We saw some candy corn today too! My wife loves it, I hate it. Which is the way it seems to go, Love or hate.
That is why I call candy corn, the fruit cake of Halloween. :p

I never cared much for candy corn or fruit cake either ...
we should start a support group - haha :bundleup

Hey everyone! Hope y'all had a good day. Tried to be lazy here....gonna try the same thing tomorrow. Y'all be good. I am going to try to have coffee here in the morning!

I was in bed for 10 hours last night and asleep for most of it. Think I caught up on some sleep some of y'all missed out on lately, plus what I lacked. Feeling well rested today.

O'Malley was such a good boy, he didn't bother us one little bit.

Happy Labour Day. Hope your work day goes quickly! The fall wreath sounds rustic and beautiful. I look forward to the photo. I keep saying every year that I will make a wreath but never do it.

My brother made a homemade wreath for my parents once that had miniature trolls and gremlins all over it - never did make it to the front door, but I saw it on the back door - guessing they put it up when he was visiting.
I like changing my wreaths every week from the last weekend in November until Christmas Eve. Haven't made my own yet. Think I'll give it a go this year since I couldn't find what I was looking for last year - guess I'll just make it myself.

A bit early, but:

Good Morning, Everyone.

Single Digits to a Double-Double Digit count.
(Sounds confusing, but actually it's wonderful!)

Days to the Season: 67
Days to Christmas Day: 109

Indeed.
In nine short days, both our Season and Chrismas Day count will consist of double digits instead of the usual triple.
(This, of course, means that time is just starting to grow short.)
It is also a good indicator that we are getting pretty close to the posting of Christmas Blossoms 2015.
(Which in turn means I had better get crackin' looking for some early season photos to launch the thread with!)

The situation remains tolerable, weather wise, as we move along through the final days of official Summer.
I'm not a big one for cold weather, so I'm ususally sad to see the summer go.
BUT, of course, it means our much beloved and greatly coveted Christmas Season is that much closer!
We have started off the new week here at 74 degrees in the NC state capital.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

Thanks Crown, hope you have a wonderful day!

I hope everyone is having a great day so far!

wow wow wow...still so very hot here hard to imagine Christmas is so close. Looking forward to the Christmas blossoms thread as well, must go to mall (something I am not fond of doing) and look for those signs of Christmas !

My husband was checking out the local cable channel this morning (because the weather network wasn't listing current temps - our crew falling asleep at the switch) - anyway I couldn't help, but notice the message announcing the Christmas Craft Show coming up Nov. 23rd.

The signs of Christmas are everywhere.:shakeit
love Christmas craft shows, I need to look and see when they are starting in our area

I hope everyone is having a great day so far!
:snowball
so far yes, about to pick up my girls, an icecream cake and then come here to have an afternoon on visiting and playing games

Good morning everyone!
I'm just relaxing and having my coffee. I'm exhausted today, Maggie had me up all night. Not sure what's going on, she was so restless. The little stinker is sleeping now. Wish I could have stayed in bed but I have things to do. Maybe I'll get to squeeze a nap in at some point, we'll see. The weather is going to be beautiful today, sunny with a high of 85 degrees. We're going to grill and eat outside this evening. I have to get started in the kitchen soon, I'm making potato salad, coleslaw and a pasta salad. We're going to grill shrimp kebabs, chicken, a marinated flank steak & corn on the cob.
Even though summer doesn't officially end yet, I consider Labor Day to be the end of the summer season. I can't wait until Fall officially arrives!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Set me a place for dinner please!!!

I know what you mean, we had our last three day weekend last week and it marks the official end although it won't feel truly autumn till October. September is my transition month sort of like the yellow light to get ready LOL

Enjoy your delicious meal plans.

Happy Labor Day everyone!
I hope everyone is loving these last few moments of summer. I've enjoyed this past weekend alone, sleeping till 6am every morning, no real places to go. Had a wonderful day at church yesterday, i made my choir debut
yesterday. My girls weren't there due to
visiting their dad but they'll be there this
Sunday. Texted London and they'll be home in
a few hours, so I'm catching up on some lite cleaning.

Hope you all savor this day.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

Today, I was just thinking about how Labour Day is the final holiday before the debut of the Blossoms thread! I guess we can relate a lot to the Blossoms thread if we really try.

I'm in the same boat, Crown. I have been keeping an eye - or two - open for signs. I have not quite yet spotted anything. Kim and I were in Walmart on Saturday, where we did our routine visit to the Seasonal section. They had nothing. There wasn't even any Halloween decor. It was merely a few lawn ornaments and Rubbermaid containers. I can recall a few years in a row spotting some Christmas things by the end of Labour Day weekend.

Oh well.... I am sure we will find plenty of things to contribute over the next couple weeks!
