Good Morning, MMC!!! It's going to be a hot one here today with a high of 81 degrees!!! Boo!! LOL!!! Today is my niece's birthday. She called me at 7:30 this morning and had to talk for a half hour while on the way to Hardees for breakfast. Then she had to call back and talk on the way to Walgreens and while she walked around the store. She is a little wound up. LOL!! We will be headed out after lunch to do gifts and cake. I have a few other errands to run while out that way too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

I have found and received one of the coolest catalogs that I have ever ordered. It's from the place called Cumberland General Store. They are located in Georgia and in this catalog, they have all these things in there that you can purchase from like days long gone. I mean old fashioned tools, cooking, home goods, outdoor products, etc... Their link is here:

I ordered a catalog for like 7.00 dollars and it's like over an inch thick. I mean it is really wild just to read thru it, look at the pictures alone. I look thru it and so many times I think wow, you can still buy this, I haven't seen that made since like the 1800's......

Good Morning Made! thanks. I love to get out there, turn on some music and just be in my own little world for a little while. come back latter on and have that ode-o-man smell up, on thee. It's an odor of a mix of grease, gasoline, tools, sweat, dirt.... I call it ode of Tim the Toolman...LOL!!!

The women go wild for that!!!!!:lol:

Lol!!! That never worked for me when I worked for freight liner. Maybe diesel fuel doesn't have the same effect.

I do some things to annoy my wife for fun, she is very particular about her travel mugs lid and mug colors matching. I will take the green lid and put it on the pink mug and vice versa, it drives her nuts but I get a chuckle out of it.

Found out at after my last post, that I had to go pick up my youngest at work, then drive to an ATM for her and then turn around and drive her back to school....I'm tired, going to go to bed soon. But first, my tummy was growling so I'm munching on some pretzels dipped in The laughing cow, creamy swiss light cheese. I suppose we could call that a midnight snack, right?

Goodnight my friends....

That made me flash back to the swiss cheese logs rolled in chopped nuts that I used to buy around holiday time … mmm … I could go for some "Vache qui rit" myself!

Good morning, Weekend Welcomers!

Our favourite time of the week has arrived. It is a far cry from our favourite time of the year, but it will do… for now!

As you may know, Crown is taking a rare/much-deserved vacation. I have the privilege of leading the countdown until Crown returns next weekend. Where will the count be upon Crown’s return? Well, we’ll have to wait and see. For now, let’s get caught up with today’s count.

Days to the Season: 209
Days to Christmas Day: 251

Look at that… only eight days until we reach the 1/3 to Christmas Day milestone. We are also now SINGLE DIGITS away from the 200-day to the Christmas Season marker. Yes, our favourite time of the year will dip into the 100s in barely more than a week. Indeed, it will make us feel that much closer.

The weather in Canada’s Capital was beautiful for much of the week. We even reached the low 20s/high 60s! The weekend will be a little cooler, unfortunately. We are currently sitting at a cool 7c/45f.

Kim and I will be out the door shortly. We have a few hours of running around and then hopefully an actual run shortly after we return home. It shall be a busy day.

Even if it is not busy, I hope your Saturday is splendid!

Good Morning. And by looking outside, the sun is shining, and it appears to be a very beautiful start to the weekend.

I'm just getting up, the wife is working all weekend, waiting on the coffee to finish brewing. So, my plans are to spend the day today outside, in the garage, switching the tractor around from winter mode to summer mode, pull out and run the generator, get that ready for the seasonal change and then maybe just piddle around out there, working on the equipment and such. It's too nice of a day to be working in the basement. I may though, run over to Home Depot and get some lumber for the basement framing that I plan to start either tomorrow or this coming week.

I see that Brent has the Days of the season down to 209, wow, soon we will be in the 100's. Isn't that just amazing, I love it!!!
