Good morning everyone.
I'm just having my coffee and watching the 9-11 coverage. Can't believe it's been 14 years since that horrible day.
Not too much going on here this morning, just working on some chores around the house. I have a few errands to run as well. Typical day. My parents are coming home from Florida this evening. I won't be able to see them until tomorrow though because they will be getting in too late. Can't wait to see them.
That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

It's a nice morning here, but it's supposed to be in the mid-90's this afternoon. Mid-80's next week, though!
Not much happening this weekend, except for Jacob's band playing Saturday night. That should be fun. I hope to work on Jacob's hunting plot this weekend, and maybe get the trusty StealthCam on a tree. That'll be fun!

Woo hoo!!I set my DVR last night to record Hallmark's Home & Family Tuesday morning at 10:00 ET for their big CHRISTMAS ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!
I have a church meeting tomorrow afternoon, but other than that it will hopefully be a very quiet weekend. Right now I'm looking through recipes trying to decide what I want to cook on sunday.

What I enjoy the most is the fantastic picture quality. Now I actually see the pattern of the dresses. With the old dvds the dresses just looked red or yellow, now you see that there are flower prints on it.
Yes, very scarry! At the end of june we had a horrendous thunderstorm close by that flooded a whole district in Lucerne. A women and her little child died in it. My father had to help to clean up his workplace for like a week. It was very bad.

good mid-morning everyone!
I hope you all had a restful night. It is slightly cloudy here and the sky has this very light fall blue color, though the temps (66.3°) are still a bit high for September.
Yesterday I watched a special tv documentation about the acute refugee situation in Europe. It was on a german tv station and therefore focused on what is done in german for all the new refugees. My heart goes out to all those people, their situation is so bad and I think the public isn't as invested as they should be. Guess it still hasn't sunk in that we are privileged and should be thankful to be living in relative safe places.
My thoughts are with everyone who lost friends/family members at 09/11. I still remember where I was when I first heard what had happened (in a school room) and how shocked we all where. Even though New York is so far away from my country, everyone was just as affected as if we were living there.
On a positive side note: I spent to much money on the shipping of two DVD resp. Blu-ray seasons. Anyone remembers "Little House on the Prairie"? It's one of my favourite tv shows from my childhood. Now that they are releasing digital remastered dvds/blu-rays I have been buying the seasons as they are released. The rest of my family still watches the old german dvds, as they don't understand English well enough to watch it in the original language.
Now that the football season started I try to watch a couple seahawk games, though mostly I will only be able to watch the highlights. Can't wait for October, as then the NHL season will start (as far as I know) and I'll try to watch some of those games too. After watching the world championship this year, I took a liking to ice hockey. Ice hockey is also very big in Switzerland, but I have never watched it. That will change this season though. Our season starts tomorrow!

The refugee crisis is deeply tragic and heart breaking. These past weeks have really saddened me . I have been looking into ways I can help and signed the petition to our government. I am putting together some supplies like warm clothes and other necessary items so I could forward it on. I don't feel like it's enough but I very much wanted to do something .... anything. Continued prayers for those people and a solution.
I watched re runs of Little House on the Praire when I was young. It was very much liked in our house especially by my father. It still reminds me of him whenever I catch a glimpse on TV nowadays.
I love Ice Hockey but haven't watched a game in years!

Evening all,
Second day of nursery went even better. I didn't even have to linger as he was happy to go in by himself. I hope this continues.
We are expecting a couple storms over the next few days. This week has actually been lovely. We had summer temps at around 15-20C. The nights and mornings were freezing though. Anyway set to all change again.
Looking forward to a nice evening in with the family. It's game night! Picked up some smoked Ribs and apple cider for later.
This week flew by didn't it!!!

I'm glad you are enjoying it...I know I would be! I think I'll just move in to your house - you have way more fun decs than I do & then I don't have to get mine out!
Miss Gracie is good! She's acting totally normal & crazy other than she is having an issue at night - actually it's usually really early in the morning - I think she is so sound asleep & she tinkles in her sleep! I'm not sure what's going on with that! I'll have to start letting her out early, early in the morning & see if that helps. They were worried about her losing weight on this new food - well actually she has gained a couple lbs & she acts like she is starving. She eats 3 1/2 cups a day & she's always rooting for more food. There isn't much protein in this food, so I'm assuming that's why. They may have to try something different if they can! But she's a happy girl!!!

Glad to hear that Gracie is doing great!! That is awesome!
Regarding than her minor issue- have you talked to her vet? Maybe they'd have some advice.
