[Festive Spirit]

Hey all,
How's it going? I really want to catch up with the posts but the kids are keeping me busy. We had tacos for dinner and then a Halloween picnic with some spooky treats while we watched some Halloween specials. Mr Festive surprised us and came home early from work!

I'm letting the kids stay up a little later than usual but after they go down, we will watch a movie. Not sure which one yet. We are having a really good day.

Ok well enjoy the rest of the day. Feels a little like Christmas eve

Had to come back here to admit what a fool I am. Ha ha! This hit me about 2 hours later while I was out running around but George was known for playing the ukulele, not the banjo!!! *note to self - stop commenting on things until you finish ALL of your coffee*!!!

Not so foolish! There is such an instrument as a "banjolele"---it's fingered and played like a ukulele, but looks and sounds like a small banjo. Is that what George played? If so, you were honestly confused!

Trivia: Another British George was famous for playing the uke and the banjolele---George Formby, in the 1930s and 1940s. Check him out on YouTube! His forte was singing very cheerful, rather naughty songs!

I ask myself that also. How are we on the verge of Halloween? Feels like we just hit Labor Day last week...it's ok though we still have Halloween weekend and then the final build to the season to go before things get 100% Christmas crazy.
