Morning MMC! Today we expect perfect weather with a high of 77 and mostly sunny skies. Pretty amazing for late August. And looking into next week heading into the Bers we see similar temps and conditions. Is summer really over already? I'm sure we'll get a little taste of Indian summer and 80s again but not sure we'll see 90 again till May. Hope you all have a great Saturday! I have a lot to do so better get going.
Lets hope no more 90° days.sick of the humidity we had here all summer.

Good Morning, Everyone.

Hey! We are starting to run out of Milestone markers!
There just aren't that many left between now and the start of the Season.
But the few that are left are exciting, so let's take a look at the next one.

First, though:
Days to the Season: 79
Days to Christmas Day: 121

And what's exciting about the next marker is the fact that after it passes, we will be seeing a double-double digit count!
Yep. That's right. Our next Milestone is in fact the ONE HUNDRED DAY WINDOW to Christmas Day, and it's only THREE weeks off from today.
(Just imagine that now. Soon, BOTH of our counts will only have two digits!)

Not bad at all here yesterday, weatherwise. I did not see the temperature out of the low 80's and the humidity was lower.
We should be in for a nicer-than-average-for-August weekend as well, and it has commenced at 72 degrees, here.

Have a Sensational Saturday Friends, and enjoy your Weekend to the fullest!
Thanks Crown! Enjoy your last weekend of August!

I know one year around 1992 or so we had like 40 days of 90 degree temps...this year I think we had more like 6-7. So it definitely was not a hot summer but as you said we still had our share of humidity. An early end to summer this year? I know you'll be sad if that's true...
This is the only place where I dislike summer time. In NC I could head to the beach whenever I wanted, go to the water park etc.

Good Sunday morning! Another work day for me, but looking forward to a 4-day weekend coming up. The weather has been absolutely perfect these past few days and will remain so until Wednesday from the looks of it. We've been able to trun off the ac at night and just sleep with the windows open, such a welcome change. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

Everyone, have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Merry Greetings

Just for the record, I didn't miss Rudolph Day; just didn't make it here. I surprised two co-workers by sharing an old photo of them wearing reindeer antlers and red noses on Friday to celebrate Rudolph Day.

Off an on during the day, I kept hearing the Nutrcraker's Dance of the Sugar plum fairy playing in my head; well that doesn't have anything to do with Rudolph, but it has plenty to do with Christmas.

Still having issues with my tablet so I'm working off my work laptop when I can.

Stay jolly everyone!!!

Had a great visit with my parents and an older cousin whom I didn't get a chance to visit while I was in Toronto a few weeks ago. Took my mom and my cousin, Reg out for lunch. He tried to buy, but I beat him to the cashier. My dad told me he'd fight me on it and to just let him pay, but I didn't. I said, "You're in my city, it's my treat!" He still tried to slip $50.00 into my pocket, but I wouldn't take it.

It did us both good to see each other. It's been about 2.5 years. We chat on the phone often and I always remember to send him a birthday card in October and a Christmas card, but to be able to hug each other was great. He was always like a second dad. It did me good to see him because he was thought to have had Alzheimer's a while back and had to endure many tests and lost his license only to discover what my husband and I thought all along - he had nobody to converse with on a regular basis so he started to forget things. He seems quite fine for 89. Wish I could drive him back to Toronto on Tuesday, but I'm so swamped at work right now, I can't take any time off until October.

I have a bit of shopping to do today and must wash the kitchen floor. I don't care for domestic shores, they spoil my "play time". HaHa

I'm heading out today to look for a Mickey or Minnie Christmas ornament at the Hallmark store for a co-worker who's having a Christmas baby. I know it's early, but it gives me a great excuse to surround myself with Christmas thoughts. The Mickey or Minnie will be for her daughter who will be a big sister to the BOY they're going to bring into their world. I'll get some nice, but not "First Christmas" ornament for the baby as well. I always give a gift to the sibling, not just the new baby.

I've got a craving for some fired twinkies and strange camel brew; must get to the Pines one of these Wednesdays soon.

Keep a merry thought in your head!

Love the light vid Auntie!! I sometimes visit a site where the guys/girls on there are dedicated to Christmas lighting. Alot goes into programming lights to do this. And they are a dedicated group of people that almost work year round on their lighting.

Morning! Another perfect Sunday here. A high of 78 under mostly sunny skies. Again it continues to feel like summer has winded down faster this year. Got to love this weather. I'm going upstate this afternoon so I will have a pretty busy day to visit a friend. And then will have to be ready for a long work week...with a 3 day weekend ahead of it and the Bers beginning. Sounds good to me. Have a great Sunday!

Good morning ~
It's going to be a nice day, partly sunny with a high of 76, we're currently at 63 degrees. I'm just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I'm going to head out soon to pick up bagels and then head over to my parents house for a visit. Not too much else going on. I think I'm going to stop at the pasta shop while I'm out and pick up fresh raviolis for dinner :) I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Aww ... I'm sorry to hear that. I hope there's a next time when you can get there.
Our AC Moore is getting screwy..they stopped carrying flocking material which I use in abundance in my dioramas. Now its online buying or purchasing their tiny bags from the dollhouse/train section...4.50 for a tiny bag. I recently discovered 150gram bags from a Chinese website that are the same cost as AC Moores 5 gram bags.
