Good Evening, friend~Good evening everyone.
Hope you are all well?
Got a date today for surgery and I'm glad it's before Christmas.
We have a storm forcasted for tonight and tomorrow and the winds have picked up already.
We love having you all here! This warms my heart. I feel the same joy finding this family. In a rough time when i was diagnosed with a tumor Hollybow came in my life and she introduced me to Christmas talk. I'm very great full for MMC taking us all in! Thank you for keeping that in mind for me, it means a lot.
Thank you Crown. Thanks, Ryan for your excellent post.

Thank you for your wonderful post, Christmasstar!!Special Post Day 3
Christmas is a time for miracles.
It is a time of giving and receiving.
The greatest miracle and gift came in the form of a tiny baby wrapped in a blanket, born in a barn, a dirty smelly barn.
His birth announcement came in the form of a group of angels telling shepherds who were just doing their job looking after the sheep.
These shepherds left their sheep sleeping on the hill and ran into Bethlehem, looking in every stable and barn to see if what they heard was really ture. I am sure they also wondered what they were doing, they left their sheep unprotected, babies aren't born in barns and maybe they were just plain seeing things, too much wine before bed maybe. But they felt compelled to look and soon they found Him just as the angel said !! There really was a baby born in this barn !
Today we still look into a barn to see the baby Jesus and marvel that he came down to earth this way.
This Christmas story has been a part of my life since I was very little. Every Christmas morning Dad would read it to us. I can still hear his deep voice telling it. He had a way of telling a story that left you feeling like you were there too.
So never stop marvelling at miracles or stop giving to others. You will be more blessed than the one who receives.
May the miracle of Christmas, past and present live in your heart forever.
do you have a library ? Ours has free wifi and you can bring your own laptop or other device in and hook up during open hours. When we did not have it here wee would head down there often to use it. It might be warmer.
my mom used to put garland all over the house at Christmas, she only put it on the top of things but it always looked very pretty.Last year I dressed up the top of my spinet piano, and found a place to put Santa's Quartet, which hadn't been out for a couple years, so the front of the house near the Christmas tree was festive. I have to clear off the piano so it can be tuned Saturday morning---I'll probably just put the Christmas stuff out after that! I also have a "peppermints" afghan to put on the back of the sofa.
I have fantasies of buying yards and yards of holly garland or lighted garland and putting it up around picture frames, bookcases, etc. like they did in the olden days. But I can't really invest in that just now.
