[Holiday]

So glad tomorrow is Friday! I had a LOVELY day off...but I'm feeling a little under the weather now. :\ Drinking cold care tea and hoping it's nothing!!

Hope you all had wonderful days today. One week! One week from now I'll be leaving one church service with my family and getting ready for Christmas dinner. WOW. Let's make the best of it, folks!!

Reminds me of the first Christmas my brother was in Switzerland and didn't make it home. He's only missed two Christmases, once he accepted an invitation to celebrate in Cuba instead of with us. So many of our cousins live far out of town now and don't return for Christmas since their mom passed away. One year, my parents decided to go spend it with my brother (after my dad's battle with cancer, they wanted to have a quiet Christmas with less traffic). I love traditions and for me it involves the same faces around the snack table, decorated tree and fireplace. I'm sure it will still be a merry time; just different.

Thank you AMD!! It will be good, just different!

Not too much going on here today. I woke up with a headache so I think me & Maggie will be heading back to bed for a little bit. My husbands company Christmas party is this evening so I need to rest and pull myself together!

What we have reached is the ONE WEEK MARK!!
Yes, Folks, Christmas Day arrives precisely ONE week from today.

(Better start rushing those plans to completion, eh?)

The good weather. It was miserably chilly and rainy all day yesterday. To top it all off, I got a flat tire. Thank goodness someone got me a portable, battery-powered tire inflator for my birthday this year and I was soon back on the road.
The temp this morning is 54 degrees. It's damp but there's no rain in sight.
Frigid temps are expected soon!

Good Friday Morning MMC! The LAST Friday before Christmas? Holy moly. How did that happen? Anyway, I got through my exam last night and now I'm free from homework for 32 days. Thank goodness. Not sure I did so good on the test but I would say it was a little less ridiculously hard than I expected. That's some kind of silver-lining. I've done well with my wrapping and should have everything wrapped by the end of the weekend. I am going to go food shopping Saturday to get a bunch of stuff we need for Christmas Eve dinner. Lots to do this weekend but it's almost all fun stuff.
Have a great TGIF! Next week TGIF will be TGIC(hristmas)!

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday!!! I still have a lot to do to get ready for house hopping tonight. I have most of the food started. Still need to stuff the mushrooms, cut the middle out of the bread & dump the cheese filling in (will bake both tonight right before they come) the queso dip just needs to be turned on (crock pot) - oh & I need to put the candy tray together & if I have time I might make a candy cane shaped pastry dessert. Spiced pecans & seasoned pretzels are ready to roll, just need to put them in a bowl. But the worst part is I still have plenty of cleaning to do. YUCK! I would rather just keep cooking. LOL
