Thank you!
I replaced the router (my husband walked me through it on the phone) and everything seems to be working fine. Fingers crossed. This day is flying by. I ran a few errands, worked on my daily chores and I need to start an early dinner soon. My youngest has work at 5:00 and I want her to eat before she leaves. Still need to squeeze a workout in too. I'll be back later. Hope everyone is having a great day so far!
:sway

Way to go!!
Hope you guys have a nice dinner~
Thanks, hope you're having a great day so far, too!

This is me when the temperatures drop to -40. I love snow for the photos and around Christmas, but after that I could surely do without it. Tuesday sleep 'til Thursday - well I don't want to rush the week away too fast.

So, I noticed the date on the calendar this morning while I was fixing my lunch for work and got all excited and exclaimed, "It's Rudolph Day!" and the cat curled his body sideways in fright - he doesn't care much for my sudden delight of energy so early in the morning.
Sure glad I know a place where everybody gets excited over the mention of Rudolph and other Christmas related words.

WooHoo!!!!! Internet signal!!!!! Of course, I'm sitting at the end of my street on a bench. Still none at home. Boo!!!!! It's beautiful here this morning. 52 degree's and a slight breeze. We should top out in the mid 70's. I'm off in search of a tire since one decided to blow out on me Sunday as I turned into my apartment complex. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!
Guess it's a good thing for us it wasn't raining otherwise you wouldn't be chatting to us on the bench down the road.
Hope things start to work in your favor soon, buddy!:rubhead

Good Tuesday morning to everyone.
Hope it's gotten off to a great start.

Today is the first day back to school for my girls. After my morning workout i had some time with London helping her with her outfit choices and chatting up with her. These moments like this with her are winding down as this is her last year of high school. I did the "mum" thing and snapped a pic for my documenting purposes while i heard "oh come on mum" lol. She leaves so early, 6:15 am. Lizzybeth had a more anxious start than her big sister, she got a little sick but i think it was her nerves getting the best of her. Starting 5th grade is huge too. I was one of several parents at the bus stop this morning seeing there kids off and catching up about everyone's summer.

I packed both of their lunches last night while they talked about their weekend with their dad. It was so cute to see all of our lunch boxes in the fridge once again. I put their back to school cards inside which the other kids make fun of them for but i don't do it for the other kids i do it for them. They like them so that's enough for me. I put a preseasoned chicken in the slow cooker as a part of their special back to school dinner tonight, it's one less thing i have to rush to do when i get home from work.

As much as some may dread the start of a new school year i love it. For me it means we're back on our routine and i thrive on a routine.

What about anyone else what does the coming of the autumn season mean for you and how do you usually wrap up your summer?

She's starting 5th grade; I think I went through panic time at the start of every school year. Most of the classmates were the same so I can't explain why I always seemed so nervous.
When I started kindergarten, I noticed the teacher had my Fisher Price School House in the classroom. I wasn't sure how the whole paying for learning thing worked so I imagined my mom gave it to her so I could go to school. When I was leaving for the afternoon, I grabbed my schoolhouse stuffed it under my top and held onto the base and walked passed the teacher.

She smiled and said she'd see me the next day. I hurried by and rushed through the baseball field in the school yard, hopped over the ditch into my back yard where my mom was waiting with the back door opened. "How was school, dear?" She asked and I hurried by and up to my room and then realized my school house was right where I left it. Suddenly, I had two. A dark cloud hovered over me. I was terrified I was going to get into trouble. One of my older brothers told me if you misbehave you get "the strap".

I went to the kitchen where my mom was preparing my lunch and explained what happened and what I thought and that I was just going to give the teacher something I didn't play with as much. She told me just to tell the teacher what she told me and it would fix everything.
When I returned with the school house the next day, the teacher laughed at my reasoning behind the whole thing and to this day, I remember her with great fondness. If she had over-reacted and called me a "thief" or something, it would've wrecked my whole year.

Funny thing is that I wasn't clever enough to hold the bell still so the whole time I thought I was concealing the school house under my top, the bell was going "tinga-tinga-dinga".
I suppose some of my panic in the years that followed were just worries that I might do something embarrassing like that again. Thankfully all went well each year.

She was always my favourite teacher. I met her as an adult many years later when she was shopping for Christmas presents with my Godmother; they were good friends and it gave me a chance to thank her for being so kind.

Good Morning!

When I first joined here on MMC my granddaughter was born just a couple of months later. Yesterday she celebrated her 6th birthday! Time flies!

On a sad note, on my granddaughter's birthday 2 years ago she got a Betta fish named Toby. Then yesterday on her birthday he passed away. :( They are like me and get attached to every living breathing creature so they are all sad to see him gone. I am too!

If I remember correctly, your husband joined us first; sure glad you took the merry invite and wandered in and stayed to celebrate family, friends and Christmas.
Sorry to hear about the fish.

Hi snow holiday made and
everyone else out and MMC land:snowball
Here in Arizona we never have change of seasons like you all do.
Today We have a rare overcast day with five drops of rain! LOL
So happy I found MMC when I did I love living vicariously through all the different experiences you have with the seasons changing.
Hugs, Ms rose :)

I try and remember folks like you who can't experience the 4 seasons the way some of us do.
Autumn is my favourite season, but sadly the beautiful colours don't last as long as I'd like.

And let me warn you now, the NEXT Milestone will blow your mind.......
In fact, let's put that off until tomorrow.
(We need time to catch our breath!)

Well, the heat and humidity made a somewhat unexpected comeback yesterday.
Our local weather service assures us that was a one shot deal and nicer weather is on tap for the rest of the week.
This morning has started out at 73 slightly damp degrees here.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone.
And a Merry Milestone Day to one and all!

It has been a terrific Tuesday, indeed. Thank you for leading us to yet another milestone, Crown! Only 1/3 remains until the Big Day. And, to think that we're really only just getting started... We can only hope that something else very special is started by this time next month, too!
