Good Tuesday morning Jason. Yep, it is 1 Aug. Well pointed out for the months to come. That is one of the reasons I enjoy August is that there are no holidays (at least not yet). It seems to me to be a month for getting things done around the home and in the yard, so that you are ready for the last third of the year and all the special days that fall in those. Of course for me that also means Veterans Day. Some of us also visit the 2017 NFL Season Thread for comments and to make of well informed (okay best guess) picks for the upcoming season. Happy August MMC! A very busy day at work yesterday as I barely got to log on here much during the day (how dare they make me too busy at work). Like most of you, I have no idea how in the world it is AUGUST. I mean it seems like a few days ago we were saying how amazing it was that spring was here and it was April. Well this month always seems the longest to me so lets see if that continues this year. Seriously, can anyone believe 1 month from today we start the Bers? I can't. Definitely a good month to get prepared though as CG mentioned. Have a great 1st day of August!

I have a house to clean today, figured it was a good way to bring in a new month !
Think I may bake some brownies or something, will see what I feel like.

And that Window is just about ready to open!
We will learn all about that in just a moment.

First, we need to take a peek at our latest count numbers:
Days to the Season: 104
Days to Christmas Day: 146

And yes, you read that right. In a scant FOUR days (barely over HALF A WEEK) the 100-Day Season Window will indeed be thrown open, revealing a DOUBLE DIGIT Season count landscape as far as the eye can see.
(This, of course, will mean our pace to Christmas Season 2017 will just seem to move that much faster!)


A bit warmer yesterday than Sunday was, but still pretty nice to close out July.
This new month has commenced here at 65 degrees and we should hit the upper 80's by this afternoon.
But the humidity is supposed to remain in the 40's, so it should be reasonably comfortable.


Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks.
And say, Guys. We can now officially state that Christmas Blossoms 2017 will launch next month!
(Now, doesn't Christmas seem even closer than ever?)

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday! The next 3 days we have a high predicted of 80 - 81º & then we aren't supposed to get out of the 70's through August 15th! That's crazy!! And I'm sure it will change! We have a chance of rain now through Friday....but right now it's a gorgeous morning!

Gracie has me worried. She hasn't eaten since Sunday evening & she threw up this morning! That girl! Could be too much medicine & not enough food. She goes to the alternative meds vet on Thursday. xx

I got to meet one of Mom's new caregivers, Dena yesterday. She seems very nice! I sure hope this all works out! xx

Good Monday evening! First day back at work in the books. I must say that the office was in total disarray, papers and merchandise and signage everywhere. After some tidying up, I went through emails from the past two weeks, deleting and printing and sorting. And after taking care of a few more odds and ends, I finally was able to tackle next week's schedule, but I kept getting disrupted so I'm not as far along as I would've hoped. And there's more hiring and training to be done. The fun never stops lol Hope everyone had a great Monday and here's to a great week ahead.

I probably won't have time to post in the morning so I thought I would tonight instead. There are a mere few hours left in July as many of you have already noted. Tomorrow is a major milestone day for me personally. When I first got here in January I said my big goal each year was to reach August 1. Well tomorrow is of course August 1! A perfect spot in the calendar for so many reasons. We have the Fall and the start of the "ber" months to look forward to. There is preseason football leading to another season for those of us who love it. There is the Fall foliage and the cool weather that comes with it. Last but not least 4 really great holidays each with it's own month, #1 Labor Day in September, #2 Halloween in October, #3 Thanksgiving in November and yes Christmas in December. The best part about August is it is all right in front of us! Have a great last few hours of July and a great start to August tomorrow!

Good Morning MMC crowd and let me be the first to wish you all a Happy month of August. The 1st is here and for us in Sioux Falls, the hottest day for the first week of so and that only to be 83. Going to try and get a bit more yard work done this AM, It should help to wear me out for my afternoon rest as the new work week for me begins tonight. Also rain is predicted for tomorrow, so if I can get the ground squared away, the rain should help quite a bit. Not much else on the plate for today. Bible study is at 6AM, so I'll be heading out there shortly and while I am out, maybe a stop at Menards on the way home.
Everyone have a great 1st day of August and a phenomenal remainder of the week. Oh and if anyone hears from Festive Spirit, ask her what Yorkshire Day is. Apparently it falls on 1 Aug as well.

Happy August 1st!! So hard to believe that we are here! I think it will hit me more once vacation is over. I started packing last night and think I am pretty much ready to go. I had the girls lay out theirr outfits as well. I am just wrapping up stuff for work and getting ready to get into vacay mode.
