Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Sunday morning everyone! I was up at 6am, that's just not right for a Sunday off. Oh well, got laundry started and will get chores done early. David did the grocery shopping yesterday while I had to be at work, so that's a big thing out of the way for today. Wishing all a wonderful end to the weekend!

Rollins woke me up at 6:30 wanting to play but I normally don't get up past 7 anyway even on the weekend. Have a great day!
 
Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Looks like another beautiful day here with temperatures near 60 degrees under sunshine. Is this really still February? Our local weatherman said we will not see normal temperatures until the last couple of days of February into early March. At least by then "normal" won't be as cold as it was in January. Have a great Sunday!

And things are starting to get crazy around here as we realize that we are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone point.

First, this morning's numbers:
Days to the Season: 267
Days to Christmas Day: 309

As Jackie Gleason used to say, "How sweet it is!"
Down to just nine -- count 'em -- NINE more days to the 300-day Christmas Day Window, not to mention the start of a double-200's count.
(Wowzerinos!)


The weather?
Astounding.
The reason?
Afternoon temperatures in the low 70's, an abundance of sun, no precipitation, gentle breezes and low humidity.
(It simply doesn't get any better that that around here in February!)
And what should be another great thing about the weather is actually a bit sad. Some of our trees have been fooled by Mother Nature and have begun to bloom. They will pay a price when the cold weather returns.
We observe 52 degrees on our back door thermometer here currently, under a vividly sunny sky.
