I want to thank all who prayed for Gloria Jean in the past month, because our prayers have been answered. She's doing well and expected to go home in about a week. Yesterday the rehab hospital staged a big gathering for the patients and staff, where she spoke about her Hollywood career and answered questions. I have a website dedicated to her, and they showed that to the audience. They even gave Gloria a certificate of recognition for "bringing joy to our kupuna [grandparents/ honored elders]." We're so grateful that she will be going home happy and healthy, and are praying that we can visit her next summer, when she'll be 90, bless her.

That's good to hear! Bless her heart, she's lucky to have you and Mr. in her corner!

Well so much for having time to get caught up on here today. My nieces ran me ragged with their to do list and playing. Then we went out to eat and ran into some old friends. So there went the rest of the evening before mom had to be at the sleep study. Now I'm just trying to relax a little before bed. That 4:30 am wake up call is going to come way to quick.

Hope you enjoyed dinner and mom's sleep study went well! Hope you were able to get a little bit of sleep in!

Almost forgot ... I don't have a photo yet, but I finished crocheting a 14" pillow that looks like a giant peppermint. It's crocheted around a pillow form: increased in rounds to the diameter of the pillow form, then decreased several rounds; then the pillow form goes in, and the rounds decrease until it's closed off in the center. I didn't think at first that it would come together properly in the center at the end, but it did!

I bet it's beautiful! I can't wait to see a photo!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! Whew!!! It's a hot one out there already. They are calling for the heat index to get well over 100 this afternoon. The air is already so thick you feel like you are swimming in it. Not to mention the fog that was pretty heavy this morning. Well here it is 7am and I've already been to the hospital to pick up mom, back home for her to get a shower and for me to change the shorts I decided to split in half and give everyone a show with, then back out to the grocery store to pick up a few items that we had ran out of. Now I think it's time for a nap!!! LOL!!! I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!! Stay cool if you are getting all of this heat!!!!

Hope everyone is getting off to a great start this morning. So far my morning is way better than yesterday's. I ran this morning, so that helps tremendously. No whining from my little one while getting her ready for day camp (thank you to all the Saints and angles) I'm even having a great hair day!

It will be EASY to stay cool in the office. I will have to go outside for a few minutes this afternoon to get the chill out of my bones! Summer at my desk requires a sweater and a space heater to keep the shivers away.

We froze in our office today too! It's usually cool, but we were all complaining today.

I have really been noticing that.... not thrilled about it. Excited for the holidays, but not thrilled about less daylight in my days!!

I try not to let SADD creep in on me. Instead of sitting in the house with just lamps on, I turn on the overhead lights. That has helped tremendously!

DD is with my parent's today. DH told us to figure out what we want to do for supper because he will be eating a big lunch & won't be hungry. I hope Mom has supper ready when I get there & we can just eat with her. Summer suppers with my parents include lots of fresh veggies. I hated that growing up, but I really miss it now!
