Christmas Countdown - 2015

Morning all, it's Monday again. Deep breath and here we go again. Have a good one folks and remember, its October!

Good Morning, Folks.
A new week has dawned, casting light on our progress through the rolling year and onward to Christmas Season 2015.

To illuminate:
Days to Halloween: 19 (We've dropped below 20!)
Days to the Season: 32 (ONE MONTH FROM TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 74 (Barely over 10 1/2 weeks!)

(Our close proximity to the looming Holiday Season is becoming downright frightening!)

Coolish yesterday, but dry with plenty of sun.
Today should be clear as well, with a slight chance of rain tomorrow.
This first-morning-of-the-new-week has begun here at 54 crisp, sunny degrees.

My youngest's birthday is on Wednesday. I can't believe he will be 4!! I guess I need to stop referring to him as the baby.

Feeling somewhat blah today so I am having an easy day just catching up with house work and wrapping my sons birthday presents etc. I hope you are all off to a good start and the rest of the week goes how you want it.

I forgot to tell you guys. Over the weekend I saw three christmas ads! One for Disneyland, another for a sofa company and another for a toy shop promotion. I can't wait for the proper ads to start!

I happened upon SEARS and saw signs for the Canadian Black Friday - just my luck, the work out shoes I bought were not on sale. Had the young saleslady laughing at my half-sprints around the display shelves. I smiled at every glimpse of Christmas - almost bought a winter scene top, but it was too big and so were the other tops and pants I picked out to try on and then I was too tired to go back and look for smaller sizes. I had to buy a belt to keep my pants up. I guess this new work out routine I've designed for myself is working. I left the shoes at the cash so I could have my hands free for browsing and one of the cashiers I'm used to seeing now and then passed by and I said, "I'm looking at items that aren't on my shopping list, I may have to borrow a pen." She laughed. When I cheked out, she said, "Thanks for coming in, it's always so good to see you." I don't know her at all, but I'm the way I am everywhere I go so I usually wind up putting a smile on someone's face. They had Christmas fruitcake on the shelves and some ugly Christmas sweaters.

My husband isn't sick of me yet, but we're watching the Jays game and he's cursing the screen so I'm sneaking on here to catch up a bit. He's ooking dinner tonight (chicken and sweet potatoes) and later I'm making pumpkin spiced fudge for the family gathering.

LOVE IT!!!

I'm glad you liked the soup!! I have 1 serving in the freezer, but we polished off the rest!

He will always be the baby. That's how the youngest in the family is always referred to no matter what age!

It's Saturday! My favourite day of the week! I am in my fluffy bear onsie and I plan on staying in it for the rest of the day! My throat is slightly swollen and scratchy, I am achy and lightheaded. I seem to get over one bug and move straight into some other. Things have been non stop and my husband thinks I'm pushing myself to much. So today I think I need to catch up on rest especially as I am in work tomorrow.

Oh forgot to mention Mr Festive brought the biggest pumpkin yesterday! It is so orange and beautiful! I'll have to post a pic.

My MMC/computer woes are apparently caused by our network at work, because I'm having no trouble posting from home on my work laptop. I don't know what's causing the delay at work, but at least they haven't blocked MMC. It would be clobberin' time!

My brother called last night to say that a guy came to his shop while he was tuning up the engine in the Camaro yesterday. The guy was so impressed with the engine that he offered a LARGE sum of money for it. Just the engine. Jim said it was so much money, we could build another, stronger engine and have a lot of money to spare. I told him the make the deal! I'm going over to talk it over with him today.

Good morning, friends! It's been quite sometime since I've posted in the countdown and I haven't posted much on MMC. I've been pretty busy lately though. It's going to be that way for a few months, so I'm not sure how long I'll be "away", but I do need to get back in the habit and try to check in at least daily on my phone.

A week or so back, I accepted a new job. Officially on November 15th, I'll be a nurse in the ER and ICU. I love working as an OB nurse, but I wanted to expand my horizons and this will for sure. I occasionally work in these departments and love it. I'll still work on OB on my weekends, until May and then one of my co-workers is leaving, so I'll be working in the ER and ICU all the time. I have three different certification test to take over the next few months and will be studying for those, plus have a lot to do for orientation, so a long with all of that and of course my busy schedule with my kids, I just haven't been able to stop in like I would like to.

This is my weekend off, so I intend to read a little today, as we sit and watch some spooky cartoons! Hope all is well with you guys! I think of you all often and pray for you all as well! Miss you all! God Bless!
