Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good morning MMC and Happy Sunday!
We’re expecting lots of rain and wind today with highs near 67 degrees. Not too much going on here. My girls are all off today which is great. I’ll just just be spending time with my family. We’ll probably carve a couple of more jack o lanterns. Still can’t believe Halloween is so close. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Happy Saturday to one and all! Watching QVC with my new, lovely and darling wife! Yes, I got married to a very spectacular woman (IE... one that can put up with me, LOL!!!!). I am now an official resident of Connecticut as well. Yes Maryland man (engineer) marries Connecticut woman (school teacher); Wow.... It's been a really cool and wild road trip, glad I didn't go to Vegas! LOL!!!

Hot diggity dog, it's that time of year again, QVC has Christmas on, Hallmark channel is airing Christmas movies and all the stores are filled with Christmas decorations! Gotta Love it!

I was just telling my wife all about that year on QVC when poor ole Rudolph took a really rough ride, against his will.....She laughed so hard!

I really miss you guys and being here. Don't be surprised if you don't start seeing me here a bit more often. Have a great night and a blessed Sunday.

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!

It sounds like most of us on the east coast are expecting rain and wind today. That's ok, though. Yesterday, I raked leaves(and burned them LOL), mowed the lawn, and edged the sidewalks and curbs. I'm still sore! It's tough getting old. They say youth is wasted on the young, and I agree.

Mama is still in the mountains, so we won't be having dinner with her today. Maybe the family will go out to eat with me.

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!

I took out 3 A.C.'s yesterday and felt fine. Today my lower back is hurting. Oldness.

Morning MMC! Yep it's going to be a very rainy day here also. It's already raining as I type this but the heavy stuff comes this afternoon and evening. Basically a deluge today. Reminds me of 1 Halloween we had when I was in my early teens. Still went trick or treating in it and people asked what the heck are you doing out? But I don't think they really do a rain date for Halloween. Anyway, luckily it will be nice on Halloween here for the kids. For today just going to go to the mall I think and back home. Not much else to do in this weather. Enjoy your Sunday!

Friends, it is happening....

I know, I know. It is still October. However, last night you could sense a change in people. There were more out, they were more festive, and it seemed you didn't pass someone without sharing a smile or a greeting. It isn't just because my wife is so attractive or my kids are so good looking like their Daddy, but you could almost feel some slipping into that "Season State of Mind."

I was just telling my wife all about that year on QVC when poor ole Rudolph took a really rough ride, against his will.....She laughed so hard!

MARRIED?!?!?!?!? WHATCHA DO THAT FOR?!?!?!?!?! YOU ARE JUST ASKING FOR IT?!?!?!?!?!? Kidding, best thing that ever happened to me...

And that QVC memory was a classic. I've tried to youtube that moment several times, no luck.

The time period from Halloween till Thanksgiving is probably almost as exciting as Thanksgiving to Christmas...next few weeks you feel it day by day getting so close.

Happy Sunday! Just enjoying a cup of coffee. My daughter had her Homecoming dance last night and then slept over a friend's house. Looks like it will be a rainy/stormy day. I bought a small turkey to cook. Otherwise will be a quiet day. Have a great day!

Our weather has taken a turn for the worse since last night, it has rained non stop since 6pm and it has put a halt to my Christmas light placement outside. Maybe I will rewire so old Noma bubble lights today instead.

Good morning everyone! Another cold off and on rainy day here. I went to visit my parents yesterday, which is quite a drive, so I am looking forward to a quiet Sunday cheering on my oh-so-sad fantasy football team today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning and Thank you so much to everyone who sent us well wishes and congratulations. The morning here is a wet one for sure, we are supposed to get a tremendous amount of rain here, about 3-5 inches within the next 24 hours. Can you imagine if that amount of rain, would of have been snow? That would of have been just awesome!!! What would that of been, like 30-50 inches of snow? Oh yea, sign me up!!!!

I'm all ready for the snow this year, I went out and bought myself a Ford F-350 super duty Lariat, Diesel, one ton dually 4x4; so, yes, I have a six wheel drive on stand by, all ready for the coming New England snows!!!! It's my (Country boy) mid life crises truck! LOL!!!

Sitting here, fireplace going, kids are eating marshmallows, and we are watching Monsters, Inc. I'm drinking a nice cup of apple cider....

There are some of the moments that you wish you could just freeze in time....

I know one day I will want them back, but right now I'm going to sit and breath in this moment....
