Well, I am almost outa here for the week! I stopped at the lake last night & we still have water, so if it's still on tonight we may be able to squeeze one more lake weekend in!! Tomorrow is my future nieces shower & bachelorette party. The Buckeyes have a night game. Sunday is my oldest sisters/bil 40th wedding anniversary surprise open house. I have some food to make for that - Appetizer Ham/Turkey Sandwiches & I'm going to try a new Pinterest recipe too:

I think they look delish...IF mine turn out like that. LOL!

Just stopping in for a quick hello! I'm at Russell again today. It's been quite the day thus far. I love teaching, but like everyone else, I am excited for the weekend!

Weather-wise we are unseasonably warm in Ottawa. Temperatures are forecasted to reach into the low 20s/70s with humidex. Yes, humidex. In Canada. In November. Impressive. The only real downfall is that we have a bit of wind and rain today. If only that sun were shining, who knows how warm we could get?!

Well, the bell is about to ring for lunch. I'm quite hungry! I hope you all have been enjoying your day! And, of course, I hope you're all smiling as wide as me right now while you're thinking about the beginning of the Christmas Season a week from today!

Hello everyone.

Well, this weekend will be busy. I'm almost done with my masters degree but first I must take a comprehensive exam (open book, thankfully but full of 2,000 word essay responses), and finish a major research proposal. Oh, and a ten page paper but I'm not overly worried about that one. So, this weekend I'm locking myself in the house and will work to complete it. My wife is taking the kids to her parents some, and I'll miss them, but they'll be home in the evenings. Still, we love our weekend time together but it will all be over soon!

This is how busy I am: I'm missing the opening weekend of the new Bond film! I'm ashamed of myself. I've seen everyone opening weekend since 1995's Goldeneye.
But there's a light at the end of this tunnel and I'm almost finished with school forever!

Happy Friday, all! Well, when I get home today I am going to get the last of the Halloween stuff put away, so that I can (TAA-DAA!) start putting up Christmas stuff. Yay!

YAY MerryBells!!!! I'm cleaning to try and get things ready for decorating in a few weeks!!! My husband's more of a purist and wants to wait until Thanksgiving. Enjoy!!!

Busy day especially with my youngest not well. I was able to take down and put away all the Halloween decorations. The shelves are bare but only a few more days till christmas fills them up Hope your Friday is going well.

We have light strings (colored) around two of our living room windows! It's lovely! I can't wait for more lights. It really helps brighten up the dark evenings!

Cleaining is in full force this afternoon! Lots of recycling papers and making room in our apartment for our Christmas tree and decorations!! Amazing how much can accumulate over just one year...I'm in a MAJOR clean out mode! Simplify, simplify!

Went to the Christmas Tree Shop to look around. They're pretty much in full Christmas mode! I went mostly to browse and enjoy the atmosphere, but wound up buying a few new decorations and some shortbread cookies.
