Hi all-I'm FINALLY on vacation with my wonderful husband for our anniversary trip! We'll get away at some point this weekend to the mountains. CANNOT WAIT.

Wow, you guys were chatty today, another 200+ posts I got caught up on.
Today was day #3 of 6 in a row and it feels like it should be at least day #5. It has been a rough week for some reason, I can't blame it on the turkeys yet.
I am watching the Bruins vs Flyers game, and I learned they played the last game the NHL played on Christmas Day 44 years ago. I think it's great they get Christmas off, and have for so long. Our first few Christmas gifts came in today, so Christmas shopping has been officially started for us.

I am going to head to sleep soon, so....

Good Morning Happy Christmas People!
Another busy day ahead. I haven't stopped by in quite awhile and it is always nice to come back and get a dose of Christmas/holiday spirit!
While being busy with this and that, I have been entertaining the thought of making some Christmas cards and I want to start on that today. I am so excited, I just wish I had like five more hours in the day. I hope everyone is having a great Thursday so far!

I start watching Hallmark Christmas movies on the night of October 31st, after the trick-or-treating is done. My TV rarely leaves Hallmark, or the Hallmark movie Channel for the next couple of months, with the exception of watching Christmas movies or specials on other channels!

I actually was planning on starting November 1 also...gives you 2 full months to watch as many as possible.

Me too. There are quite a few seasonal movies I want to watch within the next few days.

Well movies24 will switch to Christmas24 from Nov 01st and that is usually my GO signal!. I love having it on in the background even if I can't watch. I sort of gradually build up my viewing as the weeks go by. I save the favourites till end of Nov/Dec though after my tree and decorations are up.

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Approachers.

And not only are we approaching the Weekend, we are getting perilously close to the beginning of the Holiday Season, starting with Halloween.

Let's check on today's numbers:
Days to Halloween: 9 (ONE WEEK from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 64 (Nine weeks from tomorrow!)
Closing in!

It continues to get gradually warmer by the day, which is a nice surprise considering we are nearing the first of November. Hope this holds!
We have started off things this morning at 46 degrees here in central North Carolina.

Almost mid day here. I am off to a great start. My local Tesco sent me a free goodie bag from their fresh bakery along with my weekly shop this morning. Included is a freshly baked loaf of Tiger bread. I am going to make beef stew to go with it tonight.

Now to get some work done...

Maggie only woke up me once. I also had to jump out of bed to grab Sophia when she climbed to the top of the curtains. Crazy cat does that often. Otherwise, it was a pretty good night

It's going to another mild day, sun & clouds with a high of 72 degrees. Nice day for a walk. Maggie's stroller came, I'll try and post pictures later. No appointments today, so happy about that! I just have to run to the supermarket to pick up a few portobello mushrooms, I'm making chicken cacciatore for dinner.

** TRAVEL ALERT **

The Crowns are headed for the coast, probably for the last time this year, to check on the cottage/get it winterized.
We are leaving very Saturday, so a countdown volunteer will be needed for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
How about it, Folks? Anyone interested?

Good Thursday Morning MMC! It's currently 54 degrees with mostly clear skies. We are expecting a high temperature of 74 degrees under partly sunny skies. Another warm and mild mid-late October Day. We are expected to chill down back to normal type late October weather by Friday going on in to the weekend.
Hard to believe it's already Thursday this week but I guess that's what happens when you have Monday off. I hope everyone's week is going ok. We have to finish it strong these next 2 days. Think about 5 weeks from right now how we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and the full onslaught of the holiday season. Amazing but I'm definitely looking forward to watching a bunch more Halloween shows here the next couple of weeks before we approach November 13th. I'm thinking maybe that should be the day from on now that I start making the turn to Christmas shows. When do you guys start watching?

Truth! I am especially crazy about the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel =]
My Mom always watched those old mystery shows, and now I love them too. And I even convinced her to upgrade so she could have that channel, too!
