Hello everyone.
I have not been on in while so I wanted to stop in and hi.
Things have been busy, crazy and yuck!
My wife was sick last week, then I got sick this week. I went to school and tried to teach Wednesday and Thursday with almost no voice at all. But I did not have much of a choice yesterday because I am the Quiz Team coach and we had a tournament yesterday. So, I decided to take today off. I drove the kids to school and came home. And then around 9:30, the school called because Henry had a 101 fever. So, back to school I went to pick him up.:(

On this past Monday, President's day, my oldest son, Nathan was in a car accident. No one was hurt but the car was totaled. He has court this coming Monday. In Ohio all juveniles who get traffic citations have to appear in court.
Also last weekend, on Saturday, we went to a funeral in Indiana for my wife's aunt. My wife's aunt and her husband(who survived) were in a car crash. The aunt died on the scene and her husband suffered several broken bones in his leg, but nothing life threatening. He did not know his wife had died for several hours.

So, I am ready for February to be done! It has not been the best of months really. But it will all get better.

In happier news, my Quiz Team finished 6-1 and took 2nd place. One of the kids on the team ended up being the highest individual scorer at the tournament. We have one more tournament next Thursday. It is a double elimination tournament with 8 teams.

Well I hope everyone is doing well, and I intend on being on here more often.
Have a great day!
What an awful February you've had! I'm sorry everything you and your family have gone through. How terrible for your wife's uncle. Sending prayers for all of you!

Good afternoon, MMC~

Merry Friday! TGIF!

The snowstorm continues here, and according to the weather reports it's going to continue throughout the day and into the night.

Praying for all of those affected by the weather, illness, or who just need some extra support.

Harlowe is doing pretty well in her recovery, although her stomach has been pretty upset. I'm sure it's a combination of recovering after the anesthesia and her bacterial infection.

I am still swamped at work, but wanted to stop by and say hi.
Thinking of you all.
(((Hugs)))

Good morning MMC ~
Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be cloudy today with a high of around 50 degrees. I walked Maggie, tidied up the house and started laundry so far. I need to get started on breakfast in a few minutes. I'm going shopping with my daughter later today, she ended up accepting a job offer as a CNA in a hospital. She'll be working part time while she goes to school for nursing. We need to get her scrubs and a new stethoscope. She's excited, I hope she loves it. Not too much else going on. I'm making baked raviolis for dinner so I also want to stop for a loaf of Italian bread. That's about it. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Congratulations to your daughter! Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs to you and Maggie. xx

Happy Pines Day!
Well my youngest daughter made it 15 mins of school before I got a call that she was vomiting in the nurse's office. She has the stomach bug again!! She is home resting on the couch but looks so pale. Ugh!
I hope no one else gets it. I am going to disinfect again...
Hope you all have a great day!

I hope your daughter is better now and no one else in the family catches the bug. xx

Thanks for the hugs!!! Hugs back to you & Palmer!!
My fingers are crossed for you too! :)

Wow!! I'm sure the kids were ok with an extra day off!

You're welcome ~ and thank you!
Oh, yes, there were a lot of happy kids. And a few teachers, too. :)
xx

Getting ready for a walk soon with the boys. Took me a few shots of Dayquil and loaded pockets down with tissues. Really hate having a cold.

I hope you are better, soon!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

We spent the evening yesterday working on Bernie's weekend birthday party. He's the best father-in-law I could have asked for, so I don't mind putting in the work for him. He'll be 80 on Sunday, and we've invited the entire local community. It should be a blast!

Bernie's also going with me to the auction tonight, so that'll be fun.

Lunch today with my mom & my brother.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Happy Birthday to Bernie! Hope you have a great day, too!

Praying Harlowe's continues to go well and for safe travels for you!

Merry Friday!

The storms have arrived. Could get severe later on, so I had best get going and tend to a few things. Be safe, everyone!

The last report Snowflake gave me was 15 inches or so.

When I talked to her at 5am they already had 7 inches and were experiencing blizzard conditions.

Then I just heard from her a few minutes ago and she is stuck in her neighborhood on her way to work.

Good Morning, MMC!! Its going to be a nice morning and then they ate saying tornadoes possible this afternoon and then snow tomorrow morning. Talk about crazy. Not to much going on today. Just need to put together the entertainment center I got last night. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Good news, Snowflake is unstuck and made it to work.

Sending up prayers for you and Snowflake as well, be safe Made!

We are supposed to get storms this evening, worst being from 6pm to 1am. Says they are very scattered so not all areas may have storms. I'm ok with being an area that doesn't get storms! They are also saying possibility of hail & tornadoes here too! With the change in temps like that - so fast - I guess about anything is possible. EEK! We are supposed to have snow tomorrow afternoon. But to walk outside right now....sunshine & 65º already this morning. How can it possibly SNOW tomorrow??!
Have a great day made. Stay safe!!! Thanks for the snowflake updates!

Oh my, praying for you as well Holiday. I hope the storms aren't too bad, be safe!

Be safe in the snow.

Good morning, Happy Saturday! I woke up around 5:00am and couldn't fall back asleep. I made myself a cup of coffee, had a bite to eat and just threw in a load of laundry. My middle one has an early morning appointment to have blood drawn for an upcoming physical. I'll be food shopping afterward. I may do some clothes shopping later this afternoon, I need a few things. Should be a relaxing evening. We're going to pick up Chinese Food, watch a hockey game and catch up on some shows. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Morning MMC! Happy Saturday and Rudolph Day #2! Hard to believe 2 months ago was Christmas huh? Just bringing Rollins for a check-up this morning and then looking for a new phone. Normally when I am eligible for an upgrade I wind up getting a phone that's several years older and that I can get for cheap (under $100). This time I think I'm going to just break down and get a really good newer one. We'll see. I think they spread it out over 2 years anyway so it's not like you're paying that much more per month. Another WARM morning here. Still feels like May...enjoy it while I can I know March won't be this warm! Have a great day!

Good morning, Christmas friends! Hope everyone is doing ok! Was supposed to be warm here, but it is 33 degrees. If that weatherman was my neighbor, I might just shoot him with a BB Gun or throw rocks at him. I was so looking forward to spending time outside. Now, it isn't supposed to get over 41. Well, I might just have to bundle up. I've been having cabin fever like no other! I just need to be outside for a few days.

I've got some graduate school work to do today, a basketball game to attend, and supper to get in the crockpot! See y'all tonight!

Good Morning, Friends of the Season and the Day!

Yes, sir. We are running a dual count here. Twice the fun and a shorter wait.
Then, there is the depth of the season meaning the NEXT season's count silently runs for 6 weeks during the course of the Season of the present!

Anyway, on with the current situation:
Days to the Season: 261
Days to Christmas Day: 303

And the discerning among us will instantly determine that the 300-day Christmas Day Window will be openng in just THREE short day. Less than HALF A WEEK, Folks!
After that? Well, a DOUBLE 200's count.
(Put that on your sleigh and jingle it!)

The weather has been so nice the last few days, it almost seems like we are cheating Mother Nature.
But hey. As long as she's a givin' we're a takin'!
Today should be another excellent one and it has commenced here in the capital city at 63 degrees.
And yes, the sun is shining and the birds are singing!

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everybody.
And enjoy your Weekend. You deserve it -- just for being die hard Christmas supporters!
