Christmas Countdown - 2015

I just wanted to drop in quickly to say hi to everyone. Today I am enjoying my day off by cleaning the house, which is now about done. I will head out to do some shopping and get some groceries, maybe I'll drop by the new Christmas outlet store I spotted in the city center and after I will grade some tests with Christmas music on the back ground.

I will catch up on my reading on here later. I wish you all a great afternoon (or day, depending on where you are)!

Good evening, everyone!

The Season is, indeed, drawing close. Another sign hit me today - you know, aside from being less than 10 days to the Christmas Season tomorrow.

I witnessed my first (two) Christmas commercial(s) of the year a few moments ago!! Arguably, I witnessed a Best Buy Christmas commercial on Saturday night, but it was barely Christmas and only mentioned something about "Holiday" shopping. I'm sure they'll have a more Christmas oriented one shortly.

As for my first commercial, it was the new Coca Cola commercial! Great commercial, much in thanks to having "Baby, Please Come Home" playing in the background. It really brightened my spirits! The second one was for Swiss Chalet, a nationwide chicken-specialty restaurant. It was basically the same as they have had over the past few years.

I haven't had time to look, but I hope you've all seen the Coke commercial already!

I have an old rotary phone. We were cleaning out my wife's grandparents house and my fil was going to toss it in the garbage, and I grabbed and said dibbs.....I love that kind of stuff~

I still have my Grandma's rotary phone. I don't think it works anymore, but I love the look of it!

Well, I took down all my Halloween decorations this evening, but still left some Fall stuff out. Now it's that in between time to gear up for Christmas!!!!

I need to take down Halloween & get Thanksgiving up!! Better hurry cuz my Christmas tree will be going up next in just a couple weeks!!

Happy pines day. Our depressing weather continues with lots of rain and much too warm temps. We finally had a dry day yesterday & are forecast for one today but rain returns Friday & Saturday. Hopefully the rain holds off Friday night. Our county's high school plays the neighboring counties HS for the conference football championship. Most of the county will be there and it would be a shame to have rain mess it up.

Busy, busy, busy! But, always some Christmas music going in the background. Our little girl's vocabulary has just EXPLODED in the last few weeks. She just turned 2 on Saturday and when she says some things, my husband and I scratch our heads and say, "Where did she hear that?" Now and then I am happy to hear her repeat lyrics from the Christmas music we listen to. Her favorite song, by far, is the Burl Ives version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Clause is Coming to Town". I also love it when she says, "Mistletoe". I am creating a future MMC member! LOL!!

Good evening,

It feels so much later than 10:53pm, I guess it is just one of those nights.
Day off tomorrow, you know what that means? I start decorating for Christmas!!!! I am looking forward to breaking out the lights and decorations, but I do it slowly over a few weeks so I don't have to rush to get it all out.
I have been listening to Christmas music when I can, whether it be on Music Choice, Pandora, or SiriusXM, it is great that it is on.

It is Mo-vember, so I am actually growing a beard this year, it is the first time I have tried this. I usually grow a goatee, but I wanted to try something new. I am shocked at how many gray hairs are coming out in the beard. I will not grow a Duck Dynasty/ZZ Top beard, I work with a few people that have those and all I can picture is when they have food stuck in them. That freaks me out.

I will be back tomorrow.

Good morning everyone, Happy Pine's Day!
It's going to be another beautiful day, sunny with temperatures in the upper 60's. I'm going to take Maggie for a nice long walk after I drop my daughter off at the train station. Not too much going on here today. I'm going to take a ride to Target at some point to pick up a few things. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house. If I have a few minutes to myself I would like to do some online Christmas shopping. I finished the girls list and I have to start chipping away at it. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good Morning MMC!

Not caught up and popping in just briefly--was out late last night with my first rehearsal with our city's pops orchestra! I'm subbing in for their Veterans' Day concert. It's kind of cool that a great band wants me to play with them, even just for a concert for right now.

Off to work in just a few. I'm looking forward to the weekend already, but I have to work Sunday again. Between now and Christmas, I'll be working over hours on different days, so I'll be readjusting my schedule to get that time off! I'm super tired today. Hope I can stay awake!
