Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We finally got home after taking the kids to the State competition for their one-act play. They didn't place, but they did a great job! We were up at 5am getting ready, then we had to drive straight from there (3 hours) to Elizabeth's Nutcracker rehearsal. I finally got home at 9:30 last night. Whew!

The Nutcracker opens tomorrow night!

Good Thursday Morning MMC! It's a mild 56 degrees under cloudy skies today with a high temperature expected to be 62 with rain. Eh I'll take a mild rainy day for once. We could use the rain because this summer and fall we've had very little.
I was just thinking about how Thursdays are gonna be "not normal" coming up. Obviously next Thursday (Thanksgiving) but also for me Dec 10 I have my work Christmas party, the following Thursday 17th I have my final exam, obviously the Thursday after that I think I don't have to explain what that is lol just the best day of the entire year (Christmas Eve) and the following Thursday New Years Eve...so yeah Thursdays are going to be anything but boring here pretty much the rest of the year.
I hope you guys all have a great Thursday and think about what's about to come here...take it all in guys!

Merry afternoon,
Just got back in. The weather is horrible. Storms and arctic gales sweeping through. However there is something quite cosy and comforting about returning home out of the cold and wet especially when you can switch on some fairy lights and christmas music!

You are right ~ it's so comfy cozy when you get inside after being out in that weather! Hope you can stay inside now safe 'n cozy!

Good Morning MMC!! Happy Friday Eve and Milestone Day! How is the time flying by so fast...I want it to slow down! Pretty busy day at work today. I have 5 conference calls..ugh but my plan is to listen to Christmas music in between them. I woke up with a bit of a headache, I think due to the rain we are supposed to get so I am going to pop an advil and have another cup of coffee.

LOL Claxton is my home town! I went to Claxton High School, and we lived in Claxton until Nancy and I moved to nearby Bellville. The owners of Claxton Fruitcake live in Bellville, too.

My mom said she's seen it for sale in the PX when dad was stationed in Germany, too.

Don't worry, though; no offense is taken. No one around here eats that stuff, either!

Good morning MMC!!! Happy Friday Eve! WOOT! Hope everyone's day has started off GREAT!
My bro & sil made it home safe from Cape Cod! So awesome to see them! I haven't seen her since Christmas & him since March when Dad passed away! That's much too long! Last night the weather was too nasty for pizza's on the grill & a bonfire, but we got together at my brothers - I made a pizza in my oven at home in a cast iron pizza pan (to keep it hot) before I went over, my bro/sil made several pizza's in their oven & my sis/bil picked up a couple pizza's from the quick stop - all delicious! The Grandkids were running around like crazy little nut jobs (LOL) ~ they had a blast! So cute!

That's about it from me today. This is actually my Friday since I'm of tomorrow to "pick chicken" for the wedding! Gracie has her apt tomorrow morning at 8:30 too - nervous!
