Greetings Ballcoach. My get up and at it did not begin until around 4PM (after an all nighter at work and morning church service). Hopefully, I'll get more accomplished today.

Good Morning ... expected to be overcast with a chance of showers and much cooler today. Making a new cookie later today that I am debating if I want to add to my Christmas Cookie Baking List. Speaking of Christmas last night one of the Starz Cable channel was showing Christmas Movies. My son and I curled up on the couch and watched Miracle on 34 Street (the newer version) and Jingle All the Way. He was so tired by the time we were mid way through Jingle all the Way but he was determined to stay awake and finish watching it and he did LOL

Happy Monday and a brand new week Minta. I love to cook, but my baking usually winds up several pounds too heavy, so when I add to my cookie list, it is either a new store or a new mix...
It always warms my heart when I hear family stories gathering for some special moment. These are the times you can look back on with a smile as the years pass.

(The big news follows our regularly scheduled count interlude.)

And now. An announcement of great import!
This just in...........
We are being approached by two BACK-TO-BACK Milestone markers.
They are 1/3 Christmas Day marker and the 200-Day Season Window.
The former arrives on April 26 and the latter on the following day, April 27.
Two Milestone Days in a row!!
(This only happens once a year, Guys. You don't want to miss it!)


Wonderful spring conditions here.
The only negative -- pollen everywhere. I'm not allergic but hate seeing a greenish-yellow powder coating everything. And it's with us for nearly two months. (Gets to be a drag.)
Currently, we awake to a temperature reading of 61 degrees here. We could be in for some on and off again rain this week.

Baby Back ribs on the menu for tonight. My secret dry rub and no sloppy sauces to get all over. Wonder why I feel so bad when I put away a whole rack by myself?..lol

Morning Gunny. How did those ribs turn out? I have to admit, I'm a sauce man myself. Always line the area for easy clean-up afterwards. I done the whole rack before, but then I've also polished off an entire 12 pack from Taco Bell and extra large from Papa John's and a two pound prime rib. Yes, I have had my moments at the table, followed by a few moans on the couch...

Why am I still up? I don't know. I was quite exhausted after work today I took a 2 hour nap.
It was a long day, but back to work in the morning.

Morning Xmas. I took a four hour yesterday afternoon, followed by another five hours last night. So I guess the total comes out okay for a Monday. Enjoy your day and your week, plus I hope your Saturday went well.

Greetings Crown and enjoy your week. We don't get that pollen dusting up here, but we make up for it with all the misty type sap that falls from the trees all summer long and makes for frequent washing of the cars.

Good morning MMC! Merry Monday?! It seems like about 4 hours ago, I was driving home from work on Friday, ready to get the weekend started! Where did it go?!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We didn't do a whole lot - Friday night we stayed home, ordered a veggie pizza. Saturday morning I did some cleaning at home, got some groceries, made a trip to Ben Franklin, went to the lake to do some cleaning. Water is supposed to be turned on TOMORROW!!! Yesterday my sis was staying with mom - she cut my hair (thank God) then we ordered pizza (again) for supper. My bro & sil stopped in. There went the weekend!

Hello everyone,
Happy Friday.
It is Red Nose Day here. A day where everyone gets involved to raise money for charity in whichever way they can.

There are various TV specials etc but my big news is there is going to be a mini Love Actually sequel !!! I love that movie and watch it every Christmas and know there are a few of you who love it too. It will only be 10 mins long but will show what happens to the characters many years later. I'm excited!

How fun!! I too hope we are able to see it!! Thanks for sharing!!

TGIF ... Now I can only hope that this weekend goes as slowly as this work week went by. Going to try a new brownie recipe and maybe a new cookie recipe this weekend. Other than a bike ride and a trip to the grocery store I really don't want to go anywhere this weekend. The last few weekends were busy with a lot of running around. I just got a lot of bell peppers from a friend, way more then I can use and freeze so I am going to put my dehydrator to work this weekend and dehydrate as many as possible. I will use the dehydrated peppers in marinades and Rubs that I plan on making for Christmas Gifts this year.

Good Morning and Happy Saturday.

After some rough weather recently, it looks as though spring has sprung. Beautiful bright morning even if very cold. It is supposed to get up to 57 today and tomorrow!!! Spring always feels like to start to all things

It is mother's day here in the UK tomorrow so i have the weekend off. I will be enjoying the beautiful weather and family time.

Thanks!! They lost the zoo after a Thursday morning full of slapping and hair pulling. So we just went to a small ice cream shop for lunch yesterday.

Ate a whole rack by myself!..lol i love a good Prime Rib myself. We went once to a place that had all you could eat Prime Rib for 30.00. 5 Jarheads and myself at a table eatting, first time they ever asked us to leave and refunded our money..lol

Well done Marine. I had a staff meeting at a place that routinely gave out two four one coupons and we each went in and ordered something different (six of us). When all the food arrived, we just had it set in the middle of a large table and dug in...

And the fact is, we have now completed the ENTIRE FIRST QUARTER of our trip back to Christmas Day!

Now, onward to our next pair of Milestone markers which are BACK-TO-BACK.
(Details on this once-a-year event are pending for tomorrow, after the dust has settled.)


Nice, warm and mid-Spring like here yesterday, with plenty of sun, gentle breezes and no precipitation of any variety.
Today should be another nice one and it has launched at 58 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina, who's team, the UNC Tar Heels, plays this evening for a spot in the NCAA Final Four!

Sounds like a great Saturday night. I hope your cookies turned out well! My sis was making some delicious chocolate cookies with a snickers mini in the middle at moms yesterday. Yum!!
