Nighty-night or good morning! I'm off to bed to dream of CHRISTMAS!

Whatever pops into my head and right now based on the snow outside; it's ... "Walking in a Winter Wonderland".
I ended up going with Michael Buble - All I want for Christmas is you... such a better version than Mariah!

Well, I had better head for bed before I have to prop my eyelids open with toothpicks.
Another great final countdown.
Good night, all. Sleep tight and dream of Christmas!

Thanks for letting me be part of your tradition. I'm more excited than usual for Christmas thanks to tonight! I'm sure Brent will come on when he is home. I hope you all have a great rest of your season and sleep well tonight :)

I just arrived home from a late game of hockey. I have heard a few stories from Kim. Thank you to those that talked with her during the countdown. She says that she really enjoyed herself. I hope to never miss another countdown!

It's here. The Christmas Season has arrived. We can now say those two magical words we've waited to say all year... It's now The Most Wonderful Time of the Year... MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!! :)

Can't go wrong with that! Apparently, Kim forgot my tradition of Jingle Bells by Barenaked Ladies. I came home and put it on. So happy that I can now play nothing but Christmas music for the rest of 2017!

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS SEASON 2017 TO ONE AND ALL THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MMC NATION!!!

THANKS SO MUCH, YOU GUYS!

Sad I missed it. Merry Christmas, Crown! Thank you for all your hard work. We've arrived. Excited for the next countdown... until then, let's enjoy our Season!! Merry Christmas, friend.

A little merry something for your celebration at our official start to the season.

Yule Oral Ability …
After over 12 years of observations, participation and chat experience, I have concluded that there are a large number of individuals suffering (or not) from the same Yule Oral Ability that I have discovered in myself.

The symptoms include:
~Reading Christmas books, novels, comics, letters, cards, etc. after January 31st and prior to Nov.1st.
~Re-reading those same books (etc.) year after year or month after month.
~Keeping a festive journal of plans, gift & decorating ideas along with recipes.
~Counting down the days until Christmas Day arrives (this includes, for many, a new countdown on Boxing Day).
~Talking about Christmas all year long.
~Thinking about Christmas in your head (dwelling in that Christmas closet afraid to tell those around you what you are thinking).
~Recalling Christmases of the past - brought about by someone else’s words, sounds or smells you encounter during the day.
~Music - of a Yule nature - plays in your head or emits from your CD, MP3, iPod, turntable, etc. in the “off season”.
~Others see a pine tree - you see a tree transformed into a Christmas display of lights, ornaments, beads, garland, tinsel or cranberry and popcorn strings.
~ You create scrapbooks, pictoral journals, elaborate yard and/or indoor displays.
~You dream of a white Christmas in June and again in December (even if you live in a climate that never receives snow).
~You nod your head knowingly when you hear a child in a school yard yell “ouch!” after freeing his/her tongue from the frosty flagpole, fence or railing.
~You wear Christmas socks or bells that jingle on your shoes - just because.
~You crave eggnog, hot cocoa and wish you had a fire nearby to roast marshmallows or chestnuts (even if they don’t taste good - bleh).
~You start your letter to Santa early to avoid the Christmas rush.
~The Merry jargon you use is not understood by your family, the general public, and co-workers.
~You have difficulty finding the humour in a joke if it isn’t followed by a jolly HoHoHo.
~You make up festive operas and perform at the Shispering Pines Playhouse where you are served by a three-humped camel that carries eggnog (during the season) or special coffee/tea blends in that middle hump (during the off season).
~You dream of going to the North Pole, meeting Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Elves and Reindeer or helping Santa deliver presents all around the world.

If you have checked off more than five of the above criteria, face it - you are a Christmas Wacko and have Yule Oral Ability. Oh sure, there are those who might call it a Yule Oral Disability, but as long as it’s keeping you jolly all year long, why would you want to look for a cure. So, that’s why this is called Yule Oral Ability rather than Yule Oral Disability.

Feel free to join me in my Yule Oral Ability Support Group - and share your Festive Yulable Moments here anytime.

Have yourself a cool yule-ish kinda day! Keep Merry All Day Long! -tree-

Check, check, check. :) Merry Christmas, Auntie!

Wow, great to be a part of this :-D

had no idea there was such a countdown - read through the posts, page after page of minutes counting down rapidly, and felt the excitement you all felt, little twinge in my tummy when Crown's merry season post came :)

Super!

A very pleasant morning to one and all. Was sleeping during the countdown and now I'm taking a break from cleaning my garage. Yes, even at 1AM, there are things that I can be doing. The Halloween crate has been stowed away and the Thanksgiving one is off to the side for storage in a mere eleven days. Some of the Christmas boxes (or very large plastic totes) are coming out so I can see what is available this year and while the wife and daughter are sleeping, I may finish the lights on one of the trees (that one will be all green this season).
One of the things I love most about Christmas, besides the most important in our Savior's birth, is the way it affects and causes change within so many. You can hear it in the songs, view it in the writings, feel it in the generous spirit and of course see it in the eyes of both young and old alike. The magic, the wonder, the joy, the peace we feel are but a few of the presents all who truly believe in this time of year receive freely. What gift from a store could possibly equal it?
I actually feel sorry for those who view it as only once a year or take offense at the early arrival. Over commercialization has indeed ruined it for some, but those who carry it all year round in their hearts see past the greed and those who would try to encompass every manufactured product under the banner of Christmas. We know and understand better than many, to our joy and their unknown loss.
So to each, a very happy holiday season and whether you still have Thanksgiving to look forward to our if it has passed, the best, as they say, it yet to come...

A merry morning to you friend.
It's true and like the saying goes the best present under the tree is a family all wrapped up in each other.
