Good morning MMC ~
Merry Monday!
It's going to be cloudy today with a high of 79 degrees. Just like Edge, we're also expecting those severe storms later this evening. Hopefully my girls will be home from work before they hit. Not too much going on here today. I'm going to take a ride to Hallmark for a couple of cards. I'm also going to Target, I have a list of things that we need. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. That's about it.

Days to Christmas Day: 189

Can it be? Can it really be?
Yes. It is!
We are, as of today, only one week away from being HALF WAY back to Christmas!
(The rolling year just keeps rolling along, Folks.)


We are in a steady warm, humid and on/off again rain scenario here.
Hopefully, we can get a dry day or two this week, as that lawn needs attention and the services of a mower.
We are cloudy and very damp but rain free here this morning and stand just over 78 degrees at this hour.

Merry Monday and back to the grind. My girls are sleeping in today as this is their first official day of summer vacation! They are saying storms for us too...not sure if that will happen or not? I need to go grocery shopping later, otherwise it should be a quiet day. On a positive note my company gave us the 7/3 off too as a company holiday so I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend for sure! Hope you all enjoy the day and stay safe in those storms!

Good morning all!

Last night my wife and I were able to have a date night! A new Chinese restaurant opened up in town so we tried that it for dinner. It was wonderful. All of the other Chinese places in town are take out or buffet, but his is a nice little sit-down place. Great food, nice atmosphere.
After dinner we did a little shopping and went to see Wonder Woman. GREAT MOVIE!!! If you have not seen it yet, and are at all into superheroes, you need to see it.

No big plans today, just some cleaning and relaxing. Have a great day!

My son took me to see Wonder Woman for Fathers Day yesterday. GREAT MOVIE!!!! Really enjoyed it!!!

Happy Monday MMC! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It's really humid here and we expect some bad thunderstorms this evening. Hope I will be home before that happens. Other than just a 5 day work week for me before another 3 day weekend as I took off next Monday. Always something extra to look forward to. And of course Leon Day and the halfway marker and CIJ, and 4th of July etc. etc. all on their way soon. Have a great Monday!

Morning Edge. Welcome back to a full work week... Yesterday went well, I did not do much. Today we will see the low 80's and looks like the rain will pass us by for awhile (we got some on Saturday). Since this is my second day off, I'll see what transpires. Did a slight back pull yesterday, so this may be a recovery day. Enjoy the remainder of the day, stay dry & cool...
No matter the storm, the sun always shines though in the end...

Greetings SnowflakeMom and happy Monday to you as well. A four-day weekend? Not bad and kudos to your company for their generosity and American Spirit. Seems like the one thing children enjoy the most when vacation hits is sleeping in. Be safe in the storms and hopefully it will just drop enough rain to keep the garden growing, the grass green and the temps down. Enjoy...

Howdy Holiday. I trust your vacation was all you were hoping it would be. I've always thought that the one thing I enjoy most of a vacation is feeling that I've earned it by working the other portions of the year. I wonder if I would enjoy it as much if I was retired or idly rich. We have missed you as well, so basically... welcome back! Have a great week...

Top of the morning to one and all in this MMC world of the never ending Christmas. Had a very relaxing Father's Day. Oh, I got a few things done, but nothing major. All I asked for was peace and quiet (and KFC). Got it all... lol. Did a minor pull in my back from moving incorrectly, so I may have to just take it easy again today. The zoo day was a huge success and we all had a great time. Not much else really going on here. I will start looking at replacement washers and dryers as the ones we have are over 17 years old and you can hear them straining a bit. My biggest decision is whether to go with another agitator or the spin type on the washer. Oh the complexities of modern living...
Have a fun week all and I see we are very close to our 400th page on this tread. So what is next for all of us...

Morning all!! Its turned into a wet, rainy day...but at least its not so hot as the last few days YET. Storm clears out soon and humidity expected to go through the roof.
