I would like to hold off on snow till December...let it snow a few times for Christmas and then disappear in Jan. Not likely though!

That's my ideal winter, too ... ain't gonna happen that way, though ...

I know I'm in the minority but I wish it would start snowing Oct 1 and us not see the ground until late March.

I would love to help by sending you all the snow we get after January 1! I'm timid about driving in the stuff, and I don't have the muscles to shovel adequately. I'm glad Mr. is able to shovel, and we have a friend who comes by to plow our driveway.

How long the journey has been -- how short the remaining wait!

Days to Halloween: 4 (Wow! Barely over HALF A WEEK off!)
Days to the Season: 17 (Now UNDER 2 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 59 (Down into the FIFTIES!)

The journey begins to reach the end!


A tad chilly here yesterday, with a touch of late morning sprinkles.
Rain fell overnight with a light sprinkle this morning and more to come today and for the next two.
This morning has commenced at 53 degrees under a threatening sky.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Chilly, rainy day here. Going up to about 59 today. I like it! Preparing for the Halloween parties here Saturday and Sunday. It's always an excuse to get the place cleaned up. I have Choir practice this evening and I'll be glad when we start working on Christmas music! Have a Great day friends!

Good morning, everyone!

I had a nice day off yesterday. I am back at Russell today. It should be somewhat of a busy week. My work schedule is still open, but my dad is in town until Friday. He will probably keep me busy when I am not teaching. I haven't seen him since early May, so it should be a fun few days.

Aside from teaching a full day of Gym today (Hooray!), I have dodgeball and hockey tonight. It is my first year playing competitive dodgeball. Thus far, it has been really fun. Difficult at times, but super fun. Also, my dad will be coming to my hockey game. I don't think he has seen me play in about four or five years. Hopefully I haven't gotten worse!

Returning to yesterday, I went out and took plenty of photos for the Christmas Blossoms thread. It was a very exciting day. I even found a new store fully decked out in Christmas - a store that I have never photographed before! Although I would love to have those photos up today, I think they will have to wait until tomorrow or Thursday. I won't have time until then... Hopefully the Blossoms thread continues to bud until then!

Well, have a great Tuesday, everyone! The final week of October is already flying by!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Jacob and Elizabeth are in a school production this evening. It's a one-act play, and it's part of a statewide competition, but tonight is about a dinner theater / fund-raiser for the program. It should be fun! The competition starts Thursday at a school about a hour away.

Mom's home from the mountains, for a while anyway, so she's coming to the show with us tonight.

Afternoon all,
Another beautiful autumn day here. I took the kids for a long walk after their haircuts. The leaf fall is at it's peak now.

Spoke to mum when we got back. She now has two more new additions to the family. A few months ago she took in a stray kitten that showed up at the house. Last week she came across two kittens abandoned and took them in. She now has six cats! Makes me miss home. It's always somewhat of a zoo!

Something that SiriusXM never mentions on their holiday page is 'Radio Classics' Channel 148. In Season host Greg Bell provides Old Time Radio (OTR) Christmas programming. Usually this starts Thanksgiving weekend and goes to the end of the year.

Bell posts his schedule on a weekly basis so check back often beginning the week of Thanksgiving (US). Check now for Halloween shows! Then a few Thanksgiving shows will air.

Afternoon all, hope you are all having a lovely Tuesday. Just one more week til I no longer work from home but that's great for me as I go from spending only friday through to monday with my little boy to having nearly all week with him Also had my 20 week baby scan this morning all is fine and we now can't wait to find out what the sex of the baby is

Thanks for the info!! I hope you get your snow soon! I just looked at our (VERY) extended forecast on accuweather & it shows the 1st chance of "wintery precip" is not until Nov. 25th. I remember last year our 1st snow was Oct. 31st! Have a great day mgramsey!

Send it on. We live on the side of a mountain so when it snows, we have to park at the bottom and walk up. I love it, the wife not so much.

Thanks for the hugs for Har! She'll need them, she was at the groomer's this morning. Unlike Gracie, she doesn't like to go so much. Poor thing gets pretty nervous.
