Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good afternoon, I'm home, called out sick, I'm not sick, just in a lot of pain this morning where it is shooting down my neck and also up into my ear.

That darn root canal. The doc did tell me that when this is done to the same tooth twice, it's usually more painful the second time around. He was right. I propped my self up last night to sleep on my back, but sometime during the night, I rolled over on my side and I awoke at 4am in pain... I got up, took a pain pill and tried to fall back asleep. I was rolling around, in and out for awhile. Woke up at 930 in pain again and I took another pain pill an hour ago. It's starting to subside a bit, but it's still there....

I'm not a sissy or anything, but man, this thing just plain outright is painful... Vicki and I are home here in front of the fireplace, in our pj's, drinking coffee and talking about our war wounds...She showed me the needle marks in her belly that they gave her to prevent blood clots...poor thing... I showed her the needle marks in my mouth from all the shots I got in there..... Then we were both talking about how much getting an IV in the top of your hand stinks, feels weird and that we don't like it.....

I'm glad you have each other to lean on, and commiserate with!

Glad that the pain is starting to subside some. Take care & rest up today.

Shheeezzz, I just read some posts, looked at fox news and saw for the first time all of the bad weather and tornados....My god, those poor people in Illinois and the other states....I just checked the radar and the same front will be here in about an hour but the storms are no where's near as intense and when they finish crossing the Appalachian mountains, they will be knocked down even further...

My prayers and thoughts are with everyone effected by these deadly storms....

Thanks Holiday...The fire place feels really good today. It's sooo yucky looking outside, damp, dreary, coldish... And those bad storms will be here in about an hour, so fireplace and pj's day it is...! I just looked out back, and that doe is back, she's nibbling on the green buds starting to come out on the bushes and the fresh green grass...

I will be closing up shop & heading home soon! Actually, I will be heading home, then to Moms to meet the appraiser, then to the store cuz I still need shoes & hoes & jewelry for the wedding tomorrow....then to the lake to clean...then.... LOL

Thanks Holiday...The fire place feels really good today. It's sooo yucky looking outside, damp, dreary, coldish... And those bad storms will be here in about an hour, so fireplace and pj's day it is...! It was a really cold, windy & dreary morning here, but the sun just popped out! Just in time for me to get off work! (Thank you!) How cool that the doe is back. Will give you some scenery to look at...next to the fire! Ahhh - sounds wonderful! (minus the pain!) Stay safe in the storms!!

Of course you're not a sissy---the entire nerve path went on high alert from being breached. It'll get better. At least you and Vicki have each other's company in your misery! I think you each need a nice vanilla milk shake.

Well, those storms that were supposed to of have hit us, got tore apart while trying to cross the mountains. Just a little bit of rain out of it, that's all...
This weekend is supposed to be nice, in the 70's, but we will see, because they were about 20 degrees off the predicted high for today...

I'm trying to talk the wife into going out for dinner tonight. Although, I cannot really chew anything hard, I can at least have soup and pasta, I would think....

Friday night at last Yes!!! Love the beginning of a weekend~

Well, those storms that were supposed to of have hit us, got tore apart while trying to cross the mountains. Just a little bit of rain out of it, that's all...
This weekend is supposed to be nice, in the 70's, but we will see, because they were about 20 degrees off the predicted high for today...

I'm trying to talk the wife into going out for dinner tonight. Although, I cannot really chew anything hard, I can at least have soup and pasta, I would think....

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

I wasn't able to work on the Camaro again yesterday, for having to run errands all evening. Apparently, the Lord doesn't want me to crank it this week. Maybe He'll let me crank it next week!

The kids are going to Buffalo Hot Wings tonight with their church group, so it'll be a good evening to take advantage of the two free PPV movies that Dish Network has offered. I hope I can talk her into watching Interstellar. :wink:

Then Jacob's band has a gig tomorrow, and Elizabeth's ballet class has an exhibition the same day.

Happy Friday!
I'm having my coffee and working on a menu plan and grocery list right now. Always a struggle to figure out what to cook for dinner. I got my blood work results from my physical and for the first time ever my cholesterol is slightly elevated. They said it's nothing to worry about but I should start being mindful of the choices I make. I need to lose a few pounds anyway so I'm going to try and cut some garbage out. Darn it. We'll see how it goes, lol. Not a whole lot going on today. I just need to run to the butcher and then I'll be working on some chores around the house. More showers and storms passing through today. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
