The Low Country Boil at Nancy's parents' was great! Bernie thought he had some crab legs to go along with the shrimp, sausage, corn & potatoes, but someone at the store must have sold them. Instead, we added a bag of crawfish. Not bad!
Nancy has taken her mom to Atlanta this morning to meet with a doctor who thinks he can help her with her diabetes-diminished eyesight. I hope he can help!
With Nancy out of town, I have to take the kids to their Dance & guitar lessons. I don't like it when we're all separated like that, but whatcha gonna do?

I just had wonderful, belly-bustin' dinner here at mom's! I was planning to shoot my 9mm today, but it's just too hot outside to enjoy it. I'm sitting here with Elizabeth watching Matilda. It's funny!
We're going to a low country boil at Bernie & Hilda's this evening. More yum!

It was a very busy Saturday here in Canada's Capital. Kim and I finally found Simon's favourite food. He was very excited to have it return to his dish after a two month absence. It was nice to cook a delicious dinner last night and then just spend some time watching a movie.
I spotted a sign that the Season is getting closer at Petsmart! It's more than 2 1/2 months away, but Petsmart is already prepared for all your pet costume needs. I'd be lying to say that I wasn't surprised, although it did not fail to put a smile on my face.
After taking this photo, we visited Walmart and I noticed that all their Seasonal items are being moved around and switched to Fall. I suspect that Halloween will make its way in there within a couple weeks.
A little before Halloween, but I also spotted this nice seasonal aisle a week and a half ago at our grocery store. After all, (Canadian) Thanksgiving is only about two months away!:

Just wanted to show you all Gracie's new boyfriend at the lake. He just moved in 2 weekends ago, right next door to us....and he is very protective of Gracie! No other dogs can play with her when he's around - he will chase them off!
Thought I'd stop by quickly to wish everyone a wonderful Sunday evening and a great week of merry thoughts.
I went for a drive into the back country roads looking for things to photograph, but the traffic is heavier than it used to be and there's no space to simply pull off to the side to get out and wait for Partridge and other things to emerge from the bush. More farms and homes than I recall last summer. It was still a good drive and wouldn't you know it, a few Christmas songs magically wound up on my MP3 player. I'll catch up with you off and on throughout the week, but I don't know how much back-tracking I can do to keep up with the posts.
Consider yourself: thought about and valued as I always keep my merry friends close to my heart and in my thoughts throughout the day, but especially before I drift off to sleep.

Good Morning, folks! It's been quite the Monday with crazy things going on already...I dropped a fork on my toe, woke up with weird chaotic dreams-the kind that make you feel like you hadn't slept at all really, and today looks very busy at work. Listening to Christmas music and trying to relax. It'll be fine-just another manic Monday.

Not a lot going on here, typical day of errands and chores. My youngest said her phone charger isn't working so I'm going to run to the store to buy her one since she's working a long shift today. I've never had a phone charger stop working on me, This isn't the first one I've bought for my girls, I don't know what they do to them.
Snowflake inspired me to get some new wax melts for Autumn, I placed an order with Yankee Candle yesterday. I picked up a couple of the new Fall scents including Sugar & Spice, Vanilla Bourbon, and Brandy Pear Tart. Can't wait to get them. I'm really getting excited about Fall, it's still warm during the day but I can feel a difference in the air every morning. I've also seen a few acorns on the ground.

Just curious, does anyone else here buy Bath and Body Works candles? I am a huge fan of them! Their Autumn scents are my absolute favorite, actually the only scents I buy from them.
I know the majority of folks prefer Yankee but just wondering if anyone buys BBW brands besides me.
I did it more for health reasons. I use all natural ingredients and was shocked to see some positive changes on my skin! I use it on my face, hands, etc. Nothing wrong with BBW but love making my own.
I wish we could!!

She wanted to sleep a lot of the weekend, and most definitely does not like the antibiotic cream.
