It may be almost nice by this weekend.

I think all my automation at home is working well. The pool pump cycles correctly, the garden sprinkler timer cycles correctly, and the new photocell turns the outside lights on & off correctly. Pretty soon they won't need me around the house at all. :?
I cut the grass yesterday, and it's looking pretty good! I have some stuff to take to Goodwill today, then I need to start gathering the luggage.

Good Morning MMC !!!
6 months from now we will be sharing our Christmas morning stories !!! ( well not at this time as most of us will be in the middle of it all) but sometime during the day we will tear ourselves away from our loved ones to come here and also spend time with our special Christmas loving friends here.

Today is also the last day of school, kids all over are celebrating that schools out for summer !!

Plus I only have to work for 4 hours today !!!
The excitement is abundant today !

When I get home the sourdough should be almost ready to bake and then I get to have fresh hot bread with some homemade raspberry jam that, yes I am bragging, is the best ever I have ever made.
If you doubt this come on over and share some with me over a cup of tea or coffee.

Good Morning. I have an opportunity for about 5 minutes to post a well wishes to everyone!

Been super, super busy at work for the past several weeks and as of last night, it ramped up even more. I have been working 12-16 hours a day on this project and they (the owner) bumped up the schedule and now we have to work even more to try to get this thing to a 100% submission. Whew.... I'm starting to be getting a little crispy around the edges from constantly staring at a computer for that long.... Every morning is a battle with myself to get out of bed and get back into the office.

Three to four more weeks of this and hopefully I can start living a normal life again.....

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! Hope you are all having a great day so far!

Last night I think our whole neighborhood was outside, trimming, pulling weeds, mulching - making our homes look nice for the festival! :smile: By the time my hubby got home from work I had a trash can full of weeds & trimmings for him to take away! He was thrilled. cheesy We were talking to our back yard neighbor around 10:00 last night when they started fogging for bugs at the fest! It was starting to stink so bad, we went inside! I don't like to breath that stuff in! Blah! But Jim commented that the best part about that is the wind was blowing our way so hopefully it got rid of some bugs/mosquitos at our house too! They will fog again tomorrow night!

The festivities kick off tonight with a pre-party at our house! We have invited some friends & neighbors over. It's supposed to be a nice night, though it could get cool later. Jim is having the propane tank filled today so we can fire up the patio heater if needed! Tomorrow night the pre-party is at our back yard neighbors....then Friday the festival actually begins! Such a fun week!!

The weirdest sky I ever saw was the evening just after the tornado hit, the clouds and color were just eerie. I honestly can't remember the color now, probably because we were all in shock at what had happened. I just remember the eerieness.

Did you see the picture from Fenway Park last night?

Wow!

Yes, thank you! Boston.com had an entire slideshow of dramatic orange and purple clouds around sunset. Quite a show Nature put on Tuesday evening! And earlier in the week some parts of New England were seeing the Northern Lights. (Not me, though. Darn.)

My grandmother had those exact glasses when I was growing up. The picture brings back memories.

I was thinking how pretty the pattern is on the glass. Lucky you to have seen some "in person"! You never know, someone might have them on eBay.

I love this one, on the news this morning they are talking about a group giving away 5,000 free lunches ....a meal of turkey, dressing, gravy potatoes, cranberry sauce in honor of this being 6 months till Christmas !!

Just so excited that we're 6 months away. I could use a little Christmas today! I've heard Mike at LITE 105 IR talking about making the flip to Christmas in July radio and getting prepared for that--he's playing Christmas music every Friday at midnight through Sunday at midnight!

Good evening everyone. I had a busy day. I ran a few errands, had a nice visit with my mom and I've been cleaning like crazy. I'm going room by room, getting rid of any clutter, organizing and deep cleaning. It feels good. I'm out of steam though for today so I'm going to turn in. Good evening,

Long day at work, one of my final Wednesday night shifts done.
The coach of JP's team gave us the wrong day for the game, it is tomorrow (Thurs.) not today. The whole team showed up for the game, and oops, it's tomorrow, so they had a practice instead. So I get to go to it.

I have this weekend off, I requested it off a while ago to go to a campout with the scouts for JP, but it looks like it fell through. A weekend off, woohoo!

I hope you all had a great Wednesday, and since it is after midnight.

Can't wait. I love how getting over the halfway point just makes it seem way more close than leading up to today.

I've worked two weeks straight and I'm ready for a break. Today's my last day at my main job for the week and I'll work a half-day tomorrow! Almost there!!

It's going to be another beautiful day, partly sunny with a high of 82 degrees. Not too much going on here today. I plan on doing some more cleaning but I'm going to get outside and enjoy the weather too. The girls are all off from work today so we're going to grill burgers for lunch and hang out by the pool for awhile. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
