I hope your Sunday is a good one. I'm having a nice day! We won an online auction that we were eager to win, and our winning bid was a lot less than our maximum! Yay! And I got an email from a friend I hadn't heard from in a few years.

The cactus IS beautiful. I'll try to get a picture of her when she's in bloom this winter. I call her "she" because a few years ago I planted some cuttings and gave them as gifts, so she's a mommy.

It was a nice, relaxing Sunday, thanks!

Congrats on the win - that's awesome! I bet it was wonderful to hear from your friend. That's always nice and unexpected!

hot day here and going to be an even hotter week.
Had a relaxing day, not feeling very well for most of, better now but still feeling off.
LittleCS was over doing her laundry
Getting things ready for my meeting tomorrow afternoon.
Dishes almost done, baking another batch of sourdough bread in the morning, it is the only bread we eat here now.
Was going to go for a walk but it is still a humidex of 31c outside so think I will just cuddle with the AC instead.

Good Morning MMC !

as I said earlier, it is going to be a hot one all week here. Right now it is not to bad out so the windows and doors are open letting the morning coolness in. Picked a hand full of tomatoes from my garden. Glad we still have a month of summer, since we really have not had many hot days yet. The farmers can really use this heat.
I am feeling much better this morning, took something to make me sleep and that made all the difference.
Started the bread, sourdough is a whole day project but so worth it when done.
I have some things to finish up for my TOPS meeting tonight and waiting to hear if another meeting is on for this afternoon or not.
For now I am just going to relax with a cup of tea and watch BT

Right nice here yesterday, for July in the South.
Tolerable temps, lower humidity, plenty of sun, gentle breezes and no rain.
(I could get used to this!)
Today, we have commenced activities here in the capital city at 75 degrees.

Looks like it will be a rainy Monday here as well. It's dry out there right now but they're calling for isolated thunderstorms with a high of 82 degrees.
I'm heading to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch with my family to celebrate my birthday. My parents are coming later this evening for dinner and cake. Should be a fun day!

Ok, maybe it's just me but I feel like I'm in a bit of a funk this morning and can't shake it. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I couldn't get out for my run this morning due to it raining this morning. So I had about an hour of extra sleep which instead of making me feel refreshed just made me more tired. Then I come into work with this new work assignment that just seems like it's gonna be a real pain in the duff and I soooo don't want to deal with it right now.

I'm in the midst of making a packing list of things we'll need to start gathering for our vacation in two weeks. I still have not made concrete arrangements for our dog's care while we're gone. I need to make a run to Target to return a top for my daughter and hopefully find a replacement as well as pick up toiletries and snacks for the plane. The weekend before we leave my girls will be visiting their dad so that means mum either has to have them pack just about everything they will need for the two week trip by this weekend or I have to pack up everything for the pair of them including my 17yr old while they're gone and hope for the best. UGH!!!
