So, he calls and gives me the list;
Needs a new radiator, new radiator hoses, new front and rear brakes, new plugs, coils, wires, stabilizers in the front of the van, exhaust system needs welding work and clamps, needs new spare tire, new belts, etc.... for a total of around 1500.00....Nice! So much for a quick once over, huh?

But, at least I know it will be safe and I'll have a piece of mind driving it, but wow is my wallet a lot lighter.... Why do things cost so much money?

That's a bummer!! I'm glad they caught it all before the trip though so you won't have any problems!!

Well the people getting the raw materials have to make a living. Then the people delivering them. The people who turn the raw materials into actual usable products. The people who delivers those materials to the parts plants. The people there who make the parts. The people who deliver those parts to the warehouse. The people who sort them there. The people who pick them up and take them to the parts company warehouse. The people who sort them there. The driver that delivers them to the parts store. The person at the parts store who puts them up. The guy at the parts store who takes the order from the service advisor at the shop. The driver at the parts store who picks that part off the shelf and delivers it to the shop. Then finally the mechanic. Now add in all of the gas and the overhead for all of those companies and all of the bosses and the bosses, bosses and it adds up pretty quick. LOL!!!! (We use to use that spill when people complained at AutoZone)

I didn't think I had much going on last night but it turned into a busy night! Got home from work & mowed the lawn, then I went to the grocery store - the carry out girl put the groceries on the back seat & I was going to move them to the floor so they didn't blow around so much in the convertible. I go to grab a bag & it has blueberry Kashi cereal in it! I didn't buy that. I check my receipt & I didn't pay for that. So I brought it back into the store & told them someone may be coming back for that. I get home, unload groceries & there are 3 Dannon Fruit on the bottom blueberry yogurts in there too! I guess whoever was in front of me likes blueberries! cheesy Then I planted a flower in my angel statue/flower pot, re-planted a house plant & took off on a short bike ride before it got dark. Our neighbor walked over & we chatted for a little while! Then I made some BBQ beef for a friend of mine who is going through a rough time & stuck that in the freezer. Next time I see her I'll give that too her & she can just throw it in her crock pot. Should be plenty for her, hubby & 5 kids! Lol! Then I made up 3 salads to use up that lettuce leftover from the wedding before it goes bad! I gave 2 of them to my friend I walked with this morning - lunch for her & her hubby today & lunch for me & the lettuce is gone! Whew! Anyway - this nicer weather & longer days gives me more energy & I love it!!! :D

Oh - I never mentioned today...I turned on my iPhone 6 last night & it worked! The screen was blotchy, but everything worked! But as the night went on, it got worse & worse & the screen got darker until you couldn't see it anymore. Ahhhhhhhh! :sad:
