I wasn't here last night but it was nice to see Kim join in on the countdown! I hope she comes back to visit more often! :)
Have a great day Brent! Merry Christmas Season!

Thanks, Holiday! I hope she does, too.

Hope your day has been great, Holiday. Merry Christmas Season to you as well. It feels so nice to say that. :)

Well, the Season is here again one more time after another year of counting down together.

The years are really starting to pile up, now. We have been at this for a long time.
In fact, the Countdown has slowly made itself into a wonderful Christmas tradition! A tradition it has been my pleasure to share with each and every one of you over the last ten years here at MMC.
And thanks to our annual real-time count last night, I'm really starting to feel once again in the Christmas spirit! (And that's really the whole idea, isn't it?)

A heart-felt thanks to all of you, both newcomers and old-timers, for helping to make this year, and the decade's worth of years that have come before it, really special here at MMC.

Now full speed ahead into Christmas Season 2017!
Have fun, my friends.
Put on some Christmas music.
Dust off those ornaments.
Pop in a Chritmas movie.
Start thinking about that eggnog and sugar cookies.
And above all, don't waste a moment -- enjoy the Season experience to the fullest.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, CROWN!

Thank you for leading us into the Season. I read most of the posts when I returned home from hockey. I was disappointed that I wasn't here, but so happy that everyone seemed to have a great time!

I'm excited to put on some Christmas music, dust off those ornaments, and maybe pop in a Christmas movie tonight. The transformation will be in full-force tonight. My home will Step Into Christmas and be filled with the wonderment of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

After only about 5 hours of sleep, I was awoken this morning by a phone call to come into work at Russell. I didn't want to accept it - I wanted sleep - but I knew that my job is more important. It's been a great day. The students were pretty awesome. Now, I am enjoying my prep period. Hopefully having prep at the end of the day will allow me to get out of here quickly and get to the gym, and possibly for a run. Then, Operation Decoration 2017 will commence at home.

I hope everyone has been enjoying the first day of the Christmas Season. My more personable students have come to understand and recognize my love for Christmas. I had a few students today ask if I was extra excited today because I have made them aware that the Christmas Season begins on November 13th. I love having a positive relationship and being able to discuss Christmas with some of them. They're extraordinary kids.

Put on some Christmas music and enjoy the sounds and sights, everyone. The Christmas Season is here. Merry Christmas.

I did some Christmas gift shopping this weekend. I've wrapped everything except DD's gifts. She'll be away for a church function this weekend, so I'll wrap her gifts then.

DH & I went shopping for gifts for DD on Friday. We had a day off work while she was in school. Friday night DH put out his new National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Department 56 set. Some of the lights don't work (It would be funny if it didn't cost so much....) so I have contacted the store to see what we need to do. I went to a Christmas bazaar & a Christmas open house with Mom on Saturday. I wrote out a bunch of Christmas cards that night. On Sunday I wrapped the gifts. Listening to Christmas music today. More excited for the season than I have been in a few years.

Oh no! I hope you can get the lights fixed. You're right it would be a funny coincidence if things weren't so expensive. Would love to see a pic of it!
Have a Merry Day!

Hey y'all--Merry Christmas!!!!!
I finished my second Half Marathon on Saturday and spent time at home with my mom and dad while my husband worked and was on call. It was a great weekend but I was sorry to miss the fun last night!
Hope everyone has a great evening! I've got some straightening up to do around the house before we can decorate, so I'm going to get on that right now!
Have a lovely Christmasy evening, everyone!!

They are LED bulbs. If they wont replace the pieces send me a message and I can send ya some bulbs if needed or tell you how to source lights from a craft store as a replacement. I had to replace every light on the Griswold house, the Chinese quality control for lights is to test 1 out of 500, if the 500th bulb is good..it means all previous bulbs are good..lol

Thxs Crown!! Everybody enjoys every day waiting for the Countdown, until you do a thread every single day you really cant appreciate the time it takes and resolve to do it. Dont forget to post if yall need a extra day off.

Thanks, NcGunny.
I've really appreciated the assist I have received from you and Edge this year!

After about an hour of setting up the tree and then unfolding the branches, I turned it on only to find out that a full strand of trees are not working. Kim and I went through the lights, tried changing the fuses and had no luck. It's a brand new tree (retails for $400) and a strand doesn't work. I'd say that is a very disappointing purchase.

It looks like we're going to have to take this tree down and bring it back. A discount of some sort best be made, too.
