Good Monday Morning! It's the last morning of summer for me...I always feel like when the calendar says September, no matter what the thermometer says, it's fall. I love the -ber months, and I cannot wait to enjoy them with my husband, friends, and family. I'll be looking up new fall recipes to try and making my fall wreath this week to be hung the day after Labor Day on our front door! Some leaves have even begun to change already. I can't believe it's finally here again.

I'm finally back in my routine--no more three jobs. It'll be an adjustment but a good one, I think. I'm ready to not be so busy and to just focus on less. And, we don't have any travel after this weekend for the foreseeable future, which also makes me happy! I like being at home, especially in the fall. Hope you all have an absolutely wonderful day!

Glad things are slowing down for you!

Home is my favorite place ❤️ It's even better in the fall!

Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning, Supporters of Anything and Everything Christmas.

Ready for a new week?
Or better question, ready for our latest count numbers?
Well, ready or not, they always arrive on schedule.

Oh, look! Here they are now:
Days to the Season: 74
Days to Christmas Day: 116

And those numbers tell us that we are just 16 days away from the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone and the beginning of a twin double-digit count.
That's just 2 weeks from the day after tomorrow!
(Wowzers -- just Wowzers!)

A tad warmer and more humid here yesterday but still very nice.
We have opened the day this morning with a light rain at 70 degrees.

My older niece has accepted an accounting position in Charlotte and will be moving there tomorrow. We will be so sorry to see her leave after 24 years (roots go deep!) but it's a good opportunity for her, and after so many years of education (including her CPA designation) she can't wait to join the working market at last!

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

Good Monday morning My Christmas friends.

The end of another weekend has come and with that another Monday rolls in. Seems like it happens quite often and i
sense a pattern, lol.

My first Sunday since joining the choir since just Saturday didn't go exactly as i planned. One of the unwritten requirements of being on the choir is all day attendance on Sundays and that means i have to be there starting at 8:45 for the briefing before Sunday school starts, then after Sunday school, morning worship. A few hours break in the afternoon before regular choir rehearsal, then evening service. So most of my Sundays will be spent in church, which is fine but yesterday i get up at 6am to let Buttercup out only to find my niece sleeping in her car in my driveway. I found out She had been there since about 2am. She's a newlywed and she and her husband had their first disagreement and so she needed space. She didn't want to disappoint her parents (my older sister) so she didn't go there and didn't want to be embarrassed by going to a friend's so she came to my house but instead of calling ahead or once she arrived she just slept in her car.

I listened to the reason for the argument and offered her some suggestions mainly never leave but rather stay and work the disagreement out. Of course the argument was stupid but i didn't tell her that but i called my sister last night to see if my niece was fine which she is and she's back home with her husband.

Meanwhile i missed Sunday school and morning service. I didn't let that keep me from choir rehearsal tho and evening service. However, i was touched she came to my home and listened to me even though i feel like I'm not in the best position to offer advice due to me being divorced. I still can share with her what doesn't work when in a marriage so I'm hoping she gleaned something. Her parents have been together since dinosaurs walked the earth but again she didn't want to feel like a failure comparing her new marriage to their seasoned one.

Despite that little hiccup my Sunday as well as the rest of my weekend was great, very productive and enjoyable.
I hope you all have a marvelous Monday and a good start to your week.

Good Morning, Ladybugkisses ~
Sorry to hear that your niece & her husband had their first argument as a married couple. But it's nice that she felt safe coming to you with her troubles. Keeping her & her husband in my thoughts.
Monday's have a way of sneaking up on us quickly.
Hope you have a great start to your week!

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! Now it's back to the grind! Good thing it's a long weekend next weekend! :D And I can't believe tomorrow starts the Bers! How did that happen? So I guess we could say, it's Ber's Eve! Ha ha! ;)
We had a nice weekend at the lake. We grilled out with neighbors both Friday & Saturday night. (Charlie's ribs were delicious!) We made homemade ice cream yesterday. What a feast!
Have a great day everyone!!!! I'm off to catch up on the weekend posts! (hopefully!)

Merry Monday friends!! Hope everyone had a good weekend. On Saturday I went to see Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean at Gilette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. It was an awesome show. Now back to the grind! Hope you all have a great day. I think some Chistmas music is definitely on my agenda for today!

Soooo jealous of you seeing Kenny and Jason. I've seen Kenny twice and Jason once (was my oldest daughter's first concert ever). They both put on a great show. Glad to hear you had a great time.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be hot here today with a high in upper 80's. It looks like we might see some storms this afternoon too. Isn't it supposed to start cooling off now? Nothing to exciting going on here today. Just need to run into the store to pick up some more allergy meds. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a lot of posts I wanted to reply too from the weekend, but for some reason it's not allowing me to insert quotes this morning! I'll have to try to remember some of them...

xmastidings ~ the snake story! EEK! I would have freaked out! Glad to hear your renovation is coming along nicely & your kids are doing well!! Hope things slow down for you soon! xx

HMG - I hope your parents have a wonderful trip to Florida!!

AMD - I hope you were able to find corn at the farmers market!

...that's all I can remember! I'm off to continue trying to catch up! :)
