Bringing Fall decorations down from the attic is always a good time around here, too!
I'm excited!

Bringing Fall decorations down from the attic is always a good time around here, too!
Had a restless night so when I woke up the coffee was gone so I had golden green tea instead. We got a kuerig for Christmas and it's still in th box. The shame of it all. YABBA!
It officially doesn't start until then for us, either. But I personally always consider fall to begin when the 'Bers start.Around these parts, Summer isn't officially over until the Fall equinox on Sept. 23rd. and I'm looking forward to the beautiful colours, but not the -30 temps that will follow come November. We celebrate Labor Day here so I have tomorrow off was thinking of having a "rip van winkle" weekend, but I can't stay in bed. I've got some cooking and housework planned, might wonder down to the end of Summer Fair in a community south of here - still on the search for decent Corn on the Cob.
Very cool!!We took our early morning walk at the Arboretum yesterday and they are already setting up the gazebos for the 12 Days of Christmas! Exciting!

And I agree with that. We have frigid weather in Northern Wisconsin, too.
Enjoy the Summer fair if you go!
Love corn on the cob!
Just what Snowflake said! In my mind, Summer is OVER once the 'Bers start! The temperatures will not cooperate with me though! I get in arguments with the heat everyday. Ha ha! My indoor fall decorations are up so it's fall! I will set up my outside decor probably a week after Labor Day. In reality, you are correct, Auntie! Summer is over with what you said!
The good news!!! They said the highs will be in the 80's by next weekend! Finally a cool down!!!
I sure hope the test results will answer some questions that will lead to effective treatment. He's been through so much so far, and you and Adrian with him---it's time for some answers and relief.Merry Sunday, friends~
Thinking of you.
Hope that you have a blessed and beautiful day with your loved ones!
I will be at my parents for a bit, then Harlowe & I are heading home to spend time with Adrian. It sounds like we will be waiting until Tuesday at the earliest to get Ken's test results back. Thanks again for all of your kind words, prayers, and messages.
Have a wonderful day!

These are two of the warm-and-fuzziest Peanuts images I have ever seen. Thank you!
I'd love to see that light display! We were going to take the Edaville train ride through the lights last year, but never got there. Strolling through the lighted Arboretum sounds dazzling! We took our early morning walk at the Arboretum yesterday and they are already setting up the gazebos for the 12 Days of Christmas! Exciting!

So glad the upgrade went smoothly for you!Sunday morning, and I'm catching up with the Countdown. Haven't been making many individual replies, but have been keeping every one of you in my thoughts.
I've been lying low for about a week. Been down with a vicious chest cold that kept me home from work for three miserable days last week, and the cough and the fatigue and fuzziness are still hanging on. I finally got brave enough yesterday to upgrade our five-year-old iMac from Snow Leopard to Yosemite. (Apple doesn't provide security updates for Snow Leopard anymore.) I'd been putting off upgrades for years, spooked by horror stories posted by others who'd upgraded, but it went perfectly smoothly and things are operating well this morning. Figured the long weekend was a good time to deal with it, and I'm glad I did.
I think today will be a good day to kick back, rest, and push fluids with honey and lemon. So eager to get this congestion and laziness out of my system. I want my normal voice back, too!
Praying that won't happen---but if it did, we would all pray some more. There is an answer somewhere.Thank you very much, MerryCarey.
We are praying- they think it may be a brain infection, but are looking for confirmation on the tests. It would explain his confusion, agitation & behavior, and unexplained pain. I just don't know what we'll do if we don't get a concrete diagnosis, and treatment plan.

Yes! And the second picture---it's so rare to see Snoopy acting like a regular dog, and to see Charlie Brown genuinely happy. It's an "all's right with the world" picture.I just love Snoopy's sweet face in the first one!
Thank you!So glad the upgrade went smoothly for you!
Thinking of you, hope you can rest up and feel much better soon~
(((Hugs)))
