Great pic!

Morning MMC! We are predicted to get 2-4 inches of snow in my area. Not terrible but enough to just cover up on the inch we got yesterday. It's going to be a cold weekend with highs in the 20s. A good weekend to hibernate, watch NFL football, have some good food and relax a bit. That's one good thing about January is these weekends can be quieter for the most part than the last few months of the holiday season. But I hope everyone here has a great Saturday and 1st full weekend of 2017!

Good Morning, Super Season Supporters!

Proceeding right along now, we find ourselves at the threshhold of a SINGLE DIGIT count to our first Milestone of 2017.

Days to the Season: 310
Days to Christmas Day: 352

And as an actual matter of fact, we will be at single digits to that marker as of TOMORROW, that point being the 300-day Season Window and the start of a 200's range Season count.
(Well. I feel better about being iced in, now!)

And iced in we are, after an overnight sleet fall. The predicted heavy snow did not materialize over night but it's still very overcast and we could get some yet.
What we did get was about an inch or so of sleet. (Fortunately, it is the weekend and there will be few folks on the road to get into accidents.)
Our temperature is currently 27 degrees but that's nothing compared to what is in store for us tonight and especially Sunday night, when we are predicted to get down to a bone-chilling 6 degrees.

Regardless, you have a Sensational Saturday and a Wondrous Weekend, Everybody!
(If we don't loose power, I will be enjoying the NFL playoff games starting late this afternoon!)

Thxs Crown!! Hopefully they dont insulate your roads with sand like NC DOT is famous for.

Good Morning!!! Snow started falling here a couple hours ago and there a slight coating of snow covering everything. We are expecting 2 to 4 inches but its the light fluffy stuff ...not good for snowball fights or a snowman However its still a perfect day for coffee, hot chocolate for the kids and homemade pizza :)

Have a great day!

Good morning to everyone at MMC!

We're getting a blizzard today up to 20 inches....grrrrrrr:mad:

But if you want to see how much snow I get you can watch it live here....blizzard cam

That black and white pole in the picture is a snow stick. 36" high with 1" intervals.

My back is hurting already just thinking about shoveling all of it.:(

A beautiful 6 inches of powdery snow has already fallen here, and it's still snowing! Glad I left my tree up until yesterday's 12th day of Christmas. :) It's certainly gorgeous up with the snow falling outside! Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend, regardless of your snow totals!

Thanks Crown! Hibernate this weekend!

Good Morning from the frigid north!!! I woke up to a temp of -2 and we've only made it up to 1 right now. I don't see us hitting the 14 degrees they say we will. Not much going on here today. Just going to do some cleaning and make some banana bread. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Last night when I drove home from work there were still quite a few homes with decorations still up. Not just lights but Santas, yard animals, blow up displays, etc. I imagine as this weekend winds down that a lot of that stuff will come down for the majority of people. We'll see. I'm still enjoying Christmas. Last night I watched Scrooged and just reflected on what the nights felt like during December. I remember rushing home from work so I can catch the beginning of whatever 9 oclock movie was showing. So I'm kind of just re-living that for a few nights now that I'm back at work.

Looks like a snowy day today. Still on track for maybe 4 inches of snow. Took Rollins out and was surprised he was running around in it having fun. Nitro hated the snow with a passion. Rollins looked at it as a game and trying to catch the snow in his mouth. Well looks like a day to just chill out at home...a rare quiet afternoon. Going to put on a Christmas show now.

Tonight was the service for Mike's cousin. I pray no one ever has to endure what they have. A cause of death is known but now they need to know why she did it and how she knew what to do. It was very sad especially seeing all her friends from cheerleading. I just pray her friends never feel the way she felt. What's most upsetting is that they couldn't get an appt for her until after the holidays due to things being booked or closed.
My heart aches for you and your family.

I hope that sleet gets cleared away for you soon.

Snow here today---depending on who you consult, looks like six inches or more expected---light and powdery.
We're planning on just staying put today. I'm deciding whether to start un-decorating the trees today or tomorrow. I planned on starting today, but I've had a long bookkeeping session, and it's time to eat.

We wound up with almost entirely sleet. About an inch worth. The afternoon sun is melting it some but we are staying in the 20's for highs today, tomorrow and Monday and will be facing black ice the next two mornings. But all in all, not a particularly severe event.
Temps near zero for the next two nights, though!

Lol..I am in denial Merry so I wont take nothing down yet. I had previously taken down 1 tree but it has since been put back up due to decoration logistics (which is just me being in denial..lol). Those lights still twinkle, the balls still shine if only I could make it Christmas all the time...
