoy it because of the drizzling rain and 40° temperature. Too bad.

It's strange, but the weather guy is predicting temps into the 80's next week. Time to crank up the A/C!

Jim and I got a good bit of work done on the Camaro yesterday afternoon. We properly mounted the carb, hooked up some braided stainless steel fuel lines to it, and installed an in-line fuel pressure gauge at the carb. We also got the water pump ready to install with the correct chrome pulley this time, and we're about ready to put an alternator on and crank it!

Welcome to March, MMC!!!!!! It's definitely starting off with a bang here!!! We are sitting around 7.5 inches right now with another hour or so until the first break in the snow gets here. Then more snow this afternoon will bring another 1 to 2 inches. So it looks like we will double our snow total for the year today. My plan for today involves shoveling and watching the race. Hopefully I can get the first round of shoveling done before the race starts. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

well my plans have changed for today, I am now going in to work for 4 hours. Oh well, it is only from 11 to 3 so not to bad. The extra hours will be nice.
