Snowflake, i thought of you yesterday as i shopped for new Autumn decorations for the house. I couldn't wait to come home to put everything together and i can't wait for the girls to come home and see them.

Enjoy your cool temperatures!

Wonderful!! Love it =]
I bet your home looks beautiful!
Thank you!

The rest was nice while it lasted...now it's back to work for me until Friday. Saturday is my husband's grandmother's birthday, so we're driving to spend it with her 2.5 hours away. Trying to be okay with being so busy is tough--I feel like I can never catch my breath!

So glad Tuesday is a Milestone Day and that we can celebrate with a little QVC. Lord knows I need the smiles from it! BRING ON THE GLITTER AND LASERS!
Hope things slow down for you soon.
Looking forward to milestone day!
Have a blessed Sunday~

My little chihuahua, Niles, had a rough night. He sleeps right next to me in bed and got sick. What a way to get woke up! I made a bed on the floor in case he got sick again and slept right next to him. We slept there for about an hour, his tummy seem to settle so we got back in bed. He did eat this morning and seems to be doing fine, hope it stays that way! Not to fond of sleeping on a hard floor but you know we will do ANYTHING to comfort our furry friends! I need to get him on the same diet as Meca and see if he improves.

Sending up prayers for Niles ~(((hugs)))

Thanks everyone. I will be sure to take and post lots of pictures. The land is over an 1/2 acre and they currently have a horse pad and a few horses on site. Next spring we plan on converting part of that horse pad into an orchard and garden. We have plans to purchase at least 6 apple trees (3 different kinds) 3 peach trees, 3 blueberry bushes, along with concorde grapes and a whole lot of veggies.

Sounds beautiful Minta, can't wait to see the pictures! :)

Made, how is your mom?

Snowflake, how is your father-in-law and how is Harlowe?

HMG, Is Maggie doing okay?

Holiday, checking in on Gracie!

Anyone else having issues, please let me know. I hope everyone is healthy! I just never get a chance to read all the post and don't want to leave anyone out!

I am always thinking of you all!!!

Maggie's doing pretty well CAH, thank you. We increased her cough suppressant and it helps, as long as I get her to take it!

Good morning MMC!

It's a beautiful Sunday morning drive to New Jersey. I'm in my older sister's car with her daughter and her grandson on our way to our cousin's baby shower. Should only be a little less than a two hour drive. My sister has Justin Timberlake's cd on and i like him a lot but when i am on a road trip i need a variety of genres and artist.

I'm praying there will be a few non meat options for me to eat. Most ppl never think of us folks who don't eat meat and we're stuck with cheese and crackers. It's gotten to the point i bring my own food just in case.

What are you guys up to today?

I know how you feel, I usually have to bring my own food because I'm gluten free. Hope you have a wonderful time at the baby shower!
I'm going to visit my parents soon, looking forward to seeing them. :)

It hit the spot!!
We have a fast food restaurant here called, "Hit the Spot". HaHa. Good name and if I'm going to stray from healthy food that's the place I'm inclined to swing by as they have a variety of deli style sandwiches not just homemade fries and Pogos.

Hey everybody!

Dang, it's been a while since I have been here. The first week of school was smooth, but busy. Week 2 doesn't look to offer much of a slow down. That's ok, I'm just waiting for the last full week of August to get here so we can get to the "Ber" months. It's coming, y'all, it coming!!!!!!!
Speaking of "ber" months, I might take in a few football games this year. I was really into it back when Jerry Rice and Joe Mantana were playing and since then I usually only watch the games during the playoffs. I sometimes cheer for Green Bay although I was a 49ers fan way back. In baseball, I cheer for the Toronto Blue Jays - a must do because I lived there once upon a time.

Good Morning, friends~
Merry Sunday!
Wishing you a blessed & beautiful day with your loved ones.

The trees in that photo are hanging so low, I bet my son would have to duck down to navigate along that path. I can see myself as a child riding along on my red bike with training wheels pretending it was a horse. Doesn't take much to stir up thoughts in my merry head.

Good morning everyone, Happy Sunday!
It smells so good in here, I just finished frying a batch of meatballs and I already have a pot of sauce simmering on the stove. I'm making baked rigatoni for dinner. :)
My parents have been in Pennsylvania all week and are coming home today so I'm going to visit them this afternoon. Not too much else going on, should be a relaxing day!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
:giftdude
Yum! I was visiting my mom today and we got to talking about the Italian neighbours from across the street when I was growing up. For Thanksgiving, they made turkey and stuffing, rigatoni and meatballs and turkeyballs in the same dish along with rectangle pizza - Mmmm. Never had a more tasty meal that wasn't traditional. I'm hungry for it all now. Thankfully, I just finished a pesto 'n garlic spinach salad wrap for lunch. Not the same meal though. HaHa.

Good Morning ... Well we have been trying to sell our house for a long while now and its seems its finally going to happen. The contract to purchase our house has been signed and we negotiated and agreed on a purchase price on our next house. Those contacts should be signed tomorrow and it looks like we will be moving mid Oct. The down side is that we will not be able to decorate much for halloween but I do plan on decorating big for Thanksgiving and even bigger for Christmas. The new house has an awesome porch and roof line that is perfect for decorating. We bought a bunch of the C7 bulb light sets last year after Christmas and I can not wait until we can decorate that roof line with them. Another bright side is that during the next month we will be going through everything, purging and reorganizing so that will make it easier to find all the holiday decorations :) The kitchen is so much bigger and opens right into the family room. That will be great when it comes time to bake Christmas cookies. I think the new house will be a really good reason to buy another tree or 2. I would love to buy a real tree to place on that porch and decorate. I am sooo excited ... I feel like this is a dream. I so ca not wait until we sign those papers and can move in.

Well I guess its a good thing I am behind in my Christmas gift shopping this year. That will be less stuff to move LOL. Well I gotta get ready to head out in a bit. Hubby is playing softball this morning. Have a great day!

That's wonderful; I always ask people when they're buying homes if they planned out where they're going to set up their Christmas Tree even if they aren't merry wackos like us. Quite a few friends and relatives wind up imagining that special place as they're touring a prospective dwelling.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I haven't been here since Thursday...I was having withdrawals!

My brother had surgery to remove his gall bladder on Friday. Normally it's a routine surgery, but since he has one of my kidneys, and it's in the front instead of the back, the surgery took longer than expected. We were at the hospital all day, but everything went fine. He came home Saturday morning, and even went by his shop for a little while. LOL

I worked all day yesterday on my part-time business, and the heat almost got me! But, I got it done, so I should be caught up for a week or so.

Now it's time to rouse the family for church. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

The time may come when I'll have to give one of my kidneys to my mom as I'm the only one in the family with the same blood type. I'm glad he's doing well. I have a huge scar from my gall bladder surgery back in the Fall of '90. It was supposed to be routine for me, but once they got in there it was a mess. The gall stones had escaped and were passing through the duodenum. I was in the hospital for nearly 3 weeks. Sure happy your brother got out so quickly and is mending well.

Sounds like a great place!! ;)

Glad to hear she's having a pretty good day!
Please give her hugs for us ❤️

The car appointment didn't go so well. It is somewhat what I expected, the vtec solenoid oil pressure switch. (I googled the alert) But of course you can only use an Acura part, and we don't have an Acura dealership in town, and no one can order the part until Monday, so it wouldn't get to us until Tuesday evening or Wednesday, so I wouldn't get my car back until Wednesday or Thursday. Of course it's extra inconvenient right now with Adrian traveling back-and-forth to Tomah. Hopefully friends can give me a lift as needed, if not I guess I will just take a cab. ;)

Thank you for asking, and for the prayers too!

How was your dinner?

Xo

I've only been driving for 3 years (late bloomer - haha); we went from no cars to 2 cars pretty quick and I can't imagine life without wheels. Today, my husband and I crossed paths at the bank in our cars - it struck me as a bit silly with the gas prices and such that we often go to the same places for different reasons in separate cars. The 2 days my car was in the shop was hard on me so I can relate.

Took a little drive down to the waterfront and strolled along looking for the memorial bench of a family friend who passed in a terrible car accident 3 years ago to send to his wife and came across one for a man who used to let me tend his horses in the summer. Most of y'all will remember that story of when I toted a bucket of manure home on the city bus to bring to my neighbor for his garden only to find out he was joking about me bringing him a bucket of manure. He made use of it anyway or so he told me he would.
Then I swung by to visit my mom while my dad went golfing. She was bored and was sorting through some jewelry and discovered the earrings I had when I was 16 and got my ears pierced (as a present for her because I didn't want to do it) and a pair that came from the Italian neighbor which got us talking about her yummy cooking and she was wearing a pair I had given her for Christmas six years ago. Nothing wrong with her memory today.
