Christmas Countdown - 2015

Hey MMC! Waiting on my pizza crust to raise so I can finish up supper - making a new recipe using Thanksgiving leftovers - it's Rachael Ray's Thanksgiving Stromboli with turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, cheese & gravy...we'll see how this turns out. Total experiment! LOL!! Hope you are all having a fabulous night!

Happy December 1st, everyone!! Hard to believe that it's here already. Man time flies when you want it to slow so you can enjoy it. New lights for our real tree should be in tomorrow so we can get that decorated and that should finish our decorating. I am in charge of putting up the Nativity scene outside at our church this year and I am so excited to do it. I had seen it for years growing up, but the last couple of years it wasn't put up. I asked about it and I was told that no one had asked/volunteered to put it up, so last year I said that I'm going to do it! I have missed the scene. Our church has merged with another one this year and have become a new church, so things have been very hectic and emotional, but it's very exciting to see where we can go with our new congregation. I have become very active in church this year and it has helped me immensely both emotionally and spiritually, especially with everything that has happened in my life that past few years. I can't express enough how excited I am that December is finally here!! Hope everyone has a safe and joyous day!!! IT'S DECEMBER!!!!!!

Good morning MMC! It's a rainy ol morning here! Chilly & dreary...and I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. I woke up this morning & took Theraflu. Hopefully that will kick in & kick out this cold! Last night I got the sun room tree up. There are no lights or decorations on it, but it's up. Our internet went out at home last night - not sure what's up with that. I'll have to check it at lunch. Anyway....have a great day gang!!!

Happy December my MMC Friends! Not up too much just working and I am hoping to finish up my shopping this weekend for my oldest daughter.

We got some bad news this past Friday...my SIL was diagnosed with breast cancer..she is only 44. The Drs are recommending a double mastectomy due to family history. My MIL had a double mastectomy at 42 and her mother had breast cancer several times in the 60's and 70's and passed away when she was only in her late 50's. So she is meeting with the surgery team on the 8th to go over everything. If you could keep her in your prayers/thoughts...I would appreciate it.

Hope everyone has a great day and we are excited for Rudolph tonight!

I am listening to Kringle radio! It doesn't usually play for me but it is today. I am making sure I have a christmassy day today as things have been so hectic. There was a film on my mind that I have been wanting to see but I coudn't remember the title so couldn't quite search for it. Anyway as luck would have it I came across it in the TV guide today and it's on tonight. The Snowbride I need a light hearted comedy after watching Christmas in Conway and sobbed almost all the way through LOL !
