Good Morning, Hilariously Happy Holiday Hopers!
And soon, our hopes will become reality, as the holidays are just around the corner.

Just how far around the corner?
That's what we are here for to find out, isn't it?

Behold:
Days to Halloween: 6 (UNDER ONE WEEK TO GO!)
Days to the Season: 19 (Now down to the TEENS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 61 (Two months from TODAY!)

(The rolling year. It's just rolling away with us. Watch out that you don't get run over, Folks!)


One final warm weather day was had yesterday.
This morning has started out rather coolish and is not supposed to get out of the mid 60's all day, with pending overnight lows in the low to mid 40's for the next couple of days. (We are just starting to get that overdue dose of reality!)
Our current temperature reading is 49 degrees here in the capital city.


OK, Guys. This evening is the final Shispering Pines open house of October and also the last one before Halloween. Carl is acutely aware of this (he seems to be acutely aware of most everything!) and has planned accordingly.
You don't want to miss his Halloween bash complete with appropriate decorations, apple bobbing, scary ghost stories and a door prize that Carl claims will knock you off your broomstick. (I can only imagine what that might be!)
Anyway, I plan to be there. How about you?

A Wonderful Wednesday to the MMC community. Since it is so early, it seems appropriate to say we are in the last seven days of October. Things (and time) are picking up and before we know it, Halloween will be a memory and most will be getting into the Thanksgiving mode. I do enjoy , Halloween but look forward to Thanksgiving even more. Which is less than a month away now. Have fun everyone...

Good morning.
Just got the kids to school and now I am back home to relax and med-up! I am very glad my wife convinced me to take the day off. I woke up feeling much worse this morning than I felt yesterday. I may have to use tele-doc and get an antibiotic. I am thinking I at least have a sinus infections.

Well, time for medicine and rest. I will probably throw on a Halloween movie and fall asleep.... unless the movie is Nightmare On Elm Street, and then I probably shouldn't fall asleep.

Good evening all.
Finally some nice cool weather! Unfortunately I have a bad cold, or something. Woke up this morning with a sore throat and headache. Fought through the day at school, but as the day went on I have felt worse and worse. My wife convinced me to take tomorrow off and try to get better. I really hate having to get a sub. It is twice as much work in terms of planning and getting things ready. Oh well, hopefully I can go back on Thursday.
I always seem to get sick right around Halloween.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Happy Rudolph Day #10! Unreal that 1 week from today we start November. I decided last night to pay off the rest of my student loan that I've had for the past 12+ years and been paying monthly. Had a couple of thousand left on it and decided it was time to get rid of it. Other than that just thinking about today and focusing on having a good one. Lots of fun stuff coming. Enjoying the Halloween lights around here every day. Have a great day!

That is the best feeling when you pay off a bill.

Happy Rudolph Day!!
Such a dreary day here and looks like it might be like that for the next couple of days.
My oldest daughter had PT last night and they are pretty sure it is a quad sprain and minor bone bruise. She should be able to play in Friday's game. They own their division so they are in playoffs now.
Just work for me and hopefully getting in a work out today.

Good Morning .. oh this morning has me feeling excited for the holidays. It's a beautiful crisp chilly fall morning and most definitely feels like fall Now I cant wait for the weekend .. I have a couple small turkeys in my freezer so I am going to take one out tonight to roast this weekend. Plus I think the kids and I are making cut out sugar cookies with the fall and Halloween cookie cutters. If my calculations are correct we have a little over 3 weeks to go before the 1st radio station around here flips over to all Christmas music. My son so can not wait. He keeps checking his radio daily even though I tell him he was a few more weeks to go. There is no doubt he takes after me with his love of Christmas.

Well, Little Miss Lucilia goes to the beauty parlor today for her 1st grooming. Makes me so nervous I won't have a little brown bear anymore by this afternoon!! I'll take her at lunch! She can hardly see.... LOL




It's chilly in the office this morning. The furnace isn't on yet, but my little heater is!!!

sounds like most of us similar weather today. It has been raining on and off with very gusty winds. At one point I was tell my son he should record the noise of the howling wind, it would be great for halloween.
i think I am going to snuggle down and read some more before sleeping.

I was up way too early again today thanks to one of my kitty cats. The little devil has been my 4:00am wake up call. Not too much going on here, I’ll just be working on my daily chores. My daughter and I would like to take a ride to the pumpkin farm, weather permitting. We are expecting showers today so we’ll see. If not we’ll probably grab Chipotle for lunch

I woke up again 2 hours before my alarm & I did it again .... couldn't fall back to sleep until about 20 minutes before my alarm went off, then felt like I could sleep for 2 more hours!! Grrrr!
