Morning MMC! It's my last work day until Christmas. That's always a special feeling. It's hard to believe how close we are to Christmas now. I'm actually looking forward to my work day because as busy as it will be it will be restful compared to the next 3 days. Usually by the time we sit down for Christmas Eve dinner we're almost too tired to even eat. Haha...anyway hope you all are enjoying these last days before the Dynamic Duo!

Good morning and Happy Thursday!
It’s going to be sunny and colder today, highs near 37 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and eating a couple of sugar cookies :) I straightened up the house and started laundry so far. I’m going to get started on breakfast soon. I got a lot done yesterday, I finished most of my wrapping. I need to run to Kohls at some point today to pick up a couple of things. Every time I think I’m done shopping I think of something else I have to get! Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. I guess that’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

The place across the street from your hotel sounds quite quaint. I hope you enjoy your time there!
Good luck fining a gift for your hubby. Part of my hubby's gift arrived yesterday. Hopefully he likes it - I think he will! xx
Good luck to O'cat at the groomers Saturday. He will be all handsome for Christmas. :) That's great you found such a good groomer!

I can't express how fortunate we are that his groomer left her management position with PetSmart because they were changing things and she wouldn't be allowed to groom anymore just oversee the people who do and she loves being close to the animals. She opened her own business and it's turning out well for her. The previous grooming place we went to wanted to have him sedated by the Vet before they groomed him because he became aggressive (never bit, just threatening posture and growls) a few times and they were afraid of him. O'Malley's Vet said she would never do that just to have the cat groomed and if it was that bad, she'd do it in her office under her supervision.

The first time we discovered Christine, I described some of his behaviours and his being half-feral and she got down on the floor by the cage chatted with him for a bit and asked me to leave.

I wandered about the store for a bit and then spied on the my boy from a safe distance so he wouldn't see me. At one point Christine had to answer a call so she unhooked his harness and had him resting on her hip balancing him along her arm and he wasn't even trying to bite her or protest. Turns out as she was growing up her family had taken in many cats and dogs to pamper and prepare for re-homing. We've been going to her ever since and thankful that she has patience with him and so much passion for her work. I always tip her upon what she charges.

Keep a furry thought in your head,

Oh my....5 more days till Christmas!!! I'm still waiting for that Amazon truck to show up with the rest of the gifts I ordered, whewww, it's getting a little too close for comfort.

Tonight, is the firms, company Christmas dinner, and so I'm leaving here early to go pick up the wife at her work. I dropped her off at school this morning so then, that way we are not driving two vehicles 50 plus miles back and forth.

So far, on Accuweather and the weather channel, they are still indicating some form of snow to fall in the Mid-Atlantic area's on Christmas eve and day; fingers crossed for a White Christmas!

We're supposed to have mild temperatures this weekend and 1-3 cm. of snow on Christmas Day. We have plenty of snow, the mild temps won't make it disappear. We're going ahead with lighting our annual Christmas Eve luminaries to stick with our tradition. One of my brothers is coming home for Christmas, he's only missed celebrating 4 of them over the years.

Ohhh i am getting the blame for the kidos being soo excited Holiday lol...Merry Christmas buddy!

Well, if the stocking fits ... -surprise-
Have a wonderful Christmas! I'm getting a bit hyper too.

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 39 **

Good Morning, Friends!

Drawing near.
Drawing ever so near.

The count proves it:
Days to Christmas Day: 4 (Barely over HALF A WEEK LEFT!)
Mercy. I can almost hear those reindeer pawing at the snow!

Rainy and cool yesterday.
Should dry up today and we are predicted to be in for a rather nice stretch right on up through Christmas Eve, before it turns cold for the Big Day itself.
The weather service says no chance for a white Christmas for us here in central North Carolina, however.
We stand just under 42 degrees at this hour here in the capital city.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And get ready for your LAST Weekend Eve before Christmas!

Happy Thursday!! Just work for me today and I have a couple of errands. I have 2 more gifts to wrap and I just need to pick up some Dunkin Donut gift cards for my youngest daughter's teachers and I am going to get them some truffles too. My husband is working late tonight so I think it may be Chinese tonight for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Well, Christmas vacation has begun! Today was the last day of school. I was able to get all of my exams graded before I left. My wife is getting dough ready for cookies and we are enjoying Christmas cartoons.

The local weather folk are saying we "might" get enough snow for a White Christmas!!! Lots of rain on Saturday and a cold front moving in should turn it to snow. Then snow showers throughout Christmas Eve day and night could give us around a inch or maybe slightly more. I would LOVE to wake up on Christmas morning to snow on the ground!!

Well, have a great night!
I could do without all that rain...what can we do to turn it all to snow??? ;) :p Enjoy your Christmas break!

Good Wednesday evening! It's 10:15pm and the appartment smells of tourtières and cranberry sauce. It's the first time I've ever made cranberry sauce or even tasted some. The recipe I found was so easy, and it received David's seal of approval, so a win there. Tomorrow, other than cooking the rest of the tourtières, roast potatoes and turkey roasts, I'll attempt a fruit ketchup. I figured some condiments would be welcome with the meat. David was wrapping presents in the bedroom while I was cooking/catching up on the dvr. I am intrigued by the colourful boxes. Hope everyone had a great day and here's to another one tomorrow!
I want to come to your house today.... Have fun!!!

So happy that O'Malley has a groomer who understands him and knows how to handle him properly instead of just branding him as a "problem child."
