Well absoloutely no sign of Halloween at the shops so I didn't score any bargains. Not even a lone bag of candy. However thres of the shops had sections closed off as they expanded with Christmas and arranged displays!!!!!!!!!!! It looks bigger with much more than they had in years!!!! I can't wait to see it all!

A couple people were discussing and buying tree decorations! Love it!!!!

The world is slowly catching up to us this time of year.

My mom is going to teach me how to crochet at Christmas. I'm looking forward to it! We don't have cats yet, so that isn't an issue for us, but I love cats--and your story made me laugh! Don't let the cats stop you! Go to the craft store and get one of those thingies that holds several skeins of yarn and has holes above each one to let the yarn come through. That may stop the skeins or balls from rolling around, remove some of the attraction for the cats!

Just a quick hello, I'm heading out soon to run a few errands. I feel like I'm already behind schedule today. I had to drive my middle one to the train station earlier, she has job training in the city for the next few days. She texted me a little while ago to let me know she made it there safe and sound. I'm a nervous wreck because she's traveling to and from by herself. Thankfully it all went well. I'm glad my kids aren't scaredy cats like I am. I had the Sirius Christmas stations on in the car this morning, it makes me so happy! Well I've got to run, I'll be back later. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! It is currently 43 degrees under sunny skies. We are expecting a forecast high temperature of 71 degrees with sunny skies. Sounds more like late September weather huh?
I started practicing last night typing up some ideas for the "special post" I'm doing Sunday. I actually think someone gave great advice on here saying just do it from your inside and what it means to you and it'll turn out good. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Anyway, it's Tuesday and Election Day. Any shot we can vote Santa for President? Think about how awesome the country and the world would become if he could run everything? Anyway, another busy day at work ahead and that's a GOOD thing!

Days to the Season:: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS TOMORROW!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 23 (TWO WEEKS from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 52 (Now under 7 1/2 weeks remain!)

(Gee. Things are starting to get away from us!)


Well, lots and lots of rain here yesterday. A complete wash-out.
Bound to be drier today and perhaps a tad warmer.
We have started out at 61 post-rain drippy degrees here this morning.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm still stoked that Star Trek is coming back to TV!!

Thunderstorms and 73° at daylight this morning. Yuck! But it's supposed to clear up tomorrow, I hope.

I had my second-to-last council meeting last night, and it was a busy one. We're having some trouble with a contractor that we've hired, so we're calling him in to explain himself during the next meeting. Rats. I wanted my last meeting to be light and fun, maybe with some reminiscing. Now it's going to be irritating. LOL Oh, well. I hate to leave a mess for the next mayor, so I'll clean it up before I leave.

Voting day! Since no one qualified against the next mayor, we won't have an election in Bellville, but a couple of the other cities in the county have some hotly contested races. It'll be interesting to see the outcome tonight!

Wooo-Hooo My oldest daughter is coming home for the weekend on the 15th November and she has asked can we decorate the christmas tree...well i was buzzzzing inside and i said well 15th is a bit early right then i burst out in joy and said 'YES'...funny thing is my wife thought it was a good idea too..Maybe she has finally got the christmas buzz like me 'NAAAH'
