Good morning all, and happy Friday! Still delighted by the persistence of Christmas lights this year. Several houses in my neighborhood remain adorned, their owners stubbornly refusing to bow to the end of the Christmas season. Also, my drive home from work takes me through a residential area, and I’m happy to report on evenings when I drive home late and dark has settled in, several home owners near my office feel the same!!!

Good morning MMC! TGIF!!! I did not want to get up this morning, but just watch - tomorrow morning I won't be able to sleep!

I'm going for lunch today w/ 4 of my siblings, 2 aunts & 2 uncles & 2 cousins. Should be fun! After they are going to visit Mom. She will like that!

Not much up for the weekend. Hubby is still not feeling well. He was better for awhile yesterday but then went the other direction again. Hopefully after today he'll be good to go! xx

I started watching Christmas Inheritance on Netflix last night. It's really good but I couldn't keep my peepers open for the whole thing. (I started it too late!)

Thanks Holiday! The vet appointment went well, he has a clean bill of health. He weighs 1.6 pounds, so tiny!

1.6 lbs!! Oh my!!! ♥ What a little pipsqueak!! Glad he got a clean bill of health. So sweet!!! (even with those razor sharp teeth!!)

Sending get well wishes for your husband. Praying you don’t get sick. It is bad this year. I had bronchitis in the beginning of the month and I’m still coughing, I can’t seem to shake it.

Praying your hubby is better soon and that you don't get it, too!

Hopefully after today he will be better!! I had it last week, so hopefully it doesn't come back around to me again!!!! xx

HMG - hope you can shake that cough soon! xx Have you ever tried taking Resp-Eleven? It's made by NeoLife. I take 2 every morning (when I remember...) - supposed to help with respiratory - great for people prone to bronchitis or pneumonia.

Went grocery and pet food shopping today. It was a very cold day what with the wind chill. Found a few things at Goodwill for the store, too. That is always a bonus when running errands!

Morning MMC and TGIF. Looks like we have a January Thaw Part 2 coming this weekend. It might hit 50 on Saturday. That's going to feel like summer compared to what we've had the last 6 weeks. I still hear that the 2nd half of winter will not be anything as bad as the 1st half has. I'd be ok with that for sure although I wouldn't mind 1 blizzard in February. I hope you all enjoy your TGIF!

I’m just having my coffee and playing with this crazy puppy. Not too much going on here today, I think I’m going to sneak out of here to do some food shopping. Good Friday morning! After working a 12-hour shift to get everything done, I have a much-needed 4 days off. Since I've been sick I didn't take any sick days and I think my body needs extra rest to finally get over this thing. I'm staying home today, waiting for a package and doing some housecleaning and just relaxing. Wishing everyone a great day!

Days to the Season: 298
Days to Christmas Day: 340

Now, with the 300-day Season Window opened and behind us, thoughts naturally turn toward the indentity and proximity of our next Milestone marker.
Well (and I'm warning you, you just might not believe this) the next marker is set to arrive on February 12, just 24 days from today, and it's the ONE-QUARTER point to Christmas Season 2018!
(See. I told you that you would not believe me. But check out the chart. You'll believe that, won't you?)


Our high yesterday was only 36 so the majority of the snow is still with us. Lots of black ice resulted in over 2,000 accident reports to the highway patrol.
We are again well below freezing this morning, at 26 degrees so driving will be treacherous until we get some sun and warmth onto those roads.


But seeing as how it is Friday and Weekend Eve once again, we can no doubt find a way to make it Fabulous and Wondrous, right?

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's still cold around here, too. It was 26°F on the way to work. I know that's nothing compared to a lot of y'all, but it's downright POLAR in south Georgia.

Not much happening today. I'm having lunch with mom, then Nancy and I are doing the weekly Walmart run tonight. Tomorrow I have to saw up the big limb that I got off of the roof. Yay.
