Morning MMC. It's the last full week of January and we have no snow predicted for the next week. In fact, we may not see anymore snow in January period according to the long range outlooks. I'd be ok with that. It was a mostly good weekend. Now I'm hoping for a good week because my co-worker is out and things can get more hectic when she's not here. Other than that, just looking forward to Rudolph Day #1 this week. Have a good start to the week!

Merry Monday MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy here today with afternoon showers, temperatures will be in the mid 40’s. I’m still not feeling well and I’m debating whether I should go back to the doctor or not. I hate to sit in that waiting room and expose myself to more germs. I was supposed to go for a stress test tomorrow but I’m going to reschedule that for the second time, I will call as soon as the office opens. I never expected to be sick for this long! Thankfully there isn’t too much going on here today, I’ll just be working on my daily chores. And playing with the puppy of course. I’m going to make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!

It is slippery out there today. The snow should be all gone soon as rain is on the way tonight and most of the day tomorrow. Palmer is watching the icicles drip outside her favorite window. It is also the window that looks out on where I feed the birds so she is seeing quite a show this morning!

Greetings Meceka and congratulations on your award. We got our snow, but not as bad as originally predicted. Clean up should be fairly easy. In fact I have already been out twice to get most of it done.

Well whadda know, Tom Brady is back in the Super Bowl. I'm about ready for him to retire soon.

Congrats to Brady and the Pats. I just don't understand why the Jags did not put on additional pressure when they went to an almost all pass 2nd half. They should all have learned from the Giants. If you want to beat Brady, pressure and hit him often. Otherwise he will pick any team apart.

Good evening,

Saw a great game down at Mohegan Sun with the New England Black Wolves beating the Rochester Knighthawks 11-9. It is early in the season but at 4 wins and 1 loss that is the best record in the Eastern conference. I won't speak of the other New England team, even though I am in the region I can't stand them.
I am still lazy, my trees are still up and on. I finally shut off my outdoor lights the other night, I am enjoying my trees immensely.
I am exhausted, watching "The Martian" now before bed. My eyelids are heavy.

I hate to sit in that waiting room and expose myself to more germs. I was supposed to go for a stress test tomorrow but I’m going to reschedule that for the second time, I will call as soon as the office opens. I never expected to be sick for this long! Morning HMG. I'm with you as far as hanging around a doctor's office. But, having said that, don't take your health for granted. The fact that you are considering seeing a physician, is probably a good sign to follow through.

The cold and the snow are at least temporarily forgotten.
Today has started off at 41 degrees and we should again reach the 60's both today and tomorrow.

PTL, school is finally back in session! They have one "snow day" left to use. Then they will have to figure out how to make up any other days they miss: use two teacher in-service days, lose spring break, or go into summer break. They can also request a waiver from the state so that they don't have to make up those days. We still have quite a while before our winter weather is over, but I want to get school over with. DD's math struggles this year are giving me extra stress...

It was a dreary rainy day here in Indy. I ran to the south side for a few things and then I had to go pick up my youngest niece out east. So I’ve been on the road a lot. My niece is still running a fever and can’t go to school. So of course, Uncle made gets to play nurse again and pray that he doesn’t get it. The doctor said the virus has been lasting a couple of weeks so this could be fun. I probably should have picked up a case of Lysol instead of a single can. Lol!! At least she kept me from seeing the Patriots win again. Go NFC!!!!

Sorry to hear your niece is sick again. You sure have had your share of sickness going around your family! Hope she gets well soon and you don't get it!

Seems everyone in my family has been sick with the flu except me! Not sure how I have dodge it so far since I have been the primary care taker for everyone that has been knocked down with it. I have been overexposed to all those germs! I am the one who went through all kinds of health issues last year so I thought my immune system was weakened but it seems it's stronger than I thought!
I hope you get well soon and your stress test does well!!!

Math was always my least favorite subject. Hopefully all will work out and she will get through it successfully!

Looks like we will have a pretty dreary day today and tomorrow but it will definitely be all rain.
Not too much going on today...my usual work and catching up on laundry.

Good morning my Christmas friends!!! "Happy" Monday!!

It saddens me today to say that I de-Christmassed over the weekend! I wasn't ready, but it was time!! (Hubby) Lucy was such a PITA!!! She was steeling everything. Ripping boxes. Tearing off tape that I used to tape up boxes. She was so good the whole Christmas season! I guess she didn't want me to put it all away!! Little stinker!

I did put up some white & blue lights under the "snow" on my mantle/cabinet & banister. I need to get all my snowmen out yet. Maybe tonight! @Minta - look what I ended up ordering (and receiving already!) from LTD Commodities! I plan to let it up year round, but I'll probably take it down at Christmas to make room for my Christmas things! I ♥ it!! If you're still thinking about ordering it, I would recommend it!! ♥


I think the tree in our sunroom has seen it's last Christmas! Breaks my heart. I ♥ that tree! I bought it close to 25 years ago with my friend who I shared an apartment with. She has since passed away! I think of her every time I put it up! But the peg holes around the "trunk" you put the branches in are all breaking & the branches are falling! So bummed! Any tips where to buy an after Christmas sale tree online? This is my secondary tree so I don't want to spend a fortune. I want something that is easy to put up since my main tree takes a long time!! My sunroom tree is still up & will be up for awhile yet!! It makes me happy! (even though it's falling apart!)

Did everyone have a good weekend? After Friday late afternoon, I only left the house once to go to the grocery!! Such a nice & relaxing weekend. I finished watching Christmas Inheritance. I want to watch it again though! Hubby & I watched A Dogs Purpose last night. It was great, but as usual, not as good as the book! I can't believe it's Monday & back to work time already!!! Weekends just go too darn fast!!

Very sorry to read that you are not feeling better HMG. If I may ask, what are your symptoms? I'm on day 10 of coughing and congestion but not enough to go to the doctor's. It's never fun going but if that's what it takes to get you healthy again, don't wait. Take good care and have a nice day HMG.

Rocky is dying to play with the cats. And the cats are curious, they love to watch him. But I’m taking it slow because I don’t want one of them to take a swipe at him. Hopefully they’ll all be getting along soon!

I like the "North Woods" tree!

Could you shore up the peg holes in your sunroom tree with wood putty? Might be worth a try before you throw it out.

It's a natural herb, kind of like Natures Sunshine products. Not sure Rite Aid would have it? I order it online. It's not cheap! I order a "case" at a time (6 bottles) my MIL & SIL take it too & we share!

 

[Holiday]

Well, still no school here! They've been out all week since they were off for the holiday on Monday. That feels like a year ago! Part of our county is in the mountains, so the sunshine doesn't get to the shaded back roads & they are still icy in places. It's supposed to warm up this weekend & rain on Monday. School should be back in session then; fingers crossed! They either have one or two days left to use for "inclimate weather" before they will either use the two teacher inservice days they have left or eat into their spring break. I don't mind a snow day here and there over January & February, but a week off at a time is rough. DD's brain has probably forgotten everything she has learned in school this year over the past week!

Hope things are running as normal today!!! Supposed to be close to 60º here! What the heck???

There has been a lot of melting of snow today. Nice! The kittens are having trouble with the snow packing in their paw pads, so I would rather it would all melt. It is only January, so I'm sure more will be on the way.

Thanks M! He's back to "normal" LOL! Hope the kitties survived the snow in their pads!! Miss Lucy had duct tape stuck in her pads after ripping it off a Christmas box. She was not happy with her Dad when he took it off. LOL!
