Good Morning, Hilariously Happy Humpday Hooligans, Having High Holiday Hopes!

And today's numbers guarantee a Highly Happy Day to all:
Days to the Season: 65
Days to Christmas Day: 107

They also come with the added notation that we are now exaclty one week away from the 100-day Christmas Day Window and the commencement of a twin double-digit count.
(Stay tuned for pending excitement!)

And speaking of excitement, Carl is getting more and more worked up since we have entered the 'bers and has been working on a secret display for the Shispering Pines auditorium.
Rumor has it he will be presenting blow-ups of all of the Christmas Blossoms 2015 photos posted starting later this month with the thread launch.
(THAT should certainly start putting the 'Pines into the Christmas spirit!)

Still more humid yesterday but not overly hot. A late afternoon rain added to the moisture but after today, saner conditions are predicted to prevail.
(Believe I will hold off mowing the lawn until then.)
This morning has started off at 75 humid degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone.
Hope to see everyone who can come at the 'Pines this evening!
(For some reason I really need a fired twinkie and iced tea fix this week.)

It was a nice weekend, but went way too fast - even having 2 extra days! How can those days go soooo fast?? Hope you had a nice weekend! How is your FIL? Did you get to see your parents? Hope all is well! xx
Time flies when you're having fun!! :p
Glad you had a nice Birthday weekend!!

I did go to see my parents on Saturday, it was so relaxing & peaceful to be home with them.

Ken is still in the hospital, we are still waiting full results. Thank you for asking.

Have a great day!

xx

Happy Pines Day!

Good rainy hump/pines day morning MMC!
I'm going to try to catch up a little around here, but it looks like that could take awhile! :)
I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend! Ours was nice, and warm! Whew! (not complaining though...) We never got out on the lake once! As a matter of fact, except for walking Gracie, & a couple bike rides, we only left the landing once to go out for supper! We had food, drinks, friends, shade trees, bonfires, the big screen tv was out ~ why would we ever leave?? Ha ha! Now it's back to the grind today, but at least it's Wednesday already! Whoot!
Hope you all have a Happy Hump Day!!!

I would've stayed put too! Sounds absolutely wonderful! Glad that you had such a fabulous Labor Day and birthday weekend :)

Afternoon guys, hope your day is going well.
The repair guy has just been. His advice is to replace the system entirely as the make is old and discontinued so sourcing the parts will be almost impossible. He is an engineer with Worceitster, the makers of my current boiler so I am inclined to think his advice is genuine. The other guy never actually turned on the heat when he examined it but this guy did and found that a couple of other things are not working properly. The repairs will cost just under a £1000.00 so obviously it makes sense to put that toward a new system.

I think I believe him but who knows!!!

From 300.00 I am now looking at £2000.00!!! Have the strong stuff ready and waiting for me later at the pines !! I'm going to need it!!!

Merry Morning! Happy Pines Day!!

It's been a while since I have made it to the Pines! I look forward to later. What's in store for tonight?

Expecting another repair guy today to give me a second quote for the heating repair. Fingers crossed his will be more reasonable. Other than that working home today and enjoying time with Isaac. Nervous about leaving tomorrow at Nursery school. How did he get to be so big already :(

Have a wonderful Wednesday all!

I hope this quote comes in lower!! xx Enjoy your day with Isaac! I hope his 1st day at Nursery school goes well tomorrow!

Thank you, Sam.
Har is fine, now.
She had an infection for a month or so, because she was likely cut while being groomed, and we were never told.
Yesterday was her first time being groomed (at a new place!) and we were all nervous for her. But thankfully, it went well.
(((Hugs))) back to you!
Glad it went well! She looks adorable!

Sorry to hear that, Sam!
I will have the good stuff waiting for you at the Pines!! :)

I remember the Farmers Almanac when I was very little. Have they got England in there? What kind of winter are we going to have lol?

Fingers crossed for that White Christmas for you all
The Farmers Almanac and the Old Farmers Almanac are different publications, although they're both New England-based. The Old Farmers Almanac only covers the U.S., I'm afraid! Say---does England also publish almanacs?

The news story this year is that both almanacs are saying that most places in the U.S. that get snow in the wintertime will have a white Christmas this year. In the Boston area we got over 101 inches of snow last winter, so we're not thrilled! Cities had no place to put the snow cleared from the streets; plowed streets were narrow and rimmed with high walls of plowed snow, and intersections were dangerous to navigate; and roofs were buckling and caving in due to the accumulated weight of the snow. Nice to look at for a while, maybe, but after a few weeks the piles and piles of gray, sooty snow became, well, less than pretty. The last of the snow at the "snow farms" (dumps for snow removed from streets and parking lots) melted sometime in June.

Happy Hump Day! Another very hot day today. My oldest daughter is getting out early today due to the heat. Yesterday her classrooms were over 90. I am ready for fall! Have a merry day!View attachment 12809
The heat is awful for September, but it's supposed to drop tomorrow after some thunderstorms, thank goodness. The next town over from us is closing their schools early today.

Good morning MMCers, and Happy Pines Day! It is definitely one of the last warm days of summer today, as the end of this week begins to cool off majorly! Trying to wear my summer outfits while I still can!!

My husband has a presentation he's very nervous about this morning-all thoughts and prayers for him would be so welcome!

After working the last three Sundays and being incredibly busy at work on Monday, I FINALLY get a day off tomorrow, a half day on Friday at the easy job, and a weekend off!!!!!!!!! I'm as happy as kid on Christmas morning-I've been SO TIRED this month! Need a break!!!

Hope everyone else is well and has a fabulous Wednesday! See you at the Pines!
Enjoy your time off, and RELAX some!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've had some after-work work to do lately, just enough to get dirty and sweaty everyday. It's not terribly hot, but the humidity is nearly 100% all day. Yuck!

Elections are coming up soon (not mine, though!), and my side business is temporary advertising signs, so all the local politicians are calling me, trying to beat their competitors to the advertising market. I never had any opposition while on the council, but it sounds like campaigning is a pain in the rear LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
