Christmas Countdown - 2015

It was a long and very bad day today, my coolers went down overnight and we lost all our pork and chicken. I spent hours claiming and throwing away thousands of dollars of meat. Not fun!
I am exhausted and ready for sleep.

I just finished watching the Packers final preseason game. Boy, I am glad I am not the only responsible for the final cuts. 22 players must be cut for the final 53, and the final seven or eight cuts have me stumped! Either way, they all should be proud of the way they played and I hope they find jobs elsewhere, if not with the Packers.

Not much new from today. I am currently training for a 10km race in mid-October. A friend of mine convinced me to join her race team. I haven't done a 10km race since high school. We'll see how it goes. Anyway, I went for a 8.5km run and should be doing 8-11km runs at least three times per week now (on top of 3 times at the gym)...

Nice to see the countdown continue to decrease. Seeing it hit 70 Days to the Season will be nice tomorrow. And, of course, seeing us jump into the 60s on Saturday will be swell.

It is bed time shortly. I hope you all have had a great Thursday! Enjoy yourselves tomorrow. The long/holiday weekend is almost here!

Good evening everyone. Just getting in from another long day.... Hope all is well, I'm going to try and read some posts tonight, if I can stay awake that long.

News for the night, Our brand new Toyota Rave was in an accident today. Yup, had an accident all by itself, no driver in it and it was locked and parked in a parking lot. So, how can that happen? Well, according to the police, a very, very, very elderly lady hit five parked cars trying to park her car. Our vehicle is not too bad, but the Mercedes that got pushed into our car, had to get towed away. Yes, it was parked in front of our car. That little old lady, hit that Mercedes so hard, that she pushed it into our Toyota and our bumper is partially off.... I felt bad for her, because she had to go to the emergency room, and after taking out five cars, they will probably take her license away from her. Where did all of this take place? In a hospital parking lot....... go figure!!!

No matter how careful you are as a motorist, you can't always protect yourself from the other guy who isn't as careful. So sorry it was you this time.

Good Morning MMC!! Happy Friday!! Today I'll be traveling to my husband's parents house for a two day stay with them with my husband. We're hoping to spend all day tomorrow watching football and enjoying fall!! We'll see what happens. I work a job where I don't get any days off unless I take personal time off (which I get 13 days of a year)--the residents at the retirement community need us to work even on Labor Day! So, I'll be working, but still enjoying that fall is going to unofficially be here and we can celebrate that!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday afternoon!! And a Wonderful Weekend if I don't get on here until we get back!!

was all set to answer a bunch of posts last night, had them all lined up and everything, then bam, this machine is off and my answers forever lost somewhere out there in cyber space. So know that I tried and I at least read and caught up and was thinking about you all.
I have the next 4 days off so hoping to get caught up on things around here. I see the ornament exchange is open for this year, so exciting !
Just took a batch of cupcakes out of the oven and took the sourdough starter out of the fridge so it is ready for baking tomorrow.

Hi all!
I was meant to be sorting my house out today, moving funiture around making up flatpacks etc as we have not long moved in but so far all ive spent my day doing is watching peppa pig christmas specials with my little one and been searching for a tv bracket as i have learnt having a tv on a stand with a one year old isnt a good idea.... Finger prints galore!

I don't know about you all but I'm so looking forward to this long holiday weekend. My girls will once again be visiting their dad in upstate NY. I'm glad his weekend falls on this weekend because i agreed to let them stay an extra day so that will give them all a little more time to spend together and i get a little extra time to myself to recharge.

I don't have much in the way of plans, i was invited to attend a jazz festival in the park on Saturday but i haven't made up my mind yet as to whether or not I'll be going. Part of me likes the idea of not really doing much or coming and
going according to my own schedule.

I do hope that everyone has a great weekend doing whatever you want.

[Holiday]

It's great when they can rule certain things out, but frustrating and concerning waiting to find out what's wrong as more tests are taken. At least, in my case, she's not in the hospital and I live fairly close so I can scoot over there any time.

We're still waiting to learn the cause of my mom's condition and results of several tests. They said mid-September, but then my husband said she was told she might learn something next week. She's stuck at home until they have some answers, she's afraid to travel and they've been wanting to get away for several weeks. Hope they find out what's causing it and that it can be easily taken care of so she can enjoy walking outdoors before the snow flies and she becomes housebound.

Give Adrian a hug from me and I'll toss some prayers out.

There's also a Marshalls in the same shopping center so I'll probably pop in there too. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. That's about it for me.
