My husband and I haven't bought each other gifts the last few years because we give to others and on Boxing Day or shortly thereafter we go out and buy what we wished for, but didn't receive. Well, he was going on about not knowing what to wear and wishing he had a warm top that was dressy, yet casual so he could wear his black jeans instead of dress pants. So, I caved early and gave him his surprise Christmas gift. He's quite pleased with it; I love it, it's warm and snuggly and the material feels like icing sugar. So, he ventured off in search of something for me. I told him I only wanted a gift card for David's Tea so I could go and pick out what I want. He doesn't know that I have two other gifts wrapped up for him.

My brother isn't arriving until tomorrow morning and wants me to chauffeur him around so he can finish his shopping. I'm glad I'm finished my shopping and I can just watch the frenzy without worry.

I had Christmas music playing while I wrapped gifts yesterday and this morning and while I was making fudge.
Sounds like Christmas is in full swing there with gifts being exchanged and last-minute shopping!

I have a belief that if you play Christmas music while you're wrapping gifts or making Christmas treats, that some of the spirit of the music enters the gifts and treats.

And by the way, you're making me crave fudge ...

Our gathering takes place in my parents home. I just made two batches of different flavoured fudge. One is candied fudge with a hint of pumpkin and cinnamon spices with candied gumdrops and the other kind is chocolate caramel - my husband's favourite. I'm also on dip duty so I picked up all the things that can be dipped to go along with my creamy salsa dip and my country style dip for the Christmas Eve visitors. I use the centre of a round pumpernickle loaf to serve the country style dip in and have a "Norman Rockwell" style serving platter for the treats.

I picked up the Peanuts holiday disposable plates; I couldn't resist them.

There's so much fudge, I've decided to pack up a few in festive boxes to pass out to the guests who help light the annual luminaries along withsome Christmas cookies in festive zipped bags.

Enjoy your vacation and your Christmas festivities.
The fudge sounds divine!!
Have a wonderful time, friend.
Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve, my Christmas friends!

I've been working like crazy around here, trying to get comfortable with being out next week. Things almost never hit the fan until I'm on vacation. LOL

We had the Bernie's Store party last night, and had a blast!! Bernie makes the BEST 1/2 lb. cheeseburger (he calls it the Bernie Burger) in the state! I blew my beef diet budget for the quarter, but it was worth it LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Glad you had a great time last night!
I'm sure those cheeseburgers are amazing!
Have a Merry Christmas Eve Eve!! :)

Watched it last night and my husband was pretending he didn't know what it was and kept talking about Miracle on 34th Street and after a few minutes of mixing up characters I realized he was just trying to "get under my merry skin". He loves to toy with my mind this time of year.
:march:

Trying to be a funny guy, 'eh? ;)

Listening to Kringle Radio this morning and thoroughly enjoying it! The wide range of music styles, and the news breaks!

I've found quite a few song I never knew existed and found I really like by listening to Kringle Radio! The variety plus the news updates always gets me excited!! Even more so this year with being able to contribute to the event!

I agree! I've been annoyed in the past week by "Before Christmas After-Christmas" sales! C'mon, let the day pass first!
Agreed!
It's hard enough to "say goodbye" for another year, when it is actually time :(

Thank God we have each other to celebrate every day!

Agreed! It's a great broadcast, and thrilling to be a part of it. I think I've heard some of your voices this morning. Well done!

My workplace is tuning in later because I told him I'd be giving them a shout-out. I took today as a vacation day, 'cause I'm at the studio, see? :D

You said it. I'm already dreading "the day after"! Don't call it over before it happens!!

I'm so tuned into Christmas from about July on---working on our YuleTube DVD and planning playlists for the Santa Tracking broadcast and other Christmas planning---that I usually land hard when Christmas is yanked out from under me on the 26th. Here at MMC is a bunch who understand that feeling. I'm glad that Christmas is a Friday this year, so I can keep Christmas going for two more days before going back to work.

I took these two weeks off so hopefully I can fight off the depression of Christmas being over by visiting everyone here. I too land pretty hard afterwards, but hopefully, if Jeff will have me back, planning for next years broadcast will help.

Know you dont know me but all thorugh the year I come here reading the count down at times. Every year I feel sad when its here and almost over with. Anyways atleast you guys help ease that pain. Its strange how my brother can be like blah its over with. I will try to enjoy it until its over with and get ready for the long year. maybe its the christmas presence i miss? maybe it's fall? maybe its because football is starting in the fall and the first sign its actually close to me anyways? maybe it's hunting season starts? maybe because i love the spirit i see in my nieces and nephews with excitmenet? Maybe because its all of the above.

Brad can you send me a Bernie burger for Christmas next year? PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSE :).

I notice people on here already feeling bad about it being "over" soon. Hey don't feel bad guys. It's not even here yet! We have to enjoy it...as much as we possibly can. Sure it'll be over eventually but let's enjoy the moment...the best moments of the year which we all know are these next 2 days coming up. I feel like a football coach giving a bad pep talk to his players lol.
Anyway hope you are all having a great Xmas EVE EVE...soon I will be going home and be preparing for Christmas Eve and Day!

Mr. and I are already talking about playlists for next Christmas, too! I think I'll have to start earlier in 2016.

Well, we'll all get through the PCBs together, as always. But that hasn't happened yet! There's a lot of Christmas to enjoy before then!
